What is these things' reach? I am assuming a ranged attack would provoke anywhere within it. Any way to prevent AoOs in this situation?

Strangely enough, when they upgraded this monster for high tier from it's low-level (small) form, they did not change the reach (even for the huge one). So I am going with 5 feet as written. You're welcome.

@Fung I know the infusion part wouldn't from that clause, I was asking about whether the blast you are modifying itself still would. It is still a SP ability right? I'm leaning toward yes. Sorry, just trying to learn the intricacies of the class.

I can see the point though that it is really modifying an attack action from the way it is written, so maybe not. I hate that they use the word "additional" too. Just seems weird that it's the only infusion that gets rid of the SLA nature of the blast if that's true. But I guess we will roll with that explanation.

Ah, I get where you're coming from. Kinetic Blast are SLA and provokes AoO. However, infusions in themselves are supernatural abilities which typically don't provoke AoO.

What complicates things is that most infusions modify kinetic blast. So if a kineticist uses, say, bowling infusion with his earth blast, while the bowling infusion doesn't provoke AoO, you can't use it without also using kinetic blast, which will provoke. However, if you read the description, kinetic blade (and it's derivatives like kinetic whip) is different because it doesn't actually modify a kinetic blast. Instead, it forms a blade that does the same damage as a kinetic blast. It doesn't actually get rid of the SLA. Instead, the kineticist never activated a kinetic blast in the first place, i.e. no AoO. Hope that helps.

"Some infusions ... entirely transform the kinetic blast’s normal effects", i.e. not all infusions work by altering the kinetic blasts.

And oh yes, this is the reason also why a kineticist can do iterative attacks and hasted attacks with kinetic blade/whip. A kinetic blast is an SLA which is a standard action, i.e. can't make full attack action. But a kinetic blade/whip doesn't activate kinetic blast and is used as part of an attack action, and hence it can.

Separately, using a kinetic blast actually provokes AoO twice - once for activating an SLA and another for making a range attack. I learnt that the hard way early on in Fung's career...

Yes, kineticist is a rather complicated class and even after playing Fung for a number of years, I still have to look up the rules from time to time.

Just making sure everyone is on the same page because the stakes are high and we have about two weeks to finish. The constructs have hardness that is preventing some damage from each strike, worse that that - once you destroy one you have now found out it seems to regenerate anew from the ground a round later (it is essentially the room's "protection").

The invisible creature has its own unique defenses that will make it difficult to kill and it will eventually be pretty lethal with its sonic attack. As someone said you need to reveal it as soon as you can and bring it down.

@Fung Based on this list it doesn't look like a wysp can grasp an item so I don't believe it can help you with your potion.

The scroll of see invisibility could help. Only targets you but at least one person can target it. Barring that, obscuring mist would make everyone nonvisible to everyone. :)

Haste might also help to give us more attacks, i.e. more chances to land a strike despite the miss chance.

It seems to be doing sonic damage so resist energy would help at least 1 person.

Whoever uses it would not get the 50% miss chance for invisibility. I am assuming that whoever can see the creature can give enough off-turn direction for others to at least target the square the creature is in (although some spells/abilities still need you to actually see the target to use).

It is a personal only spell - so only Dana, Arrius and Zeno can cast it on themselves. Only Dana can draw it and cast this turn so others can effectively target the invisible wisp. That is what I will assume unless Dana chimes in soon.

If you don’t have line of sight to the opponent at the start of your turn, you can’t charge that opponent

If you want to change your target to one of the legs , that's cool.
