Linzi of the Velvet Voice |
Wow, good AC and tough build. Nice take down Pyros and Ekun and Faerin. Touch attacks are super sweet against a high AC boss like that.
So, Eye spy with my little eye....
She looks around to see what shiny things are about.
cast detect magic.

Faerin Cordova |
"My magic is depleted as well, all but my most powerful spell and basic magic. We could likely secure this cavern as a place to rest and recover for the night, before we carry on." Faerin suggests.
Linzi of the Velvet Voice |
Yes, let's go back to the Kobold area and camp there. We were pretty safe in that section. But, let's get back here soon as we want to thump that purple kobold Mercutio guy.
Linzi works on some of her composition. Writing more of the story for her book. She laughs at a particular section.
Hey Ekun the Entertainer, I'm working on some scathing insults to hurl at our enemies. Are you going to look down at me if I try a "your momma" joke? Or is that fair game? What about you IcyRose or Granola? A Your Momma joke crude but acceptable?
Ready to sleep, rest and adventure on as a 4th level PC - whenever everyone else is.
Faerin Cordova |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
"Sounds a little like low-hanging fruit to me but whatever works." Faerin mutters as they collect anything of notable value from the mite den.
Once her companions are ready, she takes point, once again lighting the crystal in her staff and effortlessly leading them back the way they came to the Kobold safe-zone.
Survival: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32
Linzi of the Velvet Voice |
"Sounds a little like low-hanging fruit
To which Linzi stares down at her petite little body. She opens her arms wide in a Galileon type pose.
Look at me. I can *only* grab at the low hanging fruit! And she laughs and laughs and laughs at how Faerin can make her happy.
Linzi also loves self-deprecating jokes. She can laugh at her own shortcomings very easily.

Ekundayo 'Ekun' Vursi |
"That will be fine by me." Ekun shrugs to Linzi, "Though do we have tie to rest. The one you seek is just beyond those doors. We go to sleep and he will get away" He points his blade in the direction of the purple one.
Faerin Cordova |
"I'm fine to push on if everyone else is." Faerin replies.
If we do push forward disregard the finding the way back to kobold territory until afterward
Faerin Cordova |
"Alright then, let's move on! Harrim's right though, if you need a potion or two to get back in top condition for a fight, you should now. If you don't have, let me know!" Faerin says, moving to the doors.
Faerin Cordova |
"All right, let's go!" Faerin says moving in the direction fo the doors Ekun indicated.
Galahad0430 |
Sorry, got sidetracked by school.
After healing up you go to the rear of the Queen's chamber a huge wall of twisted roots form a door. Touching both "artifacts" to the door causes it to open revealing a tunnel that turns to the right. You can see flickering firelight reflecting off of the tunnel walls, as well as hear a babble of kobold voices coming from somewhere ahead.
Faerin Cordova |
Taking a moment to quickly consume one of her concoctions, and stretching subtly as the effervescent draught sends a feeling of balance and limberness through her body, she touched the crystal at the top of her staff setting it aglow. Once everyone is ready, she advances down the tunnel.

Turning, Tartuccio sees your group and, although he still looks like a kobold, he evidently doesn't think he has to pretend anymore.
"Oh, my impromptu rival. You're late! As always. A little advice: never join any races. Speed is just not for you."
Between you and Tartuccio are about 12 kobolds. You also see three kobolds with bows in the back of the chamber.
Linzi of the Velvet Voice |
Sweet Baby BBQ Sauce! You're a Kobold and you think you can run a race faster than Long Legs here? or The Executioner?
She points to Ekun and then Pyros.
Ohhh... I may need to thank you.. well before you die. I've been looking for a good nick-name for my hack and slash friend here, and I think Long Legs may just be the ticket! Ekun, you like the name Long Legs?
This last part gets repeated 4 more times.
Mirror Image: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
you like the name Long legs?
you like the name Long legs?
you like the name Long legs?
you like the name Long Legs?
As there's now 5 Linzi's of the Velvet Voices. They advance forward each taking out their Longswords.
Kobold Tartuccio |
"Do you mean the performance I put on for the Kobolds? Wasn't that an excellent idea!? The poor folks did everything I wanted, even started a brawl with their beloved neighbor Mites! I did not even have to use any effort to complete my mission. That's why I'll always be a step ahead of you and the like."
Linzi of the Velvet Voice |
In reply to Ekun's question and Tartuccio's taunts.
YES! YES! That's the Pin-widget! Shoot him lots of times and make him a porcu-Pin-Widget!
Linzi likes her little play on words and verbose set of words.
But, when it's repeated four more times by her duplicates she gets a look of frustration as *that* is annoying.
Faerin Cordova |
As Tartuccio rambles on, touting himself as the genius only he can recognize, Faerin quickly downs one of concoctions and begins to cast a spell. Even as her vision sharpens, eyes widening to a raptor-like appearance as small feathers sprout along the sides of her face, she chants in druidic, a swirling ball of mud coalescing amid her curled fingers, which she swiftly hurls unerringly into the purple kobold's eyes.
Mudball (touch)/ Cat's Grace/Aspect of the Falcon: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 26
If the mudball hits, the target is blinded. Each round at the beginning of its turn, a creature blinded by this spell can attempt a Reflex saving throw to shake off the mud, ending the effect. The mudball can also be wiped off by the creature affected by it or by a creature adjacent to the creature affected by it as a standard action.
Drink Concoction of Aspect of the Falcon, cast mudball
"Take him out, now!!"
Galahad0430 |
*sigh* Tartuccio has some of the best dialogue in the whole AP...
As Tratuccio sees you tense for an assault...
"Well, I see you aren't even smart enough to find out what my mission was. That doesn't matter because I wouldn't tell you anyhow, even though I am going to kill you. By the way, you do realize I'm going to kill you?"
Linzi: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Faerin: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Pyros: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Ekun: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Shayn: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Harrim: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
Tartuccio: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Kobolds: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
OK, Faerin, Ekun, and Shayn go first (Faerin, are you just casting the spell, or are you drinking the concoction? Aren't those both Standard actions?). Then Tartuccio and the kobolds go. Then Pyros, Linzi, and Harrim go (I know Linzi is casting Mirror Image)
Faerin Cordova |
You're right! Both are standard. I'll cast the spell. -1 to the attack roll. The blinding is automatic if it hits. On his turn he can either make a DC 16 Reflex save to shake it off, wipe it off as a standard action, or remain blind and do something else. He can make a new save at the beginning of each turn.
Ekundayo 'Ekun' Vursi |
Ekun tries to fire off a pair of arrows at Tartuccio. "Don't say we didn't give you a chance."

Shayn attempts her misfortune hex against Tartuccio.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Ekun's first arrow goes astray, but his second arrow hits.
Tartuccio attempts to shake off his blindness.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
As he shakes his head quickly, he regains his vision.
"Disgusting little trick! See how you like this!"
6d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 1, 6, 2) = 21
Shayn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Harrim: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Everyone else, make a reflex save.
Galahad0430 |
Just need Ekun
Pyros, Harrim, Linzi, and Shayn each take 21 points of fire damage as Tartuccio's Fireball explodes in your midst (Faerin, you take 11 points of fire damage). However, all of the kobolds in front of you are also caught in the blast and wiped out. Tartuccio looks a bit surprised that you are all still standing and then shrugs at the loss of the kobolds.
Harrim immediately uses his last channel.
2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7
All that's left are Tratuccio and three kobold archers behind him. They all shoot at Ekun because he has bow (these happen before Harrim's healing).
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Two of them manage to actually hit him.
Ekun, DC 18 Reflex Save, if you make it take 11 points of fire damage, if not, take 21. Then take 5 from the archers, then heal 7 from Harrim's channel.
Tartuccio is in front of you about 20', 10' behind him are three kobols with shortbows. Pyros and Linzi can go, then Ekun, Faerin, and Shayn.
Linzi of the Velvet Voice |
@Gm, I think the fireball took out all my mirror images. Correct? or Incorrect. I have seen different schools of thoughts (Reddit and forums) and so wanted to leave it to the GM for guidance. I need to know before deciding the next rounds's action. Nice fireball BTW. We got SMASHED by it.
Faerin Cordova |
Yeah, all your images look on fire/noticeably burnt but only targeted attacks can take out an image.
Ekundayo 'Ekun' Vursi |

Linzi moves forward, and bellows out an insult to the Kolbold crowd.
My dear, all of you are ugly. but tomorrow, I shall be sober and you will still be ugly. *
Hoping that catches them on fire. If that didn't work, she goes deeper and more cruel.
Your mother was a Hamster and your father smelled of Elderberries! .

Faerin quickly downs another draught, dropping the clay vial as she races forward, her footsteps more agile than before.
Drink Cocoction Cat's Grace, move 30ft
Galahad0430 |
Tartuccio steps back and casts a spell, you see a faint glimmer of force form in front of him. He then shouts at the archers;
"Shoot the Dwarf, dammit!"
The three kobold archers follow Tartuccio's command.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
All of their tiny arrows either miss Harrim or bounce harmlessly off of his armor.
Shayn again fires a Ray of Frost at Tartuccio
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
This time she misses.
Harrim moves up to Tartuccio and takes a swing.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
He also misses.
Everyone can go!
