Yeah, not easy finding info about it in English...

GM Mort |

Saw it. Portuguese cuisine is pretty much like Chinese in that they waste nothing. Chinese also have pig organ soups
And sorry, two days of back to back company functions which I had to help set up the venue off.

GM Mort |

I will be at my BF's brother's wedding this Saturday so expect no response from me till I get back at night.

I just weighed myself on my gym’s Inbody scanner today. I’m done for weight loss. I’m 50.8 kg (112 lbs) now.
Muscle Mass: 22.1 kg
Body Fat Mass: 9.8 kg (actually below recommended levels)
Percentage Body fat: 19.4%
I guess the key to the final bit of the puzzle was serious weight training(yup, not gym classes like body pump, though they definitely helped) and eating more proteins and more food in general. Yes, I walked into the free weights section of the gym, picked up a 40 lb barbell and started doing barbell squats and deadlifts with it. I have a thick skin and not very much sense of shame (enough to get me doing beat saber in the middle of a gawking shopping mall).
Also doing 90 knee pushups with elbows not flaring out was like WTF :P I need to progress to the regular guys push ups, I think I can do them now.
Took me about 5 months to get myself to a shape I’m satisfied with.

Amazing job Mort - I wish I could set myself up for that ;)

Kilarra Dimir |

Very nice, Mort. I bet that's a pretty big milestone for you.
I've been losing a few pounds over the last two months or so. I've dropped a pant size and I figure I'll probably lose a bit more. I'm just out of the house more and walking around more than usual.

GM Mort |

I'm much flatter now. And I definitely don't have that stick skinny look. I'm actually a bit on the muscular side.

GM Mort |

Yeah there are some of my dresses that are too big on me, but here's my pet peeve on my pants - you're saying too loose around the waist and tight along the calves? What the hell, designers!
No, its a real thing. My waist is fairly slim from all that exercise, but my calves and thighs are muscular(and always have been that way). I used to admire people with slim, straight legs, but Ive come to terms that I should just appreciate my body for what it is - being stick skinny doesn't mean they can outrun me on long distances(heh, I outran a skinny guy the last Park run).
My body is for work, not for show. My mom was like... Too muscular girls don't look feminine.
I told her that guys who don't want muscular girls don't deserve to get girls. Stick skinny isn't going to do you any good when you're trying to carry your kids. Then I demonstrated by lifting my dad's toolbox (around 10 kg) one handed. Previously I'd only manage a 5 kg bag of rice with one hand.
Though I'll say I saw some skinny gals at the gym outlift me, but I think they're like wiry muscle.

GM Mort |

Treasure - less donuts and sugary drinks, more chickpeas ;) I'm sure it'll help on weight loss, if you're going that route.
Side effects may involve excessive flatulence =P

Garrosh Saurfang |

Aaaaaaah yes, but it is HARD to beat coffee and doughnuts ;)

GM Mort |

So sorry for the delay - my outlook was crashing a lot and I was told my IT department to move some folders to other places to make it more stable, and moving those folders locked up my outlook for hours. I tried to do other things, but it seemed to make my outlook threaten to crash, so I stopped.

Garrosh Saurfang |

You probably have a gigantic backup file - if it gets corrupted...

GM Mort |

My mailbox was apparently 50 GB in size, I'm doing emergency archiving now so hopefully it doesn't crash that much...
Yeah I know, Im a bad end user.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Hmmmm, you are not supposed to be managing that actually. It should be managed by IT, unless it is company policy each user manages his own mailbox :P

GM Mort |

We manage our own mailboxes and I guess I've been mismanaging mine because I didn't realize that I was mismanaging it.
I will likely do next post after my high intensity interval training because I need to make sure I don't miss out stuff.

Rozalia Tilescu |

I will be on a cruise next week from 4/1-4/6 without Internet access. It will likely take me till the following Monday or Tuesday to get caught up and resume posting.
GM, please bot me as necessary.

GM Mort |

Okie! Thanks for informing me. Have fun on your cruise! I'm guessing it's with family? So enjoy your time off together!

GM Mort |

Did a full chin up and was soooo close to doing a pull up.. Just couldn't get my chin above the bar. Nevermind. I'll strength train a couple weeks more and I should nail it.

Rozalia Tilescu |

Celebrating our fifth anniversary with my wife. :D

Rozalia Tilescu |

Yes, this will be our fourth cruise.

GM Mort |

I'd say don't eat too much because the last time I ate too much before I went on the boat...I got seasick :(
But now my colleague claims that there are motion sickness pills that you can take before and not get seasick. But I don't like taking medication unnecessarily so I rather just not eat so much when I go on a boat.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Enjoy the trip Rozalia!

Piotr Tataru |

!!! excellent!

Sorry busy at work. Finished the letters of demand, I think, but we now have a load more of things to upload onto the data room and I need to figure a way to unravel the loan agreement. Both parts of it and it completely. I think I got the parts of it down pat(except for the mortgage-since different jurisdictions have different requirements), but to do it completely I need to gather all the documents that need unravelling and give them a good look over using legalese and the precedents. Then it's a matter(probably) of some slight tweaks.

GM Mort |

Step 1:Make sure it's pointing to the right party and those nitty gritty signing details are correct.
Step 2:Make sure the contract says what both parties intend it to say. Check with other similar types of contracts to vet for anamolies, and talk to your side (their side is their legal issue) to make sure it does. Bear in mind those indemnities, if things go to crap, it's better each side takes care of its own payout. And make sure its stated in the contract they'll fix stuff for free if their stuff breaks. Even better if you withhold part payment so they have incentive(but most vendors won't accept that).
Like the last time on liquidated damages it's usually x% per day for us, but vendor asked to change to x% per week. So I was like wow, they could be late several weeks before we can cancel without paying for work done. Really?
If they're not going on board the Vessel and just doing delivery to office/warehouse, I'm OK to close an eye on the workman's insurance and third party liability insurance since it'll be on their grounds if people are injured. Our warehouses are insured for accidents happening.
Vessel, however, is a totally different ball game since there are lots of ways to screw up.

I had a few courses in law at the University, and I have to say it is not only the matter of how it is written down, but actually it kinda feels like a state of mind - when you get in the groove, things start to make sense, as crazy as that may seem.
Or at least it was like that for me :D

GM Mort |

Will bot Kilarra due to RL getting better of her (I have PM permission to do so). But let me sort out my own RL first =P

Garrosh Saurfang |

No worries Mort - easy does it ;)

Garrosh Saurfang |

On a side note - my profile was not up to date, and is corrected now.
Nothing impressive, just a bump on AC (to 18, and now 17 with Dex penalty).

Kilarra Dimir |

Hello just checking in. RL is pretty awful right now. Still dedicated to the game, just a bit on the backburner.

I had to translate 16th-century legalese texts into modern day Dutch and English.
Oh my goodness, WHY?

I was busy playing with my new toys, AIA vitality.
You see there's a monthly fee of $8, but you can get $5 of grocery vouchers every week at bronze tier. Get to platinium tier and its $10 every week.
All you need to do is clock 250 points per week.
To clock 100 points:
60 minutes at average of 300 calories /hour
60 mins physical activity with 300 kcals burned (at a rate of at least 300kcal/hr)
So that's pretty easy, one body combat session. The only problematic part is having to stick your phone in your pocket cos it's uncomfortable.
You can get 50 points per day for walking 10,000 steps, but since it's not stackable and you can only get 100 points per day, I don't bother.
So yeah I'm using Samsung health App to sync to AIA vitality to get more grocery vouchers, while I'm exercising. The experimentation took a while so I went silent here.
Then there's a go take a physical fitness assessment for 1500 points at Fitness first. Trying to book an appointment slot on the 15th April, I wonder how I'll do. I suppose I make a passable runner(but I s*ck at sprinting) and I Still can't do a pull up =(
I can plank for 2 min straight, but I haven't done sit ups in a while.

Someone paid him to do it? Maybe some rich ol bloke who is studying how legal documents have evolved?

Take a breather as needed - we will be here.
