Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

So this is the initial submission, character sheet to come when I have a chance tomorrow and the name may alter depending on availability. Be warned the background is rather long.

Name: Yandrala Sanderiana
Race: Elf
Class: witch (seducer)
Gender: female
Age: 130
Hair: pink waist length
Eyes: green
Description:
Yandrala is an elven woman of somewhat shorter stature standing only five foot six. She has long, pinkish hair, vivid green eyes, and a figure that is far more filled out than the standard elf hinting at something in her heritage besides that of a pure blooded elf...or maybe she got lucky who knows? She wears clothing of green and white fabric and thigh high white boots that leave most of her thighs exposed where they aren't covered by fabric that comes down in the front and back. She carries a staff and has a raven that is perched on her shoulder or otherwise nearby names Sintella.

Background:

Yandrala was born around one hundred thirty years ago in the forests of Kyonin and lived the early part of her life in her homeland in a small village called Fensralla. She had no siblings, at least none close to her in age, but her parents, Similon and Lythsendra raised her the best they could.

It was evident from birth that Yandrala was special, her strange pinkish hair color alone made her stand out as she was visited by a raven the same day she was born, a raven that would not go away and had some kind of mystical power about it. Yandrala grew up as an odd one, both because of her hair and the constant company of the raven she claimed told her its name was Sintella.

Despite being the odd one in the village Yandrala had a few friends, other children who were outcast like herself. One was a half-elf boy named Sendell who was quite athletic and eventually followed the path of the rangers that helped feed and protect the village. Her other friend was Nartella, the daughter of an elf who was seduced by a green hag leading to the girl being born a changeling who came into the care of her father's family. The three provided all the companionship they each needed.

As the trio grew closer to adult hood and began to notice others Yandrala and Nartella started to grow particularly close, Nartella driven by the lusts of her hag ancestry and Yandrala by the lusts of the patron who sent her Sintella. Eventually they became quite intimate with each other, and eventually Sendell as well. This ultimately led to trouble the trio were unprepared for.

When the trio had reached adulthood, and their relations came to be known, Sendell's family, who were quite well off, became more than upset at his "corruption" by Yandrala and Nartella and he accused them of witchcraft and consorting with demons. Having the status and wealth he did the man convinced other villagers to side with him and the pair were forced to flee their home village for their lives. Sendell, disgusted with his father, lead the pair safely out of Kyonin and into the part of Cheliax that would one day become Andoran.

The trio settled in a small town there and married each other there and they lived together quite happily having three children between them, Nirvan and Kellestha were Sendell and Yandrala's son and daughter respectively, and Katya was Nartella and Sendell's daughter, up until the death of the God of Man and the start of the Age of Lost Omens. When the locals revolted against the now devil dominated Cheliax the fighting even reach their town. In the ensuing conflict Sendell died protecting his two wives and their children and the Chelaxian devil binders stole their children as scrifices to their fiendish patrons. Yandrala and Nartella were set to become concubines fo the Chelish officers when the rebels managed to strike back and drive the Chelaxian's away. unfortunately, their children had already been killed, their souls consigned to Hell and Nartella could not handle their loss and quickly wasted away from a broken heart leaving Yandrala alone and adrift.

Yandrala developed a deep and abiding hatred for Cheliax as she drifted over the next decade selling herself at times to survive. Eventually Sintella managed to pull Yandrala back from the abyss and convinced her to go somewhere else to start a new life. Yandrala eventually ended up in Varisia just in time for the Swallowtail Festival and had no idea just what she was going to get herself into.

Player Questionnaire - Fill out the questionnaire below. It's mostly to help me know where redlines are, where you'd like the story to go, and what you are expecting from me, though I do like getting to know people.

1. What time zone are you in?
Eastern Standard (Indiana time)

2. How long have you been playing TTRPGs?
Since around 2001/02 or so I dabbled started playing more heavily around 2003/4.

3. What's your favorite part about playing TTRPGs?
The chance to play characters that I become invested in.

4. What do you expect from this game?
A long-term commitment to try and complete the campaign (made it to the end of book 4 I believe previously). I may be a bit slow at posting at times, but I do commit for the long haul.

5. What do you expect out of your fellow players?
People that are respectful and are willing to work together.

6. What do you expect out of me?
To run a good game, be willing to adapt when needed for the story, and not to poof without word (happens way to often in my experience but I've played with you before ad know you aren't the kind to do that)

7. (If you don't want this to be public, PM me the answer to this one and just note that you did so.) Beyond the obvious (generally stuff already prohibited by Paizo's forum rules,) what are your redlines? Are there any topics, themes, or imagery that you absolutely do not want to see in the game?

None in particular that I can think of. Rest assured if we come across anything I will say something.

I have my crunch largely done and a good handle on my backstory/etc so I should have it finished today or sometime tomorrow. I am looking at a kinteicist (water/wood to start with, maybe pick up fire down the road but I didn't want to cheese the element choice).

She will be capable of some healing on each PC every 10 minutes so that should help with that aspect of things. Beyond that she will be support/damage.

Oh, I am so in for this.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I would be very interested if it was a pbp but wouldn't likely be able to commit to a weekly session if you are talking through roll d20/discord etc.

While she is a recycled character she's one I've always enjoyed when I get to play her. I think I've scrubbed the references to the previous campaign she was in but if not please let me know.

Name:[/] Elyana
[b]Age:
18
Eye Color: green
Hair Color: red
Skin Color: pale
Class: phytokineticist
Background: Borderlands Pioneer
Ancestry: Human
Description: Eilyne is an attractive young human woman of about eighteen years of age. She has long red hair, a ruddy complexion from lots of time spent under the sun, and carries only dagger for protection. When in town to sell herbs to the local apothecary she is often found wearing a set of explorer’s clothing but stories claim she has been scene in the woods by travelers and mistaken for a dryad since they claim she was wearing leaves for clothing in a most revealing fashion. When she speaks her words are heavily accented with the lilting tongue of the fey.
Personality:Eilyne is a strange woman, from a young age she was fascinated by plants and upon the massacre of her village by bandits of some kind she was taken in by a dryad who heard the wailing toddler and took pity on her. While Eilyne is a human she identifies more strongly with the fey, particularly dryads, and has a strong reverence for nature leaving her at odds with her human heritage. In point of fact she doesn't believe she is human even if, somewhere deep down, she knows that she is and tends to avoid the issue when someone presses her on it. She is friendly and warm, most of the time, so long as people aren’t hurting the plants needlessly. Some have worried that she might be a threat to wood cutters but quite the opposite, she has been known to help them find the old and dying trees, the ones that wouldn’t last much longer, and when they aren’t available simply plants new trees in place of those the village cuts down for it’s needs. When Eilyne becomes agitated or angry the plants around her tend to rustle and shake giving away her state of mind. If one pays enough attention it can be possible to notice other similar occurrences from other emotions and read her current frame of mind from the resulting sounds.
Background: Eilyne was born in a small village in southern Brevoy, a village that was razed by bandits when she was a toddler. She couldn’t remember her parents, or if she had siblings, her only parent was a local dryad, Kissiae, who took her in after the village was destroyed. Eilyne spent most of her childhood Her first language was sylvan and she thought of herself as a dryad like her mother. Her mother raised her well, despite the difference in race, and saw Eilyne as her true daughter. The girl Eilyne grew up playing with some friendly fey and her mother's "pet" earth elemental that Eilyne called 'Rocky'.

It wasn’t until she began to enter adolescence that Eilyne knew the truth of her origins. Kiassiae felt that Eilyne’s progress towards adulthood meant she needed to know and it led to a very strained time between them. To add to their problems Eilyne began to demonstrate the power to control plants and was resistant to learning to control them. In the end Eilyne became so angry at her mother that she lashed out without meaning to and hurt her mother badly. In horror and fear of what she had done Eilyne fled despite Kiassiae’s pleading with her to come back. She ran so far, and so fast, in blind horror, that she couldn’t find her way back again.

Now alone Eilyne learned how to fend for herself. She began to learn how to control her powers to defend herself and eventually found her way to the area around a newly founded town in the Stolen Lands. Along the way she made contact with local druids and learned about the worship of Gozreh and became an adherent of the nature god. She began to appear around Nivatka's Crossing two years ago and proceeded to sell various plants with medicinal properties to the place to make some money. The fact that she was being ripped off never dawned on her, she had no true sense of the worth of the things she brought in, but it likely wouldn’t have bothered her anyway. She began to wear normal clothing at this time and also provided help to woodcutters, helping them find the trees that would be least detrimental to cut down, or planting new trees in place of the old ones when the previous method wasn’t feasible. She had recently finished collecting plants and had returned once more to town to sell them then decided to stay the night in the inn before heading back out again.

Quite interesting, I may well put something together for this.

That is likely my last post until I get back from Gencon so bot me as needed in the interim.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Well, let's see if the dice screw me over like normal or not.

5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 2, 2) = 13 = 12
5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 4, 1) = 13 = 12
5d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6, 5, 5) = 25 = 21
5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 6, 3, 3) = 19 = 18
5d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 1, 5) = 15 = 14
5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6, 3) = 18 = 17

Hmmm, not a bad start at all.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

As I ahve a paid account I couldn't say for sure (also own the first three seasons on blue-ray so it is a moot point for me).

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

As I recall Crunchy Roll has the whole series.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Oh this is very interesting, the posting rate is faster than I can manage (usually every other day) but I would be very interested if you are still recruiting.

Figured I should roll ability scores to get an idea of what I would have to work with.
Stat 1: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 5) = 17 14
Stat 2: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 3) = 17 14
Stat 3: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 3) = 12 11
Stat 4: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 6) = 15 13
Stat 5: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 4) = 15 13
Stat 6: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 5) = 17 14

Hmm, thoroughly average but quite workable. I have a fairly good idea what I can do with it too.

I might well be interested myself as long as you don't mind my slightly slower posting rate than most.

Since this fizzled out on us and not everyone could make it into Dragoncat's game, I thought I'd mention an FFd20 game forming over on RPOL. The rules are very vague at the moment and it would be expected that all players take a turn at DMing (the exact setup of this is tbd right now).

You can find the game advertisement here.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Can't wait to find out who made it, the anticipation is killing me!

*starts bouncing off the walls maniacally*

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

dotting in

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Woot! I am so there!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Good luck all.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Recruitment isn't closing for two more days so you should be fine far as I know.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

5 days and counting, good luck everybody!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Were background skills in use?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I'll jump up from my cockpit fist pumping and have a loudspeaker on my armor blaring the victory fanfare.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Or win a fight so we can do our victory poses and have some music!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Yeah, there are several good ideas I've had, some more or less suited to this campaign, so I may well do a second one.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Hmm, so you are saying multiple submission per player are acceptable? Intriguing....

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Hmm, you are right. I could swear I have heard it used for simply throwing someone off of a high place before.

Of course who's to say they don't throw them out the window to do this?

I do think that the symbology of using this punishment really is very fitting. Well written Dolly.

Death by defenestration, don't hear of that one much.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Unlikely, you'd probably die from a heart attack before you ever got to the ground...depending on the height of course.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

No problem, while I find subjobs interesting it is really not needed. There are already enough abilities to deal with using a single job.

Gestalt is just obscene given the sheer mass of abilities to keep track of so I am glad to be rid of it.

That's fine, I'm willing to stand out for it.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Kinda, except you don't give up anything, you just have a second class and all it's features but only up to one half of your main class level.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Subjobs had two different versions. The original, which I like better, just gives you a second job that progresses at half your main job level.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I was working on a bare bones character sheet just filling in the class abilities and things and boy did they rework the Magitek Armor. I'm still planning to do it but they took alot of options away on what you could build with it. Kind of a shame but certainly makes it easier to work with.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Yepyep, same here.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Bring it on!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Not sure on race yet but I am thinking of a magitech knight. I really want to play with some Magitech armor.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Sounds viable to me.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I am so up for this.

I would lean towards the second option more but maybe working in some areas that are m ore urban as well. Some intrigue would be a very good thing but as long as there is a good variety of encounters I think it can be made to work out somehow.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I am very interested if it is the FFd20 rules. Been wanting to play them since I found out about them.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

The two I ahve the most interest in personally are Jade Regent and War for the Crown. I have characters ready to go for both, just can't get into them or they die out quickly if I do.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Been having a lot of trouble figuring out how to make what I want to do work so I am going to back out of the running on this one I think.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

That's fine with me and what I needed.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Ah, got it. Sorry for re-asking things. I'm at work so I can only do so much back searching as I come up with ideas. Sorry if the following was already asked as well.

How then would adding simple levels of sorcerer go. If I am already considered a 5th levelsorcerer as far as spell casting goes would I then be able to add levels of the actual sorcerer class to that? If so would that count the cumulative caster level together (e.g. if I was considered a 5th level sorcerer already but had no blododline abilities would I now be a 6th level sorcerer with just the spells known/per day or woul that include the bloodline abilities?) If they would not stack it would be adding x levels of sorcerer seperately?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Alright, a question. How would the Sorcerer Template be applied to a creature that already has sorcerer casting levels (assuming a template being added is acceptable)? Would it be in addition to bumping the casting up to it's hit dice? How would that stack if adding further levels of sorcerer?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

OK, this sounds freaking awesome. Consider me dotting.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Well drat, I was hoping.

Oh well, have fun guys!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

While I like the idea I have come up with I think I am likely going to back out of the running on this one. I just don't think I can play a credible evil character.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Cool, I missed it. Thanks!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I am making a lot of progress on mine but did have a question. Will you be using the Background Skill rules? It wasn't stated int he initial post so I assume no but figured it would be worth asking.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Hmm, now what kind of depraved and wicked character to be can I come up with....

EDIT

Is it possible to eventually go through the process of changing into a demon during this? I know the rules for that are detailed out there somewhere, I would have to look them up, but figured I'd ask.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I must admit this is an intriguing campaign. I might just have to apply. When is the deadline? I didn't see it anywhere.
