The Multi level token is a great touch.
Did you by chance do the Vault and Alseta's Ring as well?

What about a repaired version?

Anyone have a map for the Pickled Ear and/or token images for the NPCs in Breachill? Thanks, this thread has been a real help!

I can't help with either, but I will say this: make sure to check out the last pages (after the ads) of every single book, they always have a portrait of one NPC, alongside an image of a specific Aiudara. Sometimes it's someone important, but sometimes it's just a Breachill NPC that they want to give some life to. For example, book 5 has Crink Twiddleton and Trinil Uskwold, two NPCs that do not appear at any point in the story, but that get fleshed out with a paragraph and some nice art.

A while ago I shared the flowchart I had created to visualize all of the interconnectedness in hellknight hill. Well now I've changed programs to one that lets me cretae unlimited nodes, and so I've expanded it. So far it includes information up to book 3, with fragments from some of the other books as well, but will continue to be expanded.

Hey, I was wondering if any of y'all could recommend maps I could use for running Hellknight Hill.

This thread has many maps from many different people. I created a bunch for Hellknight Hill, most are in the first page of this thread. Other folks have created some too, just browse around and you'll likely find something you can use.

Since I love using the Battle Cards so much I have decided to create some for many of the NPCs and creatures that my party may encounter in combat. I will pretty much be making these for anything that doesn't have a Battle Card already, as well as for those with elite/weak templates as I am always forgetting to make those adjustments mid-game. These are intended to be printed on Avery stock 5389 (4x6 postcard) duplex and landscape. They can also be printed on regular weight paper, but I'm using postcard stock as I have a card holder behind my GM screen that keeps them upright and I plan on storing them permanently with my official Battle Cards.

My party is just starting the third book, so I made one for the first encounter.

Made a 2 minute map in Dungondraft for the encounter with Dahak in the Huntergate. You can add a few red/orange lights in Foundry for additional ambiance.

So I worked through the heist in Book 5. Maybe it all made perfect sense to everyone but I really needed to lay it out visually to follow the action. Maybe it's helpful to someone else. It doesn't include all the heist instructions—I just needed a way to see the flow of exploration activities.

Task 1 Liberation Heist Flow

There was discussion in the GM thread about what counted as a scene and when Awareness Points increased; I treated a scene as each block of activities during a phase.

Good luck! Our first session was a little rough. I'd suggest figuring out how you want to handle it if the group decides to start trying to influence guilds right away and chooses guilds that can't be won over without completing a task.

Their best course of action is to start investigating, learning what guilds need some favors or help through the rumors or info they gather. My group immediately started influencing and selected a lot of guilds that couldn't be won over that way. In some cases I had them learn what they would have through investigation on a success (the guild members won't spend much time with you; they're all trying to figure out how to bring in this magnificent camel they've heard about); in other cases they were just stonewalled and I let them know they weren't making any headway.

Also, unless there's a subsystem somewhere I didn't read, I didn't see any way for them to learn what skills are a guild's favored skills. I just told them, but I also considered having that be another outcome of the Build Connections downtime activity.

Crink is well known in my game! He's the main shopkeeper/merchant in a level 4 town, so many of his common wares, both mundane and magical, are in the hands of the PCs.

This serves the function I wanted.

I was thinking of remaking it in something like WonderDraft to look like a paper map. But this works for hiding the stuff we don't know about.

I am obsessed, so I made some Invoices for the repair of Citadel Altaerein in Book 2.

It helps me keep track of repairs and payments but mostly made them for fun.

Maybe they'll be useful to someone else.

I created a subplot where Tuskhead Stoneworking and Posandi Bros are competing to rebuild the town hall's meeting room. Since the Posandi's have an ear in the council, Rorsk hired the party to convince the council to hire Tuskhead, suggesting that they might be able to find dirt on the Posandis.

To that end, I created a map of the Posandi Bros masonry company and hidden summoning circle under the rug in Amera's office. Hope y'all enjoy!

PNG Versions: https://imgur.com/a/m17NrKy
Dungeondraft / Universal Battlemap Versions: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ap3-TH04O88SktEcgEp1skVKTjsATA?e=ggvd4t

These maps were created with Forgotten Adventures assets. The Posandi Bros map is 28 by 20. The basement is 8 by 12 tiles. Both have a pixel density of 128 px / square inch.

For the adventure itself, Amera was going to be a Hellbound Attorney with a Zebub spy that would follow the party around if the Posandi's caught wind of the party's goals, or would act as a watch guard around the business otherwise and would run to Amera if the party found the basement.

The basement was going to be filled with traps, first the lock was going to be a Poisoned lock. Then the passage way to the chamber would contain a Spear Launcher that could be disabled by pulling down the unlit torch. Finally, the summoning circle was a Summoning Rune that would summon an imp. The imp would attempt to tempt the party with a contract (SPOILERS FOR AV).

When the party left the basement with evidence that the Posandi's worshiped devils, Amera would return with the Zebub for a fight.

Additional evidence against the Posandi's would be available to find, such as papers from Quintino to Amera indicating he still ran the company or secret drafts for a new town hall that included hidden elements. Lastly, a majority of the counselors could be convinced to vote for Stonetusk through diplomacy or intimidation.

Tuskhead v. Posandi has been one of my favorite background bits in my campaign, but my players refuse to take any bait I put in front of them. Every downtime session I make it a point to dangle something, no matter how overt or subtle, that pushes that particular storyline along but when my group's in downtime mode it's just accounting and then rushing back to kill stuff mode.

At one point a Phistolphilus even showed up in front of a PC, saying she'd heard about his [backstory plot] from an acquaintance in town and offered to help, but the player shot that down immediately and nobody followed up on why anyone in Breachill has contact with devils. Maybe I'll get to use your map someday, though.

My players will be reaching the Summershade Granite Quarry soon, so I created a tracker for the sluices. This easily lets you track the hitpoints of each sluice individually, the current level of water in the quarry pits as well as the timeline for the occupants of the pits drowning.

Cleaned Up Voz

Although it's been a while, I figured I'd post this. My group likes pics of NPCs, but the official portrait of Voz is much too ha-ah-I'm-an-evil-necromancer for my taste. So I made an altered, less-obvious version.

I used a combo of Crognus's simplified costs as representing total labor and supply costs but each activity still requires a single check related to the upgrade.

Basically, I've made Administering the Citadel more about planning the repairs and upgrades to speed the activities and organizing workers about reducing waste in labor and supply cost. So PCs will choose an activity, like "Build Infirmary". They pick one PC to do an Administer (society, crafting or recall knowledge) check. The crit success and success decrease the number of days for the activity and gives a bonus to the next organize labor roll. Failure means the activity takes the full time and crit fail increases the time it takes due to poor planning.

One PC can then Organize Labor and they recruit workers and the party's rep goes up in town for being good employers. Crit success and success reduce the cost of the activity and give a bonus to the next administer check. Failure means they pay full cost, crit failure the cost increases due to slow workers wasting materials.

So one activity gets 3 checks: Administer, Organize, and then the skill check for the activity. Crafting or Medicine for the infirmary, for example.

Anyway. let me know what y'all think and give me any corrections or feedback.

I just saw this. This is really cool. Glad you liked the subsystem.

A bit late Kerblam, but here is my version of the Pickled Ear: https://imgur.com/a/lOsMFZi

It's 300px per square inch and made with Dungeon Alchemist. For ease of creation, the basement appears in the top right but is actually accessed through the trap door in the kitchen, which leads to the stairs in the bottom right of the basement.

Hello again,

Since my party loves Roxy so much, I decided to modify the encounter at the beginning of Book 3 to take place in The Pickled Ear.

I've added a trapped version of the Pickled Ear battle map to my collection and I've converted the Trapped Lathe to a Trapped Pickler, full of vinegary goodness. I've added a Foundry and Image version of the trap to the collection as well.

How does one access the room in the northeast corner of the Pickled Ear? I do not see any doors, just a ladder. Unless that is a door in the top left corner?

The intent was for the trap door in the top right corner of the kitchen to lead to the basement. I noticed while making the trapped version that I had accidentally included a normal door between the kitchen and the basement. That is not supposed to be there and I’ll remove the actual door later today. Troubles of using AI powered software.

Hi all, I believe this is the best place to drop this:

Have remade all the Tomorrow Must Burn maps in Inkarnate, plus some extra maps for the encounters that didn't have them.
Hope they may be useful to someone.

https://imgur.com/a/Hg12tLD

First time making maps or using Inkarnate, so have learned a lot in the process.
One of those lessons being that Inkarnate is not ideal for making maps as large as the ones towards the end of this book...
I think I'll try a different software for the next book, or rely on other people's work.

Thanks for reading!

Oh, I didn't mean recreations of the maps from the book, I was talking about the encounters that don't have maps like the goliath spider fight, ghost mages, etc. I plan on using the ruined buildings map from Chapter 2 for this, but was hoping there were other ruins variations floating out there for variety.

Thank you for the response though.
