I am not sure where this week went. I feel like I had a bout of depression and could not be inspired. I had work evaluations so that probably hit me hard, even though I did well. I put too much stress on myself.

On my health side, I still have a cough that seems to get better then flares up again. Luckily my lungs have cleared up.

No Varnhold is East of Castle Khorvian. Yeah with the direction of North on the map being towards the top left corner of the map, its easy to get lost.

Guide weighs 135 and can minimize his gear to 15 pounds.

Good point, he's not that big and strong yet. I weigh about 165 with about 50# of gear. I could stow down to 24#.

According to carrying capacity, a large creature gets x2 the table amount which is for med creatures.

Reaper has a STR of 22 which is a base of 173 pounds as a light load. Multiplied by 2 that would be 346 pounds. I think this makes sense as the entry for a ROC says that some giants use them as mounts, though I would think at half speed.

Wasn't tracking a 100'+ drop so I need a little more on description. Not sure how we could have seen them but I was originally thinking a tunnel mine. This sounds more like a strip mine, a quarry if you will. The giant husks near the mine are down at the bottom I assume with the huge one between them? We are at the top of the steps, are there rails, ropes, or is it open? If it is a pit, even if it is a pit inside a mountain, how big is it across?

Yeah it is a pretty big mining operation with multiple caves and a massive quarry.

There is a set of wooden stairs that starts near the village and descends down into the quarry. There are 100 foot sheer cliffs which lead down to a 40 foot wide path, then sheer cliffs again.


At the top of the stairs the huge husk and large ones are kneeled around it.

The quarry is about 2 miles across. It is a big quarry. The skeletons are filling up wagons with material.

There are rails along the side closet to the village. Also along the stairs that seem relatively new like the stairs.

I thought we were just beating on things and not attacking anyone per se. i guess it depends on if there is something that can react to us. If it can, surprise round; if not, regular round. That’s a DM call.

As I said above, I misread. Sometimes searches show up with earlier versions. I read the regular hide from undead but thought it was the greater version. They are unintelligent undead. So only one can attack at a time.... which is weird... something for you to figure out.
