Wow. That... is something...Is she single?

I mean, that was the whole point of Inner Sea Gods, are we at least getting new information about them, or is it basically a reprint? As I mentioned in a sister thread, this information supplements that in Inner Sea Gods to a large extent. It focuses on the role of the gods themselves, how to handle divine intervention, and talks about their planar realms.
There's some reprint when it comes to listing things like their domains and sacred animals and the like, but a lot of new information when it comes to their allies and enemies and homes.
(It's always kind of bothered me that we never gave a name to the planar domains of most of the deities until now, or that we've never said in print which deities are lovers, or provided advice to GMs as to what to do if you want divine intervention in the game—THOSE are the topics, which are in large part not covered in any other product we've ever published, that I wanted to include in this book. Overall, the core 20 get much less than "2 pages per" though.)
I like to know that we are getting informations that were never confirmed "in print" and "not covered in any other product". *---*

Its kind of hard for gigas to be popular though because they only appear in adventure path bestiaries <_< I mean, how can something be popular when it doesn't ever have chance of appearing in normal bestiary?
Still saying that in 2e they should introduce more gigases since 2e statblocks are shorter than 1e. Besides, its not like Paizo has been above reprinting AP bestiary monsters before and nothing says they couldn't be altered if problem is that they don't have mechanical role.

Other monsters have made the transition out of the AP bestiaries into print... lots of them. When I say the gigases aren't popular, that also means that they are, for various reasons, not popular with some folks at Paizo itself. And if you don't have a lot of fans in the company itself as a monster, you've got an uphill battle for sure.

Question. I assume that most monsters are outsiders, but is there anyway that this being the final book will have a couple of Monstrous Humanoids/Other types that fill the wholes in some spells?
This seems like our last chance (Especially in PFS) to get a Diminutive Monstrous Humanoid for MP3.
"Filling the holes in spells" isn't something that's really a goal for us in creating monsters, to be honest. Monsters are GM tools first and foremost, and when there are player-facing rules that use monsters, that's cool but it's not the primary purpose of them. I get it that this means that for some of the polymorph spells there are "holes," but with a creative and/or permissive GM, that's not an issue. And if you really want to be a diminutive creature and you can't do so as a monstrous humanoid... pick a spell that does allow that option, I guess. Or talk to your GM about being able to make up your own versions of them (it's possible to re-size any monster in the game, after all), have your GM make up options, or pull in options from 3rd party sources. OR check out the hundreds of monsters we've published in the bestiaries of the Adventure Paths (and we've still got over a year more of those to come).
Anyway. Now that I'm in the office, which is where my advanced copy of the book lives, I can give a list of all the monster types in the book as a preview:
Zero HD native outsiders: 3
Other Outsiders: 11
Constructs: 1
Plants: 2
Magical Beasts: 1
Monstrous Humanoids: 1
Oozes: 1
Dragons: 1
Aberrations: 1
Mostly outsiders, but that shouldn't surprise anyone. No animals, fey, humanoids, undead, or vermin, though.

Yeah, in home games we just allow the small ones to be "Smaller" but for PFS it is a disappointment.
I am very excited about the book in general though. I love lore, in fact while many of my friends are rallying against 2e because of mechanics change I am excited, because to me the setting is pathfinder.
So a big ol' book about the planes of existence? Sign me up.
(Funnily enough I tried to subscribe to the line for early access and realized I was already a subscriber)

To be honest I hope in PF2 you go for something more like how summoning monsters works in Starfinder. The polymorph subschool already stops the caster from getting almost all unique monster abilities, which means all that matters is natural attacks and movement methods. The only spell which is an exception is the Fey Shape line from Ultimate Wilderness, which gives you a bunch of actually powerful unique abilities, but comes with the problem of being a much worse spell the less sourcebooks you have.
I played a metamorph alchemist up to seeker levels in PFS, so I couldn't be creative or make new forms regardless of what the GM wanted. I went through every humanoid and monstrous humanoid in the bestiaries and adventure paths myself, and my master of shapeshifting used maybe about ten different forms total in their entire career (troglodyte, sasquatch, popobola, aquatic gargoyle, maenad, vouivre, tikabalang, gegeenes, thriae queen, and saurian) because almost all of them ended up being bite/claw/claw, with low light vision and/or darkvision.
Regardless, greatly looking forward to this book. Any chance of an "Outsider Shape" spell showing up?

Could someone remind me of how many pages each plane and each demiplane is getting?
I'm really anxious to know more about the positive energy planes, the manasaputra and the jyoti, as much as I'm curious about what will we get for the CR 20 Archon.
Each plane gets 6 pages. Each demiplane gets 1 page.

John Ryan, I like how you think. every spell caster dumb enough to cast an astral representation of their soul should have possible consequences to that action.
Also, Gold Sovereign, is there a link to where James mentioned the possibility of other campaign setting bestiaries?
P.S.
James, Thank whoever chose to put an aberration, an ooze, and some plants in this book. My tentacled overlords approve. ;)
