Looking over the rules and I think we have been doing shooting wrong. You can still use your gun more than once per turn. But take the multi-action penalty. ROF only counts number of shots per action used, not round.
Also, not an issue yet but the difference in Double action and single action. Double action allows the use of the Double tap edge. Single action allows you to use fan the hammer. If you have them, those are the types you need to use them.

so what you are saying, is that with a ROF of 1, I can shoot 1 bullet per action, or is it 1 extra bullet per action before I get into multi action?
Shooting multiple bullets per action requires either double tap or fan the hammer dependent on type of firearm ?
And two gun kid allows double tap or fan the hammer with 2 firearms ?
Although, I am wondering where the extra hands are coming from to slip fire the single actions. :)
Just trying to get this straight in my mind.
EDIT:
Curiosity has me wondering if a Telescopic sight would work right now.

Okay, ROF 1 means that for a single action you can use 1 bullet. So as everything but Gattling weapons as an ROF of 1 that means normally you can only use one Bullet per action.
Meaning you can fire three times per turn with a single weapon, if you use multiaction ( /-2/-4).
Double tap and fan the hammer are edges which override the ROF limits. each has its own rules, and only works in deadlands with a set type of gun.
Double tap you need a double action pistol to use it. But really it does not make two attack, it makes one with extra damage, but uses two Bullets.
Fan the hammer you need a single action pistol to use it. It is a single action, but allows you to roll up to six shoot with that single action.
Two gun Kid itself does not use either of those edges. But you can take them with it. Two gun kid does allow you to take less a penalty with that second action. So in place of 0/-2/-4 you are 0/0/-2 if you are using two weapons. Meaning you shoot one with each gun with zero issue and a 2nd time with one gun with just a -2. Really its an ammo saver too.
You can combine fan the hammer or double tap with two gun kid as they all do different things.
A scope takes away two points of penalty with the aim action

Hey guys I lost my internet sometime between posting on here and trying to post in thread last night. I just got home and it's still down. My wife said they told her it should be up tommorow sometime, they don't get in much hurry as my options are them or dial up.
I don't wanna update on the phone but if it's not up by tomorrow night I will give it a shot.

I live that feeling every day, since I had the spine operated on.
They damaged the sciatica, when the moved it, and now scar tissue rubs against it.
So yes, hip and leg hate me (pins and needles) and the back as well. but at least I can walk upright like a human, and not hunched over like a Neanderthal.

I have not had to have Surgery yet, Mines pinched between the L3/L4. Not a whole lot of options for fixing it that might not make it worse. But like you, the pain is better than being hunched over, gods that suuuuucked. I get the pins and needles, and my leg likes to go to sleep and I get the ultra fun shocks. But eh, bets the other options right?
Rufus Cooperson |
Trust me that it does.
Hope that they don't have to operate, because sometimes it is worse than the current feeling.
When they worked on the inside of the spinal column, the odds that they gave me.
0-20% - no pain and everything works out.
20-70% - everything works out, but you will have pain for the rest of your life. (Got this one.)
70-95%- something goes wrong and you don't feel your legs at the end of the surgery.
95-100% - You don't wake up from the surgery.

Different issue, but didn't want to clog up the gameplay with it.
I just want to confirm, the TN for most tasks is 4.
A raise is if I beat that by 5 ?
Additional raises are in increments of 5 ?
If shooting, does a raise also adds 1 dice of the type for the gun
Example most pistols are d6, a rifle being d8 ?

SWADE p. 87-88 establishes that the base target number is 4, and every extra 4 points is a raise.
P. 94 "Bonus Damage" says that getting a raise gives you a flat +1d6 damage, which can ace (reroll and add on a 6). It also says that you only get the bonus damage once, even if you get multiple raises.

Sorry, got busy Thursday and Friday, My weekends are often not good update times. Tried to make time to update this Monday But crashed hard when I got Home, you can only function on little sleep a few days before payback comes lol. I Just now got home from Tuesday night. My days kinda run together some times.
@ Rufus, that is rough man. The pain sucks, I know how that goes but at it lest you did not get the worse option.
On Raises, Jesse has the right of it. Its every 4 and as Flying Eagle says, sometimes GMs try to give you extra the more raises you get.

I know we spent a lot of time on the zombies, but I will admit that I thought only head shots would work, and with my dice rolls, i never hit once.
In regards to the passed on, I know we lost 4, but how many of the bad guys were downed on the plains ??

One "advancement" can :
-Buy you one new Edge.
-Boost an Attribute up by one die (but only once per Rank for all Attributes).
-Buy you 2 new skills at d4, or boost one or two existing skills up by one die (the rules are complicated on this, see the manual).
-Remove a Minor Hindrance, or possibly reduce a Major to a Minor.
seekerofshadowlight |
As flying Eagle explained, you have a few options. On the skills
You get two "points", to use on new skills or on skills you have. But if a skill is equal too or more than its linked attribute, it takes both "points' to move it up one die.

Re: Healing: Savage Worlds Adventure Edition p. 96.
If someone gave you first aid within one hour of receiving the wound, and scored a success, that treats one Wound. This takes 10 minutes and there's a -1 penalty if the individual doesn't have a first aid kit, doctor's bag, etc.
If your wound wasn't healed in this time, you must rely on natural healing. You get a Vigor roll after five days. On a success (4 or more) you heal one Wound.
