OK, guys, important question about boundaries.

Based on how certain scenes work out, I'm inclined to put in a brief sentence or two with strong sexual content or implications. My idea is to spoiler the whole scene and put an EXPLICIT tag on the post so anyone uncomfortable with that kind of content can easily avoid it without seeing more than a spoiler header.

My question for you good people is... is that enough? Your feedback is appreciated.

Male Half Orc Druid 5 (HP: 38/38; AC 19, (t11, ff17); F+5,R+2,W+7; init +1/Per +13)

I gave my concerns in Discord. Normally for public forums I advise fade to black or count the Asterisks and let folks guess what word was used.

But that's me

Female Dwarf [Transmuter 4/Unchained Barbarian 1, AC17, T12, FF16 | HP 45/45, F+6 R+3 W+5 | CMB +6, CMD 18 | Init +7, Perc. +8 | Telekinetic Fist 6/6]

I'm generally used to fade to black in my play-by-posts too. *shrug*

Some clarification on the downtime stuff: you don't have a full slew of phases for every day of the two weeks we're spending right? I think I have a vague idea of how I want to spend the time (helping Maidie get her alchemy supplies with Appraise and generating influence via helping Captain Wisslo and the militia).

This is my very first time with the Downtime system, so I'm learning as I go. I want to definitely do a scene where Moon and Meep visit the Ironhames, and maybe Betzolte offers Meep some strength-training too. ;)

Kassen Battle Maps

Oh, heck no! I'm not that crazy. Anything I had in mind for this was supposed to be just for fun and not really affect anything stats wise.

Female Dwarf [Transmuter 4/Unchained Barbarian 1, AC17, T12, FF16 | HP 45/45, F+6 R+3 W+5 | CMB +6, CMD 18 | Init +7, Perc. +8 | Telekinetic Fist 6/6]

So how many checks am I supposed to make exactly?

Kassen Battle Maps

Depends. You can make up to fourteen, one for each day. You make one check for each day you're earning capital. The check depends on the kind of capital you are after.

I'll be honest, I thought it was just the retraining and profession/craft check rules when I linked to it. I didn't realize there was this whole system to it, and it's my first time using it to. I may have to see if there's a guide on it or something.

They kind of 'recommend' that you work a standard week - so 5 days of work (5 checks) and take a weekend. But you can push that as far as you like.

This. Personally, I have zero problems with very explicit depictions of just about anything. I’m a big boy and I know the difference between fiction and reality. But as Grob points out, this is a public forum.

That said, a spoiler with a clear label of explicit content should do the trick.

For the downtime stuff, I just used Take 10. If you can get the modifier for the skill you use to +10, there is little advantage in rolling.

It's been my experience that most games on here fade to black pretty quickly if/when things get explicit. Personally, I have no objections to a little bit of explicit material in a spoiler, but you might want to check the community standards for the forum? I always kind of assumed they were fairly strict about anything sexual (since every game seems to ftb so quickly).

I’m sorry I haven’t gotten a gameplay post up in a few days. Two people from my work died last weekend. I wasn’t especially close with either of them but it’s made for an unusual and busy week. I should be able to post something this afternoon/evening.

Kassen Battle Maps

It's alright. Even if you weren't close, you still have my condolences.

Just my opinion here BUT... I wouldn't mind if the River spoilers became the openly posted storyline. I'm happy to keep spoilering any Moon stuff.

Male Half Orc Druid 5 (HP: 38/38; AC 19, (t11, ff17); F+5,R+2,W+7; init +1/Per +13)

Okay, while I at least have this much settled...

Taking on 10 on all rolls to earn IOUs for building season
Week One
Day One: Knowledge Nature (Roll 20) for 2 Goods
Day Two: Knowledge Nature (Roll 20) for 2 Goods
Day Three: Knowledge Nature (Roll 20) for 2 Goods
Day Four: Knowledge Nature (Roll 20) for 2 Goods
Day Five: Survival (Roll is 20) for 2 Labor
With two days reserved for wooing Moon, shooting the bull with Culver, meditation in the woods, and seeing his cousin meets would be mentors (etc)

Will get to Week 2 after paizo maintenance

Kassen Battle Maps

So that's 100 gp for those Goods and Labor. I'd go ahead and spend the gold now so we don't forget later.

Male Half Orc Druid 5 (HP: 38/38; AC 19, (t11, ff17); F+5,R+2,W+7; init +1/Per +13)

Okay. Week 2 was earning coin by WOodcutting.. which netted 8 gp

Woot! Rolling in it and.. wait, a hundred lost when week one's results are realized? Oh dear. This may not work in the long run ;)

Kassen Battle Maps

Oh yeah, they really didn't think this through, I think. Housing wasn't always as expensive as it is now compared to people's incomes.

Kassen Battle Maps

Yup, the thread Moon linked in the DM on discord is it. I'll post a link to the post once I get it up tomorrow.

Kassen Battle Maps

To everyone, first, I hope you've had a Happy Easter! Second, I apologize, but I won't be posting tonight. It's been one of those weekends where I don't feel like I've been busy, but I haven't hade the time nor energy to post. I'll get one up tomorrow.

Betz and Moon, I'm afraid that the other thing will have to wait until tomorrow as well.

Going to give a chance to Betzolte and Erigga to post before moving on. Either way, I'll go ahead and get us onto the next bit tonight. Ethulfel, we'll flextime seeing your family again.

Female fairy conjurer 5 | HP 40/40 | AC 18/18/14 (22/18/14 w/ mage armor), CMD:13 | Fort: +4, Ref:+6, Will: +8 | Perc: +8 , Init:+10 | (Shift (10 ft) 7/7) | Hero Points: 3 | Flying altitude: 20 ft | Status: Summoned elementals - 5 rounds remaining

Since we have a new spellcaster and a new melee character on board and Ethulfel brought up the matter of consumable purchases, it might be a good idea to have a quick ooc discussion about tactics, roles and shared resources.

As everyone just saw, Maidie's collection of summoning and battlefield control spells has recently been upgraded with a nasty AoE attack (which doubles as battlefield control due to causing difficult terrain). Her summoned creatures stick around longer and pack an extra punch due to her class abilities and Augmented Summoning feat.

As a divine caster, Grobradon has a lot of flexibility, and can also summon creatures. Current spell selection is a mix between self-buffs, battlefield control and a bit of healing.

Betzolte mixes might and magic and is a bit more focused on (self) buffs than Maidie, but can also drop grease for even more battlefield control.

Moon is all about dishing out the damage, especially to her favored enemies (but, really, to just about anyone foolish enough to fight her). If all us spellcasters can help her do her thing, we win.

True to the bardic tradition, Ethulfel is a fountain of knowledge and inspiration. His magic focuses on charm and illusion, which is good because there is little overlap to the other spellcasters. Between him and Grobradon, we'll soon be best friends with every animal and plant in the southern Fangwood.

Finally, Erigga appears to be a tough little tank mainly dedicated to keeping her allies alive. Probably has a couple of offensive tricks tucked away to spring on unsuspecting enemies.

Overall, we seem to be a nicely balanced party with a lot of flexibility in terms of roles, both in and out of combat (just don't ask Maidie to be a frontline fighter).

Our one weakness is healing and dealing with ability damage and similar nasty stuff. So far, a generous potion policy from our benevolent GM has kept us going, but a wand of CLW would probably be a prudent investment sometime soon. So would potions of restoration, neutralize poison etc.

As for consumables, Maidie has already mentioned a few in the Alchemy spoilers (feel free to look, she would discuss this with the rest of you). Between her and Tang, it looks like Kassen can produce pretty much any alchemical item given enough time and gold.

Regarding tactics, we have plenty of options for shaping the battlefield to our liking, limiting the enemies' ability to maneuver and fight. We could potentially summon up a dozen dogs or ponies to sow terror in the goblin hearts, and Maidie has a few go-to summoned allies in mind, capable of combat maneuvers, poison and all sorts of fun stuff.

Looks like we'll want Moon and Erigga up front and personal with the enemy, with Betz and Grob as flexible backups while Maidie and Ethulfel hang back and support from the rear. Oh, and almost forgot Meep - if her behavior so far is any indication, she'll do an equal measure of low-profile sneakiness and fearless, battle-winning heroics.

Thoughts?

Meep, with one more level I believe, will become a nasty, nasty archer... in addition to the rest of her talents. For the moment, she is eyes, ears, lock-picking, Moon's scouting partner, arrow plinking, and our goblin expert.

Yeah, right now, Erigga is mostly a tank. During combat she'll be walking around at AC 26/18/19 CMD 23 and hitting for +7 1d3+4/18-20. Everyone around her gets +2 AC and +2 CMD.

If pressed, she can go full defense for AC 30/22/19 CMD 29 and provide +4 AC and +4 CMD to those around her.

Once she levels up, she could either go for more offensive or into other options of drawing fire from enemies.

Something important to remember is that while Erigga has good Str, she is Dex based, so Enlarge Person is a debuff for her.

Male Half Orc Druid 5 (HP: 38/38; AC 19, (t11, ff17); F+5,R+2,W+7; init +1/Per +13)

A wand of CLW or potion or two would be welcome for the healing but I can replace a few spells with Cures if need be (Sadly unlike a cleric, can't do it on the fly so must prep), just let me know.
