You have gained a level. Congrats. Is Zherxikas still with us? He has not posted in a bit. This would be a good time for him to go in a different direction if he is not responding. So instead of following the pixie he could complain about it being too wet and too cold and continue on to Turtleback Ferry where he could be found later if need be.

It is unlikely the cold will affect Isabella. If she misses her save then she will take 1d6 cold damage which she will most likely block. If she misses her save and I roll a 6 then the cold has managed to get to her and she will begin suffering some of the results. Not overly likely but possible.

With marching chant you can make it to Bitter Hollow in two days. Drat, I was hoping to take some toes off you guys. A little trench foot followed by frostbite. Wouldn't it be fitting if you had like 8 toed Runt and one eared Forest?

Do you mind if I hover? I don't want to take away from Mr Dreadful's dignitas but jumping into a game partway as a new GM may be a little difficult and he may find it is more than he wants to tackle up front.

That's another reason I was thinking of taking a level of alchemist. I don't think it's too much of a stretch as he has been messing with alchemy the whole time. This would give him more bombs and brew potion. Then I could branch out into other potions which someone with just craft alchemy wouldn't necessarily be able to do.

Bert went under the water and was attacked so yes, the troll is submerged.

Forest takes his shot and what a shot it is. When he steps to the edge he believes he can see the shadowy outline of the creature down in the water and releases. It hits, or so it seems.

The main reason for the first group to come down was to see if there were other shards of the Sihedron star down here since one was found here earlier. The second group was pursuing the missing persons issue. You had found evidence that led you to the pylon and are on the search for the missing people or clues to those who may have taken them. The peculiar thing about the missing people is that some had been found. They all had their memories wiped, to include who they were so they were found wandering the darkside of the bridge area. There was reported activity at the pylon so you came this direction to check it out. The tower girls were operating here but had been taken down by the first group. Plus, they seemed to be looting the place, not working a kidnapping caper. So you are still on a search for answers.

No one else on the team decides to touch either of the columns so with an energized and enthusiastic Aurie in the lead they head for the crying lemure. As you approach his area you can still hear his lament.

Don't know about anyone else but I found that second letter by Adophus horribly difficult to read so I decided to type it out so I could look it over more easily. I didn't type out the bottom because it did not seem pertinent to the investigation.

My mentor Selmius Foster, is dead - slain during our journey to the island of Bhopan. I have taken up his investigation into Eylysia's activities, though recent developments mean my time in Absalom is short.

My initial followup of Foster's investigation into Arkath involved hiring several diviners to discern the veracity of Selius's leads. It appears the stonemason was quite honest with my mentor; there is some key clue buried with him in his mausoleum.

I have watched Eylysia for many months since my return, and I have caught her making additionas to the Wall of Names = the memorial built in honor of my departed mentor. She has added three names, none of which are true Pathfinders and are likely worth investigating. Their names are:

Actually, I don’t mind sneaking. But in this case, we just don’t have enough information to be breaking into somebody’s business. As far as we know, she met with her brother, they cried it out and she spent the evening and just hasn’t come home yet. Or, they had a big fight with daddy And that’s why the business isn’t open and now they’ve been grounded to their room. As soon as we have evidence of foul play or that somebody is in danger, then Garen will be happy to break everything.

I missed that one, of course it counts.

In the evenings, after the shops close, Kizzy sings songs and shares ballads of the amazing victories of the Heroes of Sandpoint. Each member is presented with awe and wonder throughout the tellings. The first night, Kizzy is so impressive that an older merchant, moved to tears because he has family in Sandpoint, gifts her with an emerald necklace that once belonged to his grandmother, an original settler of Sandpoint. If you lowered your Agility and Presence by 2 each that gives you back 8 points total. You have two agility skills and two presence skills. To keep their bonuses you spend 2 points for 8 skill points and done. You have to bring your dodge back up to 12 costing 2 points. This gives you a net 4 points to work with for other things.

I know you are trying to have a smart character but you could do the same thing with Intelligence. Go with a 3 Int, recoup 2 points and then spend that point on skills to raise all three intel skills by 1 to make up the difference, add 1 to one of those skills, and still have 1 power point left for other things.

I did mention trap spotting, "As he goes he looks for any traps or hazards (Perception +10) and listens for signs of monsters." If you prefer, I can make the rolls myself.

Kevan puts up a hand hoping those behind him notice, then he moves up to the trapped crossbow looking for the best way to disarm it without triggering something (disable device +10).

Disable device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Not his best moment but since you do not auto fail, maybe he didn't disable it but perhaps he did not set it off either.

the last two ogres are cleanup duty and between the three ladies in the hall and the scorpion they close it out. Vale arrives upstairs and hustles in only to run down the stairs to find the final ogre dead on the floor. Forest likewise circles around along the top and eventually comes down the stairs. An excellent flanking maneuver, albeit slow, but ultimately futile. A check around the keep and the areas outside in the rain reveals no remaining ogres. You have retaken Fort Ranick.
