Got an update. Turns out my mom has a gall stone, and they're going to be doing a couple of procedures to remove the stone and her gall bladder. She's in good spirits.

Yeah, I got some rough news too. My aunt, who's been severely disabled since birth (I'm not certain of the entire suite of issues, but cerebral palsy is definitely a major component) just got diagnosed with breast cancer.

My mom, her sister, is the primary person in charge of her care and well-being (especially since their brothers barely help <_<), so she's gonna be taking her to a lot of appointments as they determine the best course of action for her. Thankfully, it looks like it's really early. It won't really impact MY posting, but I can definitely empathize with having a family member in need of surgery.

Had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones. It was a relatively simple procedure and well worth it for the pain I’d been enduring. The only pain a man can have that’s even close to childbirth apparently.

So a little bit of an update. There's been a snag and we don't know what the plan is now. Long story short, an issue we thought had been resolved showed back up, and now they're postponing the procedures until they can resolve it.

Thank you for the support that y'all have given me. I appreciate it. I'll try to get a post up this weekend, but we'll see. I'm probably going to be exhausted.

Wanted to give y'all an update. We're waiting on the hospital to give my mom an MRI to see if the gall stone has passed. Depending on what they see, they'll either go in for the stone, then take out her gall bladder the next day, or just take out her gall bladder if the stone's passed. Either way, we're looking at least Tuesday before she can come home, but more likely Wednesday to Thursday.

I'll try to get the game moving next weekend.

Thanks for the well wishes, and I have some good news. She had the MRI, and it came up good. She'll only need to undergo the one procedure. We're hoping she'll get to come home tomorrow if they can get her in for the procedure today.

Found out my granddad just had an outpatient procedure on his prostate yesterday.
