With their meeting finished Vinesa went with Zamaris and Argen out of the office and listened to the discussion. As they went she considered her own reasons for becoming involved and caught Zamaris glancing at her as she spoke about other places elves lived. Vinexa suspected this woman thought her a forest elf, something that wasn't so far from the truth she supposed, but didn't add much about that part of the conversation.

After a minute or two Vinexa finally spoke, "I'm getting involved because I know what it is like to have to resist darkness all the time. We all have our demons, be they within or without ourselves, and sometimes we all need some help resisting their call." She sighed as she walked, "What these dwarves are going through seems much the same so I am helping them because I can kind of understand their plight."

Vinexa looked at the rather large man and recognized the human from the bar. He seemed even bigger up close and she wasn't sure how she missed noticing him before. That inner voice spoke to her again at seeing him, Hmmm, he could be useful, we should make him Ours and use him for our own purposes.

Vinexa shook her head as she mentally replied to the voice, NO! The voice seemed annoyed but was silent for now. Vinexa nodded and said, "I agree with Zanaris, a guide would be useful, though I wouldn't want to put him in danger of succumbing if we didn't need to."

Nodding firmly Mylyna says, "If you say so." Hearing Nalada's words caught Mylyna's attention and she realized this probably wasn't a very smart thing to be doing. Having realized that she didn't hesitate to attempt to scoop Wallace up and slither out of the circle and down the stairs with him.

As Walace sked to say goodbye to his Grams Mylyna felt a bit of moisture leak from her eye. She agreed with her companions words agreeing and slithered forward to hug him real before letting him go. As they made their way back down to the room where the devil woman was trapped. That she couldn't see Wallace even when he was right in front of her was interesting.

Mylyna, not being the smartest cookie, found this fascinating and, without thinking, slithered into the circle to where Wallace was. "You really can't see him huh?" She leaned down to place her hands on Wallace's shoulders, "He's right here...can you feel him if you reach out?"

Missed that, I just assumed we were doing away with the spoilers for simplicity sake or something. If it's in common then I would be speaking in that and no translation needed.

Vinexa listened intently to the translation of what was going on as they met with the dwarf in charge. To say it was unpleasant was an understatement. She found the origin story of the dwarves to be intriguing and the likely reason the dwarves went missing worried her. She considered carefully committing to aid the dwarves but finally resolved to do so. Her mother taught her to do what was right and helping these people was exactly that.

Vinexa began to speak, allowing Zamaris to translate from Elven to dwarven for her, and said, "I'll help too." The fact that these dwarves were being spoken to by a dark power was something that Vinexa understood quiet well she knew how insidious it could be, and she wanted to help people resist if she could. "Do you have any idea what kinds of dangers are we likely to face, what kinds of things might they be making that we have to fight?" After a moment's more of thought Vinexa also asked, "Do you have any idea how we can stop the source when we find it or what we are looking for?"

Vinexa felt a wash of relief roll through her at Zamaris' reaction to her name. She had feared the other would know of her and her circumstances and treat her like the others. She rose along with Zamaris, waved goodbye to the dwarves, and quickly paid her tab before saying to Zamaris,

Elven:
"I'm ready when you are."
As they were going out the door Vinexa directed a thought to the inner voice, See, told you so! The voice just grumbled in response irritably.

When Vinexa and Zamaris reached their destination she let Zamari do her thing and listened what she found out. It was disappointing that they were being turned away but she considered and said to her,

Elven:
"I think trying to talk our way through would be best, if we can't then come back tomorrow?"

Falina listened to what the Lichtor said about the founding of their order and she remembered the events of that time herself. When he spoke of the defeat of that ass who was abducting children and how he was cut down Falina smile evilly at the memory. By the time she finished replaying the memory the discussion was winding down and Falina said, "Yes, I remember the night your founder took down that fool very well. The rest of us were quite grateful that you took that idiot down, even those of us who sided with him up to that point found his actions wrong and his fall was fitting." Her gaze became slightly vacant as she remember that day, so long ago, as best she could and said, "The look on his face when your founder killed him was priceless."

Falina looked at the Lichtor directly, her form having been allowed to shift to her true appearance while everyone was distracted, and asked, "Tell me, does your order still remember the remaining rebel leaders from that day? Do they remember their names and what they looked like..." her voice trailed off and then her gaze firmed as she finished by asking, "do they remember me?"

Momijii felt a wash of relief as the ticklebang finally went down. She didn't like this place, not at all, and she was determined to make sure they all left in one piece this time. When the new creatures appeared she was wary, and adopted a defenisve stance, but did not attack them. She wasn't sure what they were but fortunately Zarine did and so she let the other woman do the talking.

Feena said a few words in an arcane tongue and gestured then touched the center of her forehead and then the same spot on Lola's. There was a brief connection of light between the points and then it was done. Casts Mind Link. After it was done Feena said, "Thank you Lola, for giving me the courage to go on."

Lola:
You see this all through Feena's eyes.
It was a cold day, at least it was compared to where Feena grew up, and she shivered as she pulled her cloak closer. Despite her dislike of the temperature Feena still looked around in nervous curiosity. To her eyes, so used to the searing heat and light of Katapesh the land was dull and boring. Sure there were people walking about in the middle of the day instead of sleeping through the worst of the heat, and there was plenty of green, but she missed the way the heat made the air shimmer and allowed her to see behind the dunes from the way the light bent around the edge.

Feena didn't have that here and she found herself saddened. There was no music, the people looked strange in their concealing clothes, and she didn't like it. With a sigh of resignation she set her eyes on the man in front of her as he looked back and said, "Hurry up Feena, we need to catch the wagon that is waiting for us, they won't wait for long."

Nodding a strand of her red hair fell across her face and one of the lenses of her spectacles. With an annoyed puff of air she blew the strands to the side and focused on the man. He was older now, his hair mostly gone grey, but to Feena he was still the most handsome and kind man that ever lived. To her he exuded a fiery warmth, one that comforted Feena and she said, "Yes Gregory, coming."

As the pair made their way through the town Feena found the drabness and chill weighing on her ever more and she wasn't sure she would survive the place, or find any joy, except what she would get from being with Gregory, the only person who had ever cared for her. It was then she heard it, the strange music played on a guitar, an instrument she had heard before. Her gaze was drawn to the person playing it. It was a woman, that much she could tell, but she wasn't sure of what race. And the language she sang in was entirely foreign to her.

Feena came to a stop looking back at the strange figure and listened to her music. It was very different from what she knew, but not unpleasant, and she quickly found herself entranced by the sound and words. She forgot to even follow Gregory as she stood there and it wasn't until he came to her and lay a hand gently on her shoulder that she realized he had left her. He never touched her like that unless she got too distracted and needed the contact to focus her. "Gregory, who is she?"

Gregory shook his head and said, "I don't know who she is Feena." It was obvious to those nearby he wanted her to move along so they could catch their ride but he didn't act on the urge. Instead he looked to a nearby guard who was passing by and asked, "Who is the singer?"

The guard said, "That is Lola Aguilar-Vargas, a traveling bard from Arcadia I hear."

"Is she some kind of Pharasmin," Gregory asked, "I've never heard of them being ones for song like this."

The guard shook his head and said, "No, I think she might be connected to Shelyn given her vocation."

Gregory nodded and said, "Ah, that could be, though the death motif is in bad taste."

The song ended and Feena sighed as she turned to Gregory, "I'm sure there's a reason for it Gregory, and I'm sorry for falling behind like that." She gave him a quick hug, "I needed to listen to that, thank you."

The man looked down at her and said, "Are you alright Feena? I know you don't want to be here and it's not too late, I could send you back to Katapesh."

Sjaking her head vigorously Feena said, "No Gregory, where you go so to go I. I have no one else but you in this world and I won't leave you just because of this." Feena looked in the direction of the singer, "beside, maybe this place won't be so bad after all." Shouldering her pack to square it up she said, "Come on, we should get going before we miss the wagon." She turned her back and lost sight of the singer but heard the music for some time in the silence of her mind.

Dom:
Falina considered what Dom said as he spoke and while he was close he wasn't quite right either. Typical man thinking she wanted to be the one to go with him. She decided that he'd gotten close enough to the truth that she could correct him and glared at him, with somewhat less heat than before, "It's not because you didn't wait for me fool, it's because you didn't take someone along to watch your back!" She strode towards him with determine, angry, steps and glared up at him as best she could being as short as she was in comparison. Any onlooker might have thought it was funny, expect for the fact they likely didn't want the woman to turn on them.

"You followed me on when I tried to seduce information from those guards on the holding house because you were worried it might not go as I planned," she said as she continued to glower at him, "You were right to do so as was shown by the end result." She paused as she continued to glare, "You should practice what you preach of having backup!" With that she whirled away and prepared to storm off to cool down.

Cass did not sleep well that night. It started off alright due to sheer exhaustion but early in the morning she woke up coughing blood worse than the day before. She tried to perform her morning devotion to Shelyn but found her body just wasn't up to it and gave up. She ate as much as she could and, despite her lack of trust in Innis now, did as requested and took the front.

Cass didn't quite get why they always stuck her up front, it almost made more sense to have her second due to her reach, and it made her paranoid that Innis was trying to get her killed. Still she knew she could handle the blows better than most of the others, or at least she used to, and figured the effects of the disease had to be worse on most of the others so she did not complain.

Forgot to add this.
When they all parted at the Heidmarch manner and Zev asked if Saersha "pinky promised" the wizard looked at him curiously. Finally she linked her pinky with his and nodded firmly before leaving with Embyr for her home.

Embyr:
Saersha looked on as Embyr began to remove the jewelry and then made a show of stripping off her red dress. The wizardess felt her interest grow as her Pet made a delightful teasing show of dressing herself once she was naked. Saersha felt she was very right in her judgement of the young woman and was delighted she'd manage to enthrall her before so they could save her life.

Once Embyr had put on the maid outfit Saersha looked her over critically. She didn't let the pleasure she felt show on her face at the sight of her maid all dressed up in "appropriate" work attire. Saersha rose when Embyr asked how she looked and began to circle the your woman. One of her hands would occasionally reach out to brush along the woman's body or to grasp her backside or breast during her examination. Satisfied Saersha stood before Embyr and said softly, "Perfect my pet."

Jessica was getting aggravated at what she saw as Delendir not listening to what she said and it was the timely intervention of Vivi that calmed him. Jessica took a deep breath and to calm herself and then said, "I agree that we need to fight, I think we should focus on the wall the army is coming at while watching the others. I also think we should get the children and some people to care for them into the tunnels under the Glassworks for their safety. I have one spell still that I can prepare and I can use it to create a 'wall of stone' to plug up the entrance to the catacombs we found and keep anything dangerous from getting out for now." She paused a moment and then continued, "I also think getting at least a few boats down there to be out of sight should the worst happen would be a good idea. I will arrange these things myself if I need to."

Jessica looked at Delendir and then said gently, "We will fight for the town, this is my home now, not Magnimar, and I won't see Sandpoint destroyed if I can help it." She looked at Krysta and Delendior and asked, "Is there anyway you can burrow and create weak points underground so the giants might fall into them or have to go around them?"

Falina was caught off guard by Dom calling her "Sister" and had a flash of remembered glimpses of her past, of the deal she'd once made, and what she had to do for it. She laughed and said questioningly, "Do you know what I did to the last being that called me Sister?" Falina's smile was more than a little disturbing as she said, "I ate her in a couple of different ways as she lay writhing beneath me in the night." There was a glimpse of her former darkness in her eyes, the corruption of the abyss, that made her what she was, even if those present didn't know of it.

Falina looked deeply into Dom's eyes as she smiled naughtily, "So Dom, would you care to join me in my room tonight?" Her story and expression combined to paint a very...disturbing idea of what she meant.

As Wallace told them of his curse Mylyna considered it for a moment and brightened as she said, "Oh that's easy, just don't bleed and you're fine!" Jessica slept as soundly as she could that night with the fears of what was to come swirling through her head. It wasn't easy but the presence of both Hope and Krysta helped ease her mind, particularly the dragon's "singing" to little hope. When morning arrived Jessica awoke and went through her routine, feeding Hope, performing her prayers as she composed s short hymn that she sang for Krysta, and donning her gear. She had just finished when the meeting was called and Jessica gathered up Hope and went with Krysta in her armor to the bar downstairs to hear what was to be said as she tried to eat some breakfast.

Jessica listened to all that was said and shook her head at the suggestion of evacuation, "With the time we have left we can't evacuate. We'd need at least a day to get anyone to safety and we can't be sure they don't have scouts out around the town already to prevent escape. No it's safer to huddle up here." She considered a fall back position and said, "I don't think the Temple is a good place, it is at the northern edge of the town inside the walls and that's where the giant's are coming from, better to go the southern part of town as far from the main force as possible as a final defense plus there is the harbor nearby that we might use to get some people away from and a single bridge that, if we could hold it, could be used as well."

Momijii was quite relieved when they managed to take the strange flying monstrosity down without losing anyone. Even better she managed to avoid falling into the water when she tried to leap on it. With things calming down for now and the captain saying they needed to get on board so they could continue their journey Momijii nodded and turned from the water towards the ship.

When they began to discuss the dream journeys they'd been making and the topic of "complications" came up, Momijii looked to Zarine a moment as the woman questioned what happened and said simply, "You don't want to know Zarine, be happy you don't remember." Looking back to the group she continued, "It seems that following the one through to completion would be best before we move onto the next. As for the complication I don't think that it will return...I hope."

Falina entered the room next before stepping to one side of the door. She felt a strange aura in the room, one that encouraged people to speak the truth, and while she didn't think it affected her she was careful about her wording as she spoke and nodded as she said, "That may well be what the agreement was but it's possible the higher ups could amend said agreement if they felt it was necessary." She gave the being a stern look as she said, "It's probably best not to risk angering them over something so trivial, I mean there are other prisoners here aren't there?"

Jessica nodded and said, "Of course Delendir, I will protect my new home as best I can." Deciding she'd had enough of his drunkeness she said a few words and held out her hand to touch him as she said, "Here, this should help make you more believable." The two men they were meeting with winced, they knew what was coming, as she touched Delendir's arm. As her goddesses power flooded into Delendir he could feel the effects of his drunkeness accelerate until he was stone cold sober, and was now in the migraine stage. Jessica smiled sweetly and said, louder than necessary, "There, how is that Delendir? Feeling better now?"

Cassandra wasn't ha[[y about the way this fight started. She figured there was little chance they could talk their way past the giantess but seeing how wretched she seemed it hurt Cass to be the aggressor. Even worse was Innis barking orders like they were her minions or property. In any other situation she would have considered long and hard about who the real villain was here but with all that had happened that wasn't an option. Cass was a protector, not an attacker, and she badly wanted to return to that but now was not the time.

Sighing in frustration she readied her glaive and moved out and to the left so she could work on getting behind the giant if needed and was in position to threaten her already.

Jessica gave Sunday and Yavenee a hug, much to Krysta's impatience, and said, "Come on, let me show you to where my daughter and I live." Jessica led the way to a nearby carriage and said, "Come one, it's just outside town. You can tell me what's going on and what brought you back on the way." Krysta rumbled in displeasure but shifted form and got into the carriage.

Taking some liberties here so we don't bog things down any.

During the ride to Jessica's home she listened intently as they told her all that had happened. She was relieved to know that both Elisai and Grace had gone their separate ways during their journeys. The fact that Elisai left under such bad circumstances was saddening though. As the story went on and they got closer to their destination Jessica heard the ending and why they returned. Her face became fearful at the thought of what was to come and she was quite worked up when they reached the manor.

"There isn't time to lose then, I have much to do and not much time to do it in." Jessica took a deep breath and got out of the carriage right in front of a good sized manor. Those that were familiar with Sandpoint would likely recognize it as the Kaijitsu Manor and Jessica said, "Welcome to my home.. I purchased the place from Ameiko, she didn't really want it and with Lonjiko gone it was just wasting her money to keep it up." She sighed sadly as she quickly led the way to the front door, "She sold it for a very nice price and I moved in. I've turned it into an orphanage for the town as well as my home. the town pays me a stipend for operating expenses and I give the children a good home."

Jessica went inside, leading the group and called out, "Sarah, Samuel! I have something I need you both to do."

The twins from Magnimar quickly came out when she called and she looked at Samuel, "I need you to go to the other manors, warn them an attack is by an army of giants is coming and they should either flee or get inside the town walls."

Samuel paled but nodded and took off out the door barely avoiding Krysta with a called out apology, "Sorry Krysta, no time to catch up."

Jessica turned to Sarah, "Start getting the staff together, we need to get the children packed and into the town as fast as we can. I don't know how long we have to get inside the walls so don't dawdle."

Sarah nodded and said, "Right Jess, on it." She took off and she could be heard rounding up the few others who worked at the orphanage to start packing the essentials.

Jessica turned to the group and said, "I'd offer you a place to stay but I don't think that would be safe just now. At least I can take you upstairs to meet Hope while I get her things together." She led those interested up stair to the second floor and down a hall to where her room was. Opening the door she said, "Stay there a moment, let me get her up." Krysta glared a bit but nodded agreement as Jess entered.

Walking across the darkened room Jessica went to a cradle in one corner of the room near her bed and reached inside. She pulled out a swaddled form and said quietly, "I'm sorry Hope, I wanted to let you sleep a bit, sadly there isn't time." The bundle in her arms squirmed a bit and made a cooing sound as she turned and approached her friends, "I want you to meet my and Tal's daughter Hope." She pulled back the corner of the blanket and a tiny face could be seen.

The baby was just waking and was utterly adorable. If one didn't know better they would think she was an elf. Hope's ears were almost as sharply pointed as an elf's, and she had the angular cheekbones of her father. She had fuzz that matched Jessica's black hair and amber eyes. It was obvious Hope couldn't be a full elf, Jess wasn't even half but her mixture of quarter elf with Tal's full elven blood explained the appearance. She smiled down at the bundle and then looked to Krysta as she said, "Meet your Dragon Mother Hope."

The baby looked at Krysta, who had tears in her eyes, and laughed. Krysta looked at Jess and asked, "Can I hold her?"

Jessica nodded and said, "Of course." She directed the dragon in half-elf form how to hold the baby and the dragon was completely smitten. She mumbled about how this was her most precious treasure and it was as if a missing piece clicked into place somewhere. Jessica smiled and said, "Let me get my gear and her things. Come one in while I don." She gestured for everyone to enter as she began putting some things in a bag for Hope and grabbing her gear so she was prepared when the attack came.

Jessica accepted Delendir's hug gladly, wincing slightly at the strength of it, as the drunken man spoke. She smiled and said, "It's good to see you too Delendir," she looked at those gathered and continued, "and the rest of you as well." She turned her gaze to Vivi and said, "I was sorry to see you weren't here when I arrived and I know Ameiko missed you." She slipped from Delendir's grasp and moved over to Vivi to give him a quick kiss on the cheek, "She'll be glad to see you again."

Jessica looked over to where Krysta was practically bouncing in excitement and said, "I know what you want Krysta and I agree, if it weren't nap time I'd have brought her with me."

Krysta seemed to bristle at the waiting as Jessica spoke and then growled out, "Show me my Godchild."

Jess grinned mischievously and said, "Don't you mean Dragonchild Krysta?"

Krysta's expression was perplexed as she said, "Isn't that what I just said? Godchild?!"

Jessica couldn't help but laugh and said, "As you say Krysta." She looked at the other and asked, "Do you want to come with me and meet the child of myself and Tal?" Krysta simply growled at the further delay in meeting her newest treasure.

When Yavenee was ready Krysta had already gotten directions for the trip and had the witch lie down on a thick leather blanket. "I'm afraid I can't take the flight easily like I did with the kids at Turtleback Ferry but I think this will work. I need to roll you up in this, wrap the chains around so I can hold them, and I can carry you this way without tearing your flesh to ribbons." She promptly proceeded to roll Yavenee up in the material and then wrapped a set of chains around in two places. Once her companion was secured Krysta took off and grasped the chains in her claws to distribute the load and took off from the plaza.

The trip was easy enough, if a bit taxing, and when they arrived she felt a wash of relief the attack had not yet begun. Krysta lowered Yavenee gently and then landed as she proceeded to undo the bundled witch much to the shock of the town. Krysta endured no small number of fearful looks and threats from the guards until she got someone to send for Jessica.

When Jessica arrived Krysta gave a sigh of relief and the crowd seemed to calm a bit at the sight of the priestess. She quickly threw her arms around Krysta and said, "It's so good to see you safe Krysta! How did everything go and where is everyone?"

Kyrsta looked very worried as she said, "Not well Jess, there's a lot that happened and most of it bad. Even worse the town needs to prepare as the giants are coming here to siege the town. We let Magnimar know to send help but they may not make it in time. Yavenee will bring the others straight here from Turtleback Ferry." By the time the others had arrived Krysta had finished filling the mayor and guard captain in about what was to come.

Krysta was amused at the young accolyte's words and treatment of her. That she would live on in legend was quite amusing, particularly since she'd outlive everyone writing them, and she smiled slightly, "Legend huh? I kinda like that." The fact that he called her terrifying thrilled her even more and she smiled at the thought.

Krysta rose from where she'd sat and walked over to him, "Terrifying am I?" She pulled him into the room by his lapels and closed the door before trapping him against a wall, "You know how to flatter a girl."

Magnimar:
With Vivi on his way to Sandpoint Krysta and Yavenee took Vlonia's body to the temple of Shelyn. It was obvious that Krysta was concerned as she didn't comment on how some of the art in the entryway was not quite in the right alignment with the rest of the pieces. She was in her half-elven form just now as it made carrying the body easier to carry to the temple.

When she heard what the priestess said about raising Valonia Krysta nodded and said, "I understand and agree. If she doesn't want to return it is best not to try. I'm just glad that damned,"

The priestess snapped at her, "Language Krysta!"

The dragon winced slightly and said, "Sorry, darned giant left her in good enough shape she could talk." She looked around and asked, "Is there somewhere I should lay her down at? It's awkward to carry a person in this form."

Leaving Old Sal's
When Dom interceded and called her Faschiena she knew that he'd followed her and while it made her angry she was also glad he was there. She glared at him and snapped back, "I have to forget about what's happening somehow don't I?!" She argued with Dom as he led her out the door, much to the Dottari's befuddlement.

When they were safely away and Dom said his piece Falina looked at him a moment in consideration and then said grudgingly, "It's annoying that you don't trust me," she paused an instant before continuing, "but it's good that you were there. That could have gotten bad if the buddies he was waiting on showed up." She gave him a stern gaze, "Not that I couldn't have gotten away eventually mind you."

Falina shifted to lean against Dom as they walked and after a time began to speak again, "It's so hard you know? Waking up to find everything gone, to find yourself stripped of your powers." She sighed in annoyance, "Back then I would have been able to turn those Dottari into my puppets, walk into the place where the prisoner is held and get them out without any real effort involved." She giggled wickedly then as she continued, "Granted I would have left them as withered husks to fuel my powers but they would have really enjoyed themselves."

Falina's gaze became distant again and after a sigh she turned to Dom, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed him on the cheek. She reached up, patted the spot her lips touched, and began to walk towards their destination again. As she went she looked back over her shoulder at him with an arched eyebrow and asked, "Well? Coming?"

At the Tooth and Nail
Falina considered what was being discussed and said, "Yes, the uniforms will probably get us in but getting him, and us, out will still be a challenge. I think papers would help if we can find someone who can forge them, or better still intercept actual papers for the prisoner's transfer, but short of that it may well be a fight to get out and that will be bad. I mean, let's face it, what prison was ever designed to truly keep people out?"

Thinking things through a bit Falina finally said, "If we can't get papers to bring a prisoner out, maybe we can take a prisoner in. Say one who would be of use in loosening our target's tongue." Thinking a bit more she continued, "If we could get a good description of a lover or family member that might be viable to force is tongue I could shift into them and maybe that would get us in to where we need to be at least."

Krysta nodded in thanks to Delendir as he gave her the amulet which she promptly wrapped around the head's hair to preserve it. As things with the giant wrapped up and she absorbed all they had learned from the giant and the note her breath left her as fear seized her heart. The fact that Jessica, the twins, and others of her horde were in danger left her angry but the thought of getting them help quickly gave her some means of relaxing enough to think.

Krysta quickly stuffed the head in her pack and said, "Give me what we need for the effort to raise her. If anyone can calm her kitty down and bring do so. I'll fly ahead to Magnimar with Valonia's body and see if the temple can raise her with what we have. The rest of you go on to Sandpoint to help, I'll be along when I can be." She considered intently what else they needed to do and said, "See if Niosa wishes to come with you or to return to the swamp where she lived before. She left Kyonin and made her way across Drum, some how managing to avoid any serious trouble despite her naivete, and found herself arriving in the country of Isger at the town of Breechhill.

Sia had only been in the town for a few days when the trouble was about to begin. She was looking for a way to prove her abilities to the people back home when the call for Heroes went out. She gave the blessing of the Lantern King to Melianse then pulled her feet from the water, dried them, and slid her boots back on. "We;ll return as soon as we can with the new trees Melianse." With that she went to mount her horse and road off with the others towards the dryad's grove.

On the way to the dryad:
As they rode she pulled her horse up beside Colwyn and smiled mischievously as she said, "I was asked to give you Melianse's regards, and to extend an invitation for a private swim with her." Her amusement was evident as she watched for Colwyn's reaction and continued, "She thought you were a bit funny looking but the way you took charge impressed her, especially without resorting to violence."

At the grove:
Seeing the dryad at the pond weeping brought a mixed twinge of anger and sorrow to Zelera's heart. It hurt to see the beautiful creature crying so and angered her that someone would cause this to happen. Thinking it might be wise for only one to approach for now she said, "Why don't you let me go first and wait here until I signal you can come in. Dryad's can be touchy about visitors to their groves and something must be wrong for her to be crying like this."

Without waiting to see if they did as she asked Zelera dismounted and began to approach the center of the grove. She wasn't being stealthy about it, she didn't want to startle the woman, and when she reached a respectful distance she knelt and said, "Lady of the woods, why do you cry so? Is there anyway I can help you?" As before her holy symbol was evident and she waited for the dryad to acknowledge her.
