Oh, small, perhaps secret goal of Culver's is to find and learn to wield (when he eventually gains weapon finesse feat) a halfling-sized elven curve blade. Yeah, yeah, he knows they're rare. So? Goals, people. Goals...
I saw this and laughed. Moon uses an Elven Curve Blade... wanna have some 'blade envy'? At the very least, it would draw your attention. Or she could teach you how to wield it (when you have a feat slot available).
Wow, you sure have been busy while I slept. Today is my wife’s 40th birthday, so any posts will likely be on the shorter side.
Welcome, Moon. Good to have you on board, even if it means losing Keth (and Woolf).
Betzolthe and anyone else are welcome to join in at the Henrod household. Grob might want to stop by and talk to Jaden (and perhaps sneak a peek or two at Elly), bringing Culver along.
One practical concern: We’re a big party with a lot of martial types and only one divine caster. We’ll be hurting for healing at some point. Perhaps the town can provide a wand of CLW for shared use or something?

I could multiclass Moon into cleric, if that helps.
Darn nice to offer, but looks like our DM has a plan.
Eventually Casina should be able to lay on hands too, and that will help on top of whatever Salsa has in mind.
And, eventually? Eventually Grobradon will get access to the reincarnate spell! The ultimate cure all!
Someone get all wounded? no need to whine, if they die, they'll be brought back as a kobold or something!
A party member gets a horrible disease? Fear not, their new life as a lizard folk will surely free them of the pox! Or even the sniffles!
Someone loose a limb? Why wait for regenerate? We'll reincarnate whoever into something with four limbs.. .or maybe more depending on the table used!
Grobradon may even have a cure for his mother's blindness coming up, if he thinks about it... death in one's sleep, then reincarnation with a set of new peepers! Just in time for Mother's day!
And the above is why so few GMs allow Chaotic Neutral Druids. *Sigh*
Okay, post is up. I've got a bit of a headache and I'm feeling tired, so apologies if the post is a little lackluster.
So you each should have:
- a winter cloak, +1 to survival checks to resist cold weather, same restrictions as cold weather gear apply.
- 50 feet of rope
- masterwork backpack
- 4 days of trail rations (6 days when you include the rations included with the campsite kits)
- 2 waterkskins
- 3 potions of Cure Light Wounds
And the group collectively has:
- 1 map to the crypt, in 8 pieces
- 2 campsite kits, with winter blankets instead of normal blankets.
And thank you Maidie for going above and beyond with Garth. I appreciate it.
Almost forgot to ask, how do y'all want to handle maps? I was thinking Google Slides, but I can set something up in Roll 20.
Also, if you'd be so kind, if you have an image you'd rather use than the avatar for your alias here on the site for your character, post it here and I'll use it for the map.
Good points were made in the thread. We aren't in a hurry and there will be other chances to Ranger Rick in the wilds I'm sure. So, while it presents no fun survival challenge, I guess I'd vote 'long route' out to the Crypt and maybe the 'short route' back depending on the circumstances.

Grobradon counted the votes, saw which way the wind was blowing, etc. :)
So shortcut we go it looks like.
And thank goodness the roll was decent. Despite Grobradon's words of humility, a part of him would have been mortified if he started to go the wrong way ;)
In case there's any confusion with the post, there's two survival checks to make if you chose to.
1. Survival to find a campsite. This one is mandatory. Better rolls mean better campsites.
2. Survival to find stuff that can supplement your food and supplies. This one is optional. The base DC is 15 to find anything at all, but like with above, the better the roll, the more that you'll find.
