GM Kwinten |

Kieran, why did you feint? You won initiative, so Aslynn is flat-footed to you either way.

GM Kwinten |

Ah derp, I see now. Forgot that it's only when using Deception or Stealth, but he was using Scout, so he had to feint to force flat-footed.

Thanks for running Kwinten!
Having fulfilled my GM duties, I need to step down from this rotation, reducing my PbP somewhat, to accommodate my new circumstances.

The ownership of this campaign can be transferred to me since I will be the next GM, and if it is okay with everyone who will still play/GM the remaining games.

Yay, I can play Haohji again! Are we waiting until October to start the next one?

![]() |

We are just waiting for the chronicles of S04-01 game before we commence for the next game, S03-01. For now, I will post the sign-up sheet for that game: > Sign Up Sheet < for S03-01 Intro: Year of Shattered Sanctuaries.

GM Kwinten |

Sorry about the delay, been a busy week.
Chronicles can be found HERE. They won't stay there forever (usually until I run another PbP game), but they should remain there for a few months at least. Tell me if there's something wrong with the chronicle and I'll fix it.
I did not note down Earn Income, please do that yourself.
Haohji: Personally, I say we continue. Some scenarios might run long, so might as well have an early start.

Okay, will sign up shortly!

GM Rainzax, did we get fame for 1-01?

![]() |

Chronicle looks good. Thank you for running, GM Kwinten.

GM Frost |

So far, I have three PCs signed up so far: Ramona, Merellin, and Haoji. Waiting for Wizel to sign up. Once done, we can start the game with 4 players. While waiting, kindly fill up the Slides (page 2 for tokens and marching order) and Macros (for secret skill checks, among others) below:
> Slides <> Macros <

![]() |

By the way, is anyone trained in Medicine? Last time we only had the Veiled Lady to patch us up, but they're now running the adventure.

![]() |

Haohji has training, but right now only has a +4. He has healer's tools, so I can attempt, but won't always be able to make that check...

GM Frost |

I posted the opening scene for the game. Would you like to add two more players to the game?

![]() |

I don't mind! ^_^

GM Frost |

I think we will proceed with four players for this game. Will just wait for Merellin to post introduction.

I am generally not available on weekends. Will respond on Monday!

@ Horul, here is some text for the Attack trait!
@ GM, I think same-type Persistent Damage overlaps rather than stacks!

GM Frost |

Correct, you will only take the highest damage among the same-type persistent damages you will take.

![]() |

But do I make two Flat checks or one?

![]() |

One.
It doesn’t stack, it overlaps.
Wormcaller, kindly roll the second DC 15 flat check before the damage, if any, can be applied.
1d20 ⇒ 8

Cast [two-actions] somatic, verbal
Range 100 feet; Targets your eidolon
Duration 1 minute
You flood your eidolon with power, creating a temporary evolution in your eidolon's capabilities. Choose one of the following effects:
Your eidolon gains low-light vision and darkvision.
Your eidolon gains scent as an imprecise sense up to 30 feet.
Your eidolon can breathe underwater and gains a swim Speed equal to its land Speed or 30 feet, whichever is less. Alternatively, if your eidolon is normally aquatic, it can breathe air and gains a land Speed equal to its swim Speed or 30 feet, whichever is less. Either way, it gains the amphibious trait.
Your eidolon gains a +20-foot status bonus to its Speed.

GM Frost |

Under Persistent Damage, it says "If you would gain more than one persistent damage condition with the same damage type, the higher amount of damage overrides the lower amount." And I understand it like this, say you take two 1d4 persistent fire damage from different Strikes that hit: you roll the flat check for each damage, and if both are Failure, roll the persistent damages and take the higher damage. Unless I am missing something here? Any thoughts?

![]() |

I usually rule that the die type is what matters. If one persistent damage is 1d4 and one is 1d6, you only take 1d6 damage. You'd also have one flat check to put out that fire. With two times 1d4, I'd say you take one instance of 1d4 damage each turn. You can't be on fire twice.
But I agree it's worded vaguely and defer to GM's judgement.

![]() |

If your call is two flat checks, I will make another.

Coated in darkness, a <redacted> is Concealed in bright light as if it were in dim light, even to creatures that can see clearly in those light levels.
Just checking, that means basically everyone has to make a flat check, right? I have low-light vision, but that wouldn't matter in this case.

![]() |

Sorry, I wasn't clear. As soon as ripped the creature off, the civilian dropped unconscious, indicating that they took the damage immediately. I was just checking, in case I had a chance to save them, myself. But it is moot now, since Ramona got to them! ^_^ Also, when they get healed up, would that stop bleed damage?

Yes, even those with low-light vision and darkvision need to roll flat check vs concealment.

I just put the civilian in the tracker for tracking purposes, not as part of Initiative. And the 2 HP is enough to reduce its current HP to 0 causes it to be unconscious. I hope it was clear?

![]() |

No, I understand that, I was just trying to figure out if I had a chance to help on my next turn. I guess, I technically would have had my turn to do something if the civilian was on my turn, since the damage would have come at the end of that turn.
However, there is the other part of my question: Does the healing that Ramona gave the civilian halt the bleeding? If the healing was enough to bring the civilian back to full hp, it would stand to reason, but by listed rules it does not seem to be so (thank you Rainzax, for the link, though there is leeway for GMs to make a call based on the situation). I just was wondering if they might still be bleeding out.
EDIT: Answered in the Gameplay Thread! ^_^

Oop, Since it is attached to me, do I still need to make the flat check?

That doesn't help. If I am touching it, I don't understand why I would be subject to concealed, especially if it is immobile and attached to me. By RAW, I understand what it means, but in this case I need a GM's call.
