It talks about changing creatures "Same kingdom (animal, vegetable, mineral) +5
Same class (mammals, fungi, metals, etc.) +2
Same size +2
Related (twig is to tree, wolf fur is to wolf, etc.) +2
Same or lower Intelligence +2"
Once you get to a +9 the duration is permanent. So Kingdom, size, and Intelligence gets one to a +9.
He wouldn't even need a mortal minion, he could call one up with a Planar Binding.
Of course it might not make a satisfying story for Raz to go with this plan, but given his resources, I would like a consistent reason why he wouldn't. It always jars my suspension of disbelief when well informed people in magical worlds with access to that level of magic, don't use it.

I hate to be a bother, but can someone who has or who wrote the book tell me is there anything in the book that allows Psychics to use mind affecting spells on Constructs/Robots?
There's nothing that broad, no. The mindtech psychic discipline does give psychics a spell-like ability that mimics control construct at 13th level, but it doesn't go beyond that.

Primal Magic events can do all sorts of nifty stuff. Heal/Harm, unluck zones that use the Pugwumpi double-roll-take-worst effect, morale bonus to attacks and saves if you join a chant that fills the air, magic jar body-swap, etc. They're random, but I can see someone wanting to take the power to do all sorts of crazy stuff.
The school on Jalmeray gets 4 pages and the Lashunta city gets one.
Just how does one gain access to these alternate keneticist abilities ?

Alas, never will I know the joys of Mindthrusting Hellion. :-p
Thanks for letting me know.
Hey Ixos, while its not psytech, there is a niche way to affect constructs with some mind-affecting spells! If you haven't heard of the Impossible bloodline, it might do the trick.

Who or what is the Ancient One hanging out in the cave?

How about those new idol-things?
I answered this a bit up thread. They are part intelligent magic items, part lesser gods that come to be as a result of worship by a large group of people (100+) over a long period of time. Their level of power is entirely based on how many worshipers they have. Like intelligent magic items, they have mental attributes, an alignment, and an ego score.

Generic,
Does it happen to mention anything about say, evil outsiders posing as idols?
Like maybe Nemesis Devils?
No, nothing like that. The four pages are devoted entirely to rules about idols, with two examples given - one good, one evil. If you're interested in seeing an idol in action...

Thanks! I was about to plug the same thing. :)

While it is not explicitly spelled out in the idol creation rules, the possessing entity of an idol that gives it its spark of divinity (a spark that lingers even when it loses all its worshipers) is left nebulous, so GMs are free to explore that territory with their creations. The item possession rules from Occult Adventures could allow for some interesting circumstances with idols as well.
And while we're at risk of over-promoting House on Hook Street in this thread, you will definitely want to keep an eye out for how these rules play out in that adventure, and the circumstances that might give rise to an idol that are certainly pertinent to your interests. ;-)

P. 38 of Occult Realms implies that Gensmaren was founded as a supply fort of Taldor's Second Army of Exploration. This seems to contradict Seekers of Secrets, p. 14, which states that it was the Third Army that did this. Is this an Occult Realms "oops"?
God, I feel as if I just emerged from my nerd chrysalis as a fully-formed and terrifying chicken-decapitating geek.

The Gensmaren entry in Occult Realms defaults to the background on the fort given on page 160 of The Inner Sea World Guide, which establishes that it's one of the series of supply forts the Second Army of Exploration established in the region. Seeker of Secrets was in error, but that was corrected in the ISWG (although the Gensmaren entry does incorrectly refer to the Second Army of Expansion, instead of Exploration).
EDIT: Also, as an aside, prior to the ISWG, we hadn't codified exactly which armies went where and did what, so that might help explain the discrepancy a bit.

I'll throw this out there to really excite folks. The mindtech psychic discipline's 20th level ability allows you to upload your consciousness into a robot.
:D
Is it a discipline or archetype? Because no other disciplines have powers gained beyond the 13th level, but I suppose an archetype could change the capstone for the base Psychic class.

what are the legendary medium spirits in the book?
Abrograil Thrune I (Hierophant) - founder of current Cheliax regime
Ambras Imre (Trickster) - established the Daggermark Poisoner's guildArnisant (Guardian) - Taldan general who sacrificed himself to help trap Tar-Baphon in the Shining Crusade
Azghaad I (Marshal) - ancient founder or Osirion
Savith (Champion) - Azlanti who didn't play well with serpentfolk
Sulesh the Great (Archmage) - powerful genie binder in Kelesh

So, how do the Thassilonian phantoms work? Are they new emotional focuses and could they stack with the Id Rager?
Those listed are new emotional focuses, and they work with the id rager about as well as the previous ones did. If your GM is lenient about the id rager archetype, the lust focus makes a great protector.

Thanks. What are the foci again? Lust, Greed, and Pride?

I've got to say, whoever wrote the bit on the Heralds Fall phenomenon, its phenomenal. Love the idea of a sort of genius loci megahaunt and the fact that it relates to Arazni and a chance to learn more about her is top stuff. So much so that its already being worked into our campaign.
Are there plans to do anything with it or expand it at all ever? If not, any suggestions on what to throw in there, my players are planning to go in on the hopes they can find a tiny sliver of who she was before her death and undeath as part of their ongoing plans for her redemption .

Correct! ^_^
Lust is the real standout for me, as it changes the function of the phantom in a way that I always like to see.
