And there was much rejoicing!
Unfortunately, as y'all have almost certainly noticed, I've been struggling to post regularly for the past couple of months. I'm still looking for a job closer to home (and thus giving me more time and energy back) and while I had an interview Friday, I'm almost positive I'm not getting the job because I did so poorly. I haven't heard back from them yet, but they said they'd let me know by early this week.
Thank you for being patient with me. I'm just going to put this on pause for a week or two while I try working up the gumption to get moving again.

Hey all, just wanted to check in.
First, I'm doing alright. The drive is getting more and more routine, even if it is still eating up a lot of my free time.
Second, I have not forgotten about y'all. I'm not ready to hop into the GM's chair again just yet, but I will try getting this game moving again by the end of May.
Third, I apparently did better than I thought I did on the job interview back in April. I have heard back and they're moving forward with the process, so now it's just more of playing the waiting game.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. I still want to finish this part up and get through Masks of the Living God. Please, just bear with me for a little longer.

Hello! I'm still alive!
First of all, my deepest apologies for how long this game has been on hiatus. I do have some good news, though! I'll be starting a new job that is much closer to home on July 14th. As soon as I am used to the routine and have gotten myself into the saddle, I am planning on kicking off the fight that I left off on. Again, I am sorry for my absence, but hopefully that will be over soon!
In the meantime, can I get a post from everyone that's still with us?

I start my new job Monday, July 14th. I'm going to shoot for getting the game rolling again by next Monday, July 21st.

Hmmm... I don't know. I'm sort of tempted to let them come to us. The front-liners can all ready attacks and anyone with ranged capabilities can give'em the pepper. Gotta read up on battling 'troops'.

From what I've read, it's like battling a swarm, except they take full damage from weapon attacks.

So, it looks like we want to spread out a bit. If we have a four pack of heroes and the troop shares our square (which it can) then all four of us would get attacked in that round. I think the trick is spreading out just enough to support each other but being enough apart that the troop can't attack a bunch of us each turn. Based on that, I think I'm going to have Moon move a bit and attack or move a bit then Ready an attack.
