Regongar, Harrim, and Akiros are now blind. That means random movement for you guys. The sound of combat allows you a general direction, so your can move into one of the three squares in front of you towards the combat (randomly chosen) and it takes 10' of movement to do so. Regongar, you will be at the edge after that so you can move normally from there.
EDIT: actually, Harrim is at the edge so he could move out.

Well the Gusting Sphere which Reg placed directly in front of himself,
A) should have cleared the Mist out of that square semi-immediatelyB) given that Reg is directly behind it, he would be able to see the Sphere itself at a minimum, and probably anyone entering it
GM Ruling: given that the Sphere was in play prior to the Mist, and that Reg should be able to see it and direct it, said direction can be "move forward 30'" and the sphere would do that literally, not blindly, correct? allowing Reg to follow it hopefully as well
Regongar Stormborn |
Yes, I forgot about the sphere, so the hex in front of you is clear and with that you can see the edge of the mist, so you can move normally, you could move first then direct the sphere wherever you want.
gracias GM, Reg will stay on plan then (is there any kind of vortex or air elemental token we could put on the board?)
Harrim Highhammer |
moving through fog doesn't take extra movement, You can see enough 5ft around you to move. I know generally what was in front of me and where. It does however keep me from doing anything but moving this turn either way...
Harrim moves up and out of the cloud before spotting his target, grumbling as he does so.
Octavia Reborn |
Btw, you know that when you cast Ashen Path you can target multiple people? It just divides the total duration evenly among your targets.
Yes, I cast it on Faerin as well as myself. I didn’t think anyone else would be staying in the cloud and I didn’t want to reduce the duration too much.

Ah, I thought Faerin had cast it herself as well. However, the cool thing about ashen path is that even if you cast it on six people the minimum time is still 10 minutes each.
Faerin Cordova |
Also forgot to take my move action
Faerin advances, keeping pace with Octavia within the protective cover of the fog cloud.
Galahad0430 |
Akiros dashes across the field.
Valerie's target 5' steps back an casts a spell.
Valerie's Will Sv: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
You all see Valerie freeze in place.
The Stag Lord targets Kressle.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Fortunately for her, only one arrow hits.

But the bite misses.
Pyros, you're up!
Pyros Aldori |
Pyros steps over the wolf's corpse and dashes toward the nearest of the Stag Lord's men, striking the man with a powerful overhand blow.
Attack+Charge: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 12 + 2 = 34
Damage (w/Power Attack): 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Crit?
Attack+Charge: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 12 + 2 = 31
Damage (w/Power Attack): 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
I think that may draw an AoO from C1, but that's fine. AC for that is 22; -2 for Charge, +3 from Dodge's bonus vs AoOs from movement.
Galahad0430 |
Pyros cuts down the bandit archer with a crit.
Valerie attempts to break free.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
And succeeds!
Kressle's fighter, taken aback by the appearance of the owlbear, swings in desperation.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
confirm crit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Confirms!
damage: 4d4 + 18 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 1) + 18 = 29
He grievously wounds the owlbear, but it only seems to make it more angry.
It seems that this fight will be a critfest.
Kressle's archers take aim, one at the Stag Lord, the other at the owlbear.
vs Stag Lord: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
vs owlbear: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
The Stag Lord is hit, but the owlbear is missed.
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
You see three more bandits arrive as reinforcements. (C2, R3, & F3)
Regongar and Faerin are up!
Faerin Cordova |
From within the fog cloud, Faerin sends a ball of flame hurtling toward the Staglord, as she moves forward, keeping pace with Octavia.
Produce flame(ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 1 = 19
Fire: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Octavia Reborn |
From within the fog cloud, Octavia conjures an arrow of acid and shoots it at the Stag Lord.
Touch attack (acid arrow) vs flat-footed AC, reduce person: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 = 21
Damage (acid), 1st round: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8
Sneak attack damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
Because of her Frightening Ambush feat, Octavia can make an Intimidate check to demoralize a flat-footed opponent she attacks.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Galahad0430 |
A large bandit approaches carrying a massive club, As he a nears Akiros, Akiros shouts, "Hurry, Auchs, we are under attack!"
Auchs rushes by Akiros and Akiros uses his deception to make an AoA as Auchs passes.

His two handed slash takes Auchs bt surprise and hits hard.
One of Kressle's men steps up and slashes at the owlbear.

But he misses.
Bandit S3, seeing that Akiros has turned traitor, moves over and attacks him.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
He misses as well.
Harrim, you're up.
Harrim Highhammer |
Harrim moves up closer to the swirling melee, but not before muttering a prayer to Groetus.
Patient Groetus, grant this stag lord peace in the knowledge that his end has come, that all will come to ruin. Let him be still.
moved and casting Hold person on the stag lord, since he is already shaken for that sweet -2. DC 17 will. If failed, may make an additional save at the end of every round/turn.
Galahad0430 |
Harrim's Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Lol, I just did it as a lark, I didn't think you would actually get the DC 31 target.
Harrim, as you get to your last square, you realize there is an invisible something in the square next to you (marked with an X).
Stag Lord's Will Sv: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
The Stag Lord is held!
Regongar Stormborn |
Seeing that the SL is held pay Harrim's spell, Reg immediately lets his Gusting Sphere dissipate, and shouts to Pyros:
"Pyros! Do you want me to levitate you up to the ledge? You can take clean shots and I will Magic Missile him until I can't anymore."
Harrim Highhammer |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
He is held in place, now is a good chance to strike if you can, I cannot say for how long the magic will hold! As even magic turns to dust in the end!
Galahad0430 |
Also seeing Akiros's treachery, Bandit F3 steps up and attacks him.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
But he misses as well.
Akiros tries to finish off Auchs before the big man can start dealing damage.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
He only hits once, even with the heavy damage, he fails to knock Auchs out of the fight.
The bandit cleric, surrounded on all sides steps to the side and attempts to cast defensively.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
He fails to concentrate properly and loses the spell (lucky you, Pyros).
The Stag Lord attempts to break free.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Like Valerie, he succeeds.
Kressle moves under the ledge to avoid anymore arrows and attacks the next bandit (R2).
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

claw: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
confirm bite crit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Well, at least it didn't crit.
damage: 1d8 + 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (7) + (4, 6) + 27 = 44
The fighter drops, but he may still be alive because the crit failed.
Pyros, you're up.
Regongar Stormborn |
Pyros is already in range to be levitated as soon as Reg has initiative.
CT = 1 round
Reg will levitate until Pyros can stand on the ledge, knowing Pyros will take care of the horizontal movement he needs.
Galahad0430 |
If you levitate Pyros where he is now, he will hit his head on the ledge. Also, there is no way to get to the Stag Lord from where he is as the ledge does not cross the doorway. So let me know if you are doing something else instead of holding, Pyros.
The invisible guy next to Harrim attacks. He becomes visible, and you see a small dark haired man with a rapier.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
confirm: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
He just misses confirming the crit.
Good thing you only lose 1 AC when flat-footed.
damage: 4d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 1) + 6 = 14
Valerie moves up to finish off the cleric.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
But she misses.
Kressle's two archers shoot again at the same targets.
vs Stag Lord: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
vs owlbear: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
With the same results as before.
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
1d20 ⇒ 18
Bandit R3 hits one of Kressle's guys with an arrow.
Bandit C2 moves up and casts a spell.
1d3 ⇒ 1
Pyors, make a will save vs enchantment/compulsion!
After Pyros makes his saving throw, Regongar and Faerin are up.
Harrim Highhammer |
just for future note, Harrim's AC is 29 (28 FF). I'll try to remember to keep it updated in my posts.
Oh, ye just went an' made a mistake lad, but if you are so eager for groetus's embrace, let me shepherd ye soul to the great end.
As he prepares to counter attack.
Regongar Stormborn |
that was the "knowing Pyros will take care of the horizontal movement he needs" part ...
was only a guess, but from his response, I was figuring Pyros would know to raise his hands while lifted, know to pull himself to the edge, know to step up and over while he was still buoyant, and draw his bow
or the idea wouldn't have been a good idea
Reg preps to levitate, knowing Pyros is set for levitation and ranged combat once he's up top
Pyros Aldori |
Pyros runs past the gates to position himself for Reg’s assist.
I’m on mobile and can’t work Roll20. Can someone move me to the square directly ‘down’ from the Stag Lord? (I’m assuming I could step diagonally into the free space to the right of him. If that won’t work, put me to the right of R2.)

I looked at your character sheet, how is it 29?
Regongar Stormborn |
OK, he needs to move to the spot where you will levitate him, as he did. What you are describing would not be normal movement and would probably make him flatfooted while doing so. Also, all of this is moot until Pyros makes his Will save.
Will save for ... ? I feel like we're talking about another spell.
No disrespect to Pyros, but I'm feeling he is in the "Willing Creature" classification. I do not see any reference to a Will roll and it isn't an opposed action ... since he's willing, right?https://aonprd.com/SpellDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Levitate
Harrim Highhammer |
I have the spell- Ironskin up atm. Also, just to add to the levitate spell- you can freely move horizontally if you have a means to propel yourself. In this case, either pulling via the wall, or jumping across. Or, he could simply run to the side the SL is on, then levitate up to the edge and step over. If he makes the will save.
Faerin Cordova |
Eyes skipping back and forth across the battlefield, Faerin assesses her targets, hoping to take out an enemy to give their side an advantage. after a few moments, she sends another ball of flame streaking out of the fog at the owlbear.
Produce flame(ranged touch: 120ft range)/aiming into melee: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 16
Fire: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Regongar Stormborn |
If I don't hear from Pyros by the end of today, I'm going to have to roll his Will save for him.
He did say that post about being on mobile only. These pages are kinda sucky on mobile, even a good mobile.
Pyros Aldori |
Ok, sorry guys, had a long day at work yesterday and a class reunion today. Also was confused about why I was making a save (thought it was for the levitation that I was a willing participant in). Here it is.
Will: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 2 = 19
Octavia Reborn |
Octavia shoots at the Stag Lord. The acid arrow she shot at him last round continues to burn.
Attack (composite shortbow), Deadly Aim, reduce person: 1d20 + 7 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 - 1 + 2 = 28
Critical confirmation: 1d20 + 7 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 - 1 + 2 = 25
Damage (piercing), Deadly Aim: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage (piercing), Deadly Aim: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage (piercing), Deadly Aim: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage, acid (acid arrow round 2): 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Harrim Highhammer |
Harrim swings his flail at the man that stabbed him.

Divine favor, magic weapon, bull strength, Ironskin, bless
Galahad0430 |
Dovan evades Harrim's attack.
Bandit F3 attempts to hit Akiros.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
But misses.
Akiros desperately tries to bring down Auchs while being surrounded.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
confirm crit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22
Akiros cuts the big man down, to his relief.
Bandit C1 channels in a desperate attempt to delay the inevitable.
2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
He excludes Harrim and Kressle, so Pyros and some of Kressle's guys gets healing as well.
