It started off with the cleaned up fort since there is not one in book 1, then it was much easier to download from his site then drag and drop it to roll20. I had issues trying to use the interactive map onea and had to edit the ones from the pdf books. So it's a much needed time saver.

I even stopped creating the tokens for the npc's due to the amount of time I had to spend in photoshop.

I just finished a Google Sheet document for managing the Citadel between book 1 and 2.
I just spend way too much time working on that... So posting a "generic" version here so that it can be useful to more people.

The "calendar" parts are not dynamic... Sorry, but you'll have to either trash them, or update them to fit your game timeline.
It is setup for 5 players, but should be easy to modify for more (for less, just "ignore" the extra slots)

Warning: The "Hired Help" sheet have ALL NPCs listed. Remove the ones the players have not met before sharing with them, if you don't want them to be spoiled. I made a "player" copy, edited to remove spoilers, and I'll be copy-pasting from GM sheet to Player sheet when they meet the others.

If the link don't work, poke me, I'll repost.
(BTW, this is a "view only" share link. If you wanna use/edit it, make a copy. :P )

These are awesome! But some of them won't load into Roll20. I think it might be file size. Hard to tell; Roll20 is kinda sucky at the best of times and I don't think everyone switching over to it is helping.

Anyone running this on there? Know any good tricks for it? Alternatively, what do I need to buy to run this on Fantasy Grounds? Really thinking about it.

I'd reduce the file size by either lowering the resolution or converting the maps into jpgs. You could also take larger maps with multiple encounters in them and cut them into multiple smaller maps. roll20 doesn't handle large image files especially well. I haven't had any problems with images 5 mb and smaller.

Side note, but for aligning the maps to roll20's grid, I would actually recommend a different method than using roll20's grid alignment tool.

1. Crop the battlemap to just the grid.
2. Note the battlemap's dimensions.
3. Make a roll20 map with those dimensions.
4. Add the battlemap to roll20. Put it in the map, then right click the image. Go to Advanced -> Set dimensions. Change from pixels to units and set the dimensions of the battlemap to the dimensions you noted earlier.
5. Move the battlemap so that all of it is visible and it should be perfectly aligned with the roll20 grid.

I started using Roll20 due to the pandemic, and for his maps it´s a matter of resing him to to around 2 MB, then i just put the image there, put it bigger and then align to grid, after a few tries it's done!

Any maps which are just the outside layout of the citadel so I can give that to my players (and mark where holes and doors are) before they decide where to head in and I can have them explore room by room?

I posted a GIMP map on the first page of this thread that may be what you're looking for.

My party is already creeping up on Broken Promises so the stuff in here isn't of much use to me, but after transitioning to Roll20 I understood how much work all of this is. You guys are absolute rock stars.

Here's a pair of maps I edited to fit the unique circumstances at the start of Book 6.

Thanks to Ruzza for making the non-wrecked Altaerein for me to edit. They're not super hi-res but they'll set the mood.

It looks like for some reason Paizo didn't include the three levels of the Tanessen Tower maps in their "Tomorrow Must Burn" PDFs. Has anyone made these on their own?

I see that they're not in the interactive maps, but they are in the adventure.

The first floor (or sixth floor) is on page 41 and the other two floors on page 43.

For sure, but I'm looking for ones that don't have location tags on them. I suppose it's not the end of the world to have map tags, but one of the things I like about the interactive maps is the option to turn those off so you can get a "clean" player version. I can't for the life of me figure out why they left the tower out of the interactive maps since it's such an important part of Book 3.

Would be grateful for help.

It's pretty easy to create those by yourself. Make a screenshot from the pillar and go to Tokenstamp

What i meant were pure png pillars without backgrounds to take them onto some of my maps.
Would that be possible to get?

Inspired by FedoraFerret's great work here, I took this and turned this into something that could be shared as a physical prop. Then COVID-19 happened so I turned it into a digital handout.

My players just got to this point on Sunday and loved this.

Currently putting together some handouts for Voz's journal and research found after confronting her and can share that if anyone is interested!

Awesome work!!!!

Echoing previous sentiments that that is a very good journal handout. My players are well past book 1 and I'm still going to show it to them.

Thanks all!

Here is a folder that contains contents of what the PCs find after defeating Voz. A few recent journal entries, scraps of research on Alsetta's Ring, her notes on the occult ritual performed in the basement of the citadel, and most importantly, a letter to her from Laslunn.

Hoping my players find this more interesting than just giving them a summary of the information they find.

Dates on the journal are pretty specific to my campaign, but hopefully folks find some of these other bits useful!

I know I'm late to the party but here are my Cult of Cinder Contributions so far... https://imgur.com/gallery/sKLp7sy

Made with Wonderdraft and DungeonDraft.

The Mwangi hex map is blank and while the river isn't perfect I think it's close enough.

Jungle 1, 2 and the Burnt Village are also there. 200px grids

I hope to add to this more.

Is there anyone with a Cult of Cinders random encounter table?

I've identified monsters in Bestiary 1 that fit the setting and level range but might want to see someone else's take.

I cooked up a flyer to give to my players advertising 'The War Cage' in Kintargo, so I figured I would post it here too.

link

Pathfinder Pathfinder Accessories, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Would renting equipment to adventurers be a viable business model? It should be assumed a good chunk of them don't come back.

The idea isn't super well explained in the flyer itself, but the premise is that you rent equipment for adventurers to use while you improve their current gear (ex: you give them a weapon to use while you use their +2 potency runestone to improve their +1 striking greatsword). If the renter doesn't come back by the end of the 30 days, the store keeps the gear they improved, essentially treating that equipment as collateral against the rental. There would need to be a restriction on what gear can be rented depending on what equipment is being left to be improved (so that unscrupulous adventurers don't leave cheap weaponry behind so they can abscond with more valuable rental equipment).

EDIT: it's also worth mentioning that The War Cage also engages in more conventional commerce, so this gimmick-y rental service is not their only revenue stream

The whole reason I'm making something like this is because my players tend to treat most situations as having lots of urgency, whether they actually do or not. So I'm giving them an opportunity to improve their gear without slowing down, at the cost of spending some extra cash and trusting that Chuko will keep their stuff safe.

Dataphiles

So, as my players are going to be spending a lot of time in the Portal Room, or at least are going to be coming back a lot, I took a page out of MSAbaddon's book and made something in DungeonFog (although just with free assets)

Portal Vaults

the tiles are 70dpi and 18x18 tiles. it's ready to drop right into roll20

I've not decorated the alcoves because I plan on using Animated Portals, specifically this pack: ASV2 Portals

Updated door placement of some of the Tomorrow Must Burn and Fires of the Haunted City maps to be better usable with virtual tabletop systems like Foundry or Roll20.
I also added two versions of Citadel Altaerein – the original version from Hellknight Hill (including Alseta’s Ring without Goblinblood Caves) and the maintained and modified version of our adventure group after gaining ownership (including an alchemy lab, a stonemasonry workshop, a library, a prison, a training hall, shrines to Pharasma and Nethys, a Druid Grove, …).

A little late to the party, but hopefully helpful for those still in Book 1. I wrote up some text for the deed to the Citadel. I couldn't find anything anyone had done already, so I figured it might be a bit of a time saver for someone down the road. Feel free to modify dates, names, etc. and use however you want.

Deed to Citadel Altaerein Full Text:

THIS DEED made this 25th day of Abadius, in the year 4682 by the Reckoning of Aroden, by Polonius Acillmar, Lictor of the Order of the Nail (hereafter the Grantor), grants ownership of Citadel Altaerein and everything inside (hereafter the Property), to the undersigned who have claimed this title by or through the retrieval of this document (hereafter the Grantee), in accordance to the Isgeri Code Section 9 Article 4 Clauses 5 and 6. This transaction removes all liability of the Order of the Nail to maintain, pay taxes, mortgage, lease, or otherwise manage or dispose of the Property. The Grantees assume all the aforementioned responsibilities, in addition to any other responsibilities required by the Isgeri Code for proper ownership, maintenance, and usage of the Property.

The Grantor specifically reserves the right (i) to revoke the ownership of the Property by the Grantees should the Grantees fail to maintain and possess the Property in accordance to the Isgeri Code, or (ii) to dictate new ownership of the Property if the Grantees fail to keep the Property in a state of order.

Witnesses to the legitimacy of THIS DEED, and the legality of the circumstances under which it was constructed:
<signed, Polonius Acillmar, Lictor>, <signed, Thaddeus Stagram, Paralictor>, <signed, Misandro Posandi, Council President, Breachill>

The undersigned agree to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the Grantees as described by THIS DEED:

THANK YOU MSAbaddon for saving my hide! I am working 60 hours a week from home on my job and it is killing me. The only saving me is our now weekly Age of Ashes campaign. Each Saturday night, this group of 8 friends with 35 years of gaming experience gathers to play through this pandemic. I don't have time to create maps or to really learn Roll20. If it wasn't for this message board and your amazing map work, I would be LOST! This community is amazing. I am grateful and humbled by you all!
