I have to admit, I listed different seasons as my favorites for my six characters.
Once or twice I tried to aim for my personal favorite as a player (which is either 7 or 3). But through the lens of each character, I have different favorite seasons. For instance, my Cypermage became that because of playing Cyphermage Dilemma. Then, as a Thassilonian lore specialist, she went through the whole Lissala Arc as her "retirement" arc (ending with 12.0xp after Waking Rune). (She did play Eyes after that, though.) So, for her, favorite season was definitely 4.

Me, too!
Season 5 for my riftwarden, because riftwarden.
Season 7 for my ranger with the Aspis Slayer boon.
I can't pick a favorite season. They all have their virtues and vices. Mostly virtues!

Regarding that thing about 6 characters or 7 characters.....
I would say, stick to what the boon says. The boon knows all. The boon is life.
Definitely don't listen to me. I'm the new guy (I can STILL use that as an excuse). John worked hard on that boon. I'm guessing that the wording there is correct.
Also, as a quick answer to a previous question; these aren't trade-able.BUT! I wanted to say....THANKS Y'ALL! For getting on this. We've had a huge turnout for this survey so far and that's because of this community.
If I see you a PaizoCon, I'll give you a high-five.
That also means I cant give it away to someone who needs it more then I do?

But if you want to apply the two halfs of it (or for that matter two of the same half) to different characters, what do you do? I don't think that this would be earning more than one copy, but...

Because it gives two replays. While the second part is nice, I know some people who could really use the extra two replays more then I would need the extra prestige.

OK, I have some questions about the survey.
Average number of sessions played per year with this character?
Do we average total sessions over total number of years of the campaign? Do we exclude years that came before the character was first played? Do we count modules as one session or three sessions?
For example, my character Ramah is a Monk 3/Paladin 2/Champion of Irori 10/Evangelist 2.
His first session was October 28th, 2012. His last session was August 13th, 2016.
2008 — 0 sessions
2009 — 0 sessions
2010 — 0 sessions
2011 — 0 sessions
2012 — 11 sessions (5 of which are GM sessions, 1 is a module)
2013 — 22 sessions (1 of which is a GM session)
2014 — 4 sessions (1 of which is EotT 1, a double length scenario)
2015 — 1 sessions (1 module)
2016 — 3 sessions (3 modules)
2017 — 0 sessions
So are his total number of sessions 6+21+4+1+3=35, or 8+21+5+3+9=46?
Are the average number of sessions per year 35/10 = 3.5, or 35/6 = 5.83, or 46/10 = 4.6, or 46/6 = 7.66

I counted modules as one session, and only did 'active' years of play for the averaging, and I did it on a character-by-character basis.
I probably messed up on my -1, but after that things went pretty smoothly.

I boosted the signal by posting this to Flaxseed. One thing that bummed me about the survey was an inability to tell you what I thought of each season. I love more than just number 8, though 8 is my current favorite.
Still it's a lovely boon, and it will get replays out to some of our folks who don't yet have their first GM Star!
Hmm

I also did average sessions for the particular character, not that it ended up making much of a difference. I was sort of surprised by this question considering they should be able to extract that information from the scenario reporting and it is likely to be more accurate doing it that way.
I filled in the same thing over and over again for the second page. My convention attendance doesn't change nor does my home when I switch characters. I had not thought of customizing the answer on favorite season by character. I don't think it would have made a huge difference though.
If you do this again, please consider having one part of the survey that is only done once (for demographics and convention attendance) and the remainder having the things that are per character.
Hope you get some good feedback from the survey!

I think part of this is to spot-check and see if there's a big discrepancy... and to see the difference between the self-reported data and play frequency. But this is speculation :)

Duplicated data always has discrepancies. That is why you should avoid duplicating it!

Tonya is showing us what happens when 4 Venture Captain PCs are sent into the field with a couple of Seeker PCs for a mission. As a Monquisitor disguised as a Wizard, I absorbed quite a bit of damage. Shenanigans I say!
The boon is nice, and I really like that the Campaign is collecting data, but this is the part of the blog post that made me turn green with envy. I haven't even been able to get a table together for All for Immortality and you all get one run by the OPC? So jealous!

Thank you for the survey & boon. I'll direct my player base to it immediately after creating this post.
The boon is worthwhile. Thank you. I've grown rather jaded at the '+1 to a die roll during surprise rounds when applied on Thursdays in the country of Armpit if you are a member of the Book of the Month faction. Then check the box because this is way too powerful to allow to become permanent.' I'm looking at you, Sun Orchid Scheme. This one was a lovely surprise.
I arbitrarily decided to select character #s divisible by six, thus #6, #12, #18, #24, #30 & #36 without checking to see which characters they were. That seemed as reasonable as any method, for those who have 36 or more characters.
Will Paizo be publishing the results of this survey?
Will there be more surveys forthcoming? Of note, a survey of character races, deities, domains, languages, ranks-in-skills could be quite useful. I'm sure there's other statistics that would be equally beneficial.
Again, thank you for taking the time to survey.

The survey has a problem. There's no shadow lodge. Or Lantern Lodge or Sczarni or...
I mean sure, they're not legal now, but when the character retired...
Or do you only want current characters?
I was going to say the same thing. My most experienced character (retired as a Venture-Captain at level 14) is still Shadow Lodge.
We're trusting everyone to stick to six characters. We're not going to bust you if you messed up and did seven. :D
"Messed up"? I did 7 intentionally, because I couldn't pick just 6 favorites. And even then, I easily could have done another 6-8 before getting down the ones I don't consider favorites.

It seems pretty obvious to me that the boon gets applied to a single character, so both benefits would have to go to that PC.
The boon doesn't let a character replay an adventure that that character
has already been on ("and this does not allow a character to earn credit from the same adventure more than once; you need to use a different PC to replay the adventure.").I'm not entirely sure, but a narrow reading would indicate that you open up 1-2 adventures played by this PC, to be replayed by your other PCs. So if you're renewing two scenarios, they'd need to come from the same character.
That's a pretty narrow reading though, I'm not sure it's meant to be that tight.
