Yup that's the reason I haven't had salmon in a long time. It's bloody expensive. That being said, isn't Holland on the coast *double checks google*
Okay, I am dumb.
So I thought Holland was a city in the Netherlands. Today I learned that Holland are two provinces on the West coast of the Netherlands (North and South), and people often use Holland/Netherlands interchangeably (even though it's incorrect).
It also looks like Salmon are not wild around the Netherlands, which means they're either being farmed or imported.

GM Mort |

My office is holding a safety poster competition among our staff, of which I am one of the organizers.
The themes are “Save the hand/Finger”, and “Safety First, no Shortcuts”
So these were the submissions:
Vessel 1
Vessel 2
Office
So basically I’ve been busy on printing everything out and pasting everything on the wall for the judges to judge so I haven’t been very active.

Garrosh Saurfang |

'Protect only the fingers you want to keep' - loved that one :D

GM Mort |

Yeah another guy on FAWTL found it gave a rather grim message as well. I personally liked the one about the kid climbing on the toy house when she was supposed to use the stool=P

Rozalia Tilescu |

I don't need anything from the loot list.

Garrosh Saurfang |

It is linked right below my name ;)

Rozalia Tilescu |

Careful, young man. I didn't raise my son to be a thief. :P

Caraid |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

But what if you were trapped in a room filling up with water, mum? Wouldn't you want me to get you out?

Rozalia Tilescu |

You're going to be haunted by a cat. :(

GM Mort |

But what if you were trapped in a room filling up with water, mum? Wouldn't you want me to get you out?
I remember that room. It ruined my spellbook.

Kilarra Dimir |

If no one else wants to use that breastplate, I'll be happy to put it to use. One day Kilarra could end up in fullplate. Does no one want the Mwk rapier? I'll roll greed and use it as a backup weapon if no one wants it. Otherwise I'll take a shortsword.
Have our smart peoples tried a history/nobility check on that symbol? I can try Nobility if no.
I currently have those holy waters on my character sheet. Anyone who wants one is free to take it.

Garrosh Saurfang |

If you take the breastplate, you can give your scalemail to Garrosh. It will put him at a +2 more ac, and you a +1. Then maybe Garrosh can give Caraid his wooden armor, giving him a +2 more with only a -1 acp. Armor swap meet.
Just suggestions of course.
Solid idea with the armor - let's go with that! I have updated the loot sheet accordingly.
Have our smart peoples tried a history/nobility check on that symbol? I can try Nobility if no.
Garrosh only starts getting smarter from next level onward, with Inquisitor skills :P

Garrosh Saurfang |

That means 30mins extra running tomorrow Mort!

Rozalia Tilescu |

Are we able to take 10 on the Climb check now that there is a rope lowered?

![]() |

That means 30mins extra running tomorrow Mort!
It's more then 30 min, we had yu sheng, sharks fin soup, half lobster in lemon sauce, abalone, sea cucumber and lettuce, steamed fish with mushrooms and preserved vegetables, fish paste noodles with prawn, roasted crispy chicken with almond flakes and red bean nian gao and cheng tng. I don't even want to think how many calories that is...
And for some dishes some people didn't want them so I ate their share. Yes, I am a surprisingly large eater for being a small bit(hey I'm only 115 lbs lol!)

Rozalia Tilescu |

I have family in town this weekend, so I might not be able to post much until Monday morning. Please bot me if necessary.

Kilarra Dimir |

I think shark fin soup is illegal here due to fishing for sharks, cutting the fins off, and then tossing the shark back into the ocean.

GM Mort |

No surprise. I generally won't order sharks fin soup, it's overpriced. But it's a company event so it looks bad if I turn it down. Also I'm partial to eating shark(I know a good stir fry with ginger, coriander and light soya sauce), so don't waste the shark, serve it to me as well =)
(Yes, I have eaten shark meat before, why, were you surprised?)
But since fishing boats have limited capacity and the fins have the most value, so in reality, what Treasure said is what happens.

John Gs |

Nope, not surpised to eating shark meat. I don't remember ever being somewhere where it was offered, otherwise I would have tried it.
I do love the diversity of food through out our world. Though I do prefer the idea of full animal usage instead of waste. Is that really better morally, probably not. But I am a meat eater with no plans to convert to veganism.
Oh well, off to bed. Goodnight all

GM Mort |

I don't approve of sport fishing since you're just torturing the poor fish by sticking a hook into its mouth for sport. Which is why I don't go fishing.
If I ever caught an edible fish, it wouldn't go back into the river/lake/sea. It'd end up on the dinner table. I'm also one for full animal usage. I've eaten offal before. Pig stomach soup id quite common, and if you haven't tried stir fried pig heart or stir fried pig kidneys, I recommend you do.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Two melee fighters, two ranged combatants, and two spell casters. Doesn't seem like a bad mix at all, Garrosh. But even if it was, you should play what you want. As always :)
I always want to play several things, but you are probably right, the spread does look nice :D

GM Mort |

Do your loot claiming, liquidation and purchase of items - you can get anything under the sun (we'll say you went travelling around). This is your last chance to buy anything before the AP starts, and the AP is also rather magic mart scarce until Book 4 - so take this chance to get what you need to grab.

Garrosh Saurfang |

We actually have almost nothing (relevant) to sell, since most of the stuff we found is useful - only the things marked as 'Y' and possibly a suit of armor, depending if anyone wants that field plate or not :P
As for current loot, we are keeping everything (or mostly everything) - if no one grabs it, Garrosh will get the Bastard Sword for sentimental reasons (not against selling it to get other stuff though).
Last but not least, did we manage to identify the Fiery Glowing Bead?
Still may manage some purchases (as in some more arrows and maybe some alchemical gear - any ideas are welcome guys!).

GM Mort |

The fiery bead is a type 1 necklace of fireballs with one bead remaining that has sale value of 450 gp, or can be thrown for 3d6, Ref 14 halves.
I edited it because I realized I wasn't clear about how many beads were remaining.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Ooooph! Another nice item! I say we keep it! :D
EDIT: how many throws on the necklace?

Rozalia Tilescu |

Roz doesn't have anything she needs to buy. We should keep the fireball, could be useful at low levels.

Kilarra Dimir |

I'm interested in the field plate. My goal is to put Kilarra in fullplate, then carry something lighter for when skill checks apply.
I'm technically holding onto both holy waters. Offer still stands if someone wants one. I'm not going to be good at throwing them.
K.Nobility for that owl symbol: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Caraid |

I'd love some masterwork studded leather but otherwise I'm good. I have a thing about ACP (in that I avoid it like the plague) so I'm not 100% on the wooden armour but its not vital. I just want to hit level 2 and all the defensive goodness I get then!

Piotr Tataru |

Kilarra could take the field plate. Piotr then grabbing the breastplate. It would give the front liners 20 or plus ac.
Or we try selling as much as possible to get a cure light wounds wand.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Kilarra, I'll assign the Field Plate to you, and keep one of the Holy Waters.
I've received a request for access to the spreadsheet, but for now I am going to keep it 'View Only' - things tend to get out of hand when there are too many people editing the same stuff. Let me know the changes, and I'll put them in.
Piotr, you take the Breastplate? Done!
EDIT: Thought about the wand, but all the items we have are useful + Auryl has some decent healing abilities, and Garrosh SHOULD be able to lend a hand from next level onward. Dunno.
On another note - do you guys see Garrosh more like an Inquisitor, or Warpriest? :D

Piotr Tataru |

If it is okay with everyone. It'll give him a 20ac

Kilarra Dimir |

Honestly I see Garrosh as a fighter who mixes archery and melee. Religion hasn't been a big interest for your character has it?

Auryl Hajal |

Go for it, Piotr.
And Garrosh, do whatever you feel is right and is the most fun. Auryl has five charges of Channel Energy a day and can reroll 1's. I do not have his feat progression planned out, but I can always grab Extra Channel at 3 if we are suffering from a lack of healing. A wand would be nice, but I don't think it is absolutely necessary?

Garrosh Saurfang |

Religion is in Garrosh's background mostly - he has been trying to follow his father's footsteps but hasn't really found his calling yet.

Garrosh Saurfang |

I think Garrosh will buy some extra arrows:
10 durable arrows (10 gold) + 20 normal ones (1 gold) + 1 bandoleer (0.5 gold)
Now... Since most of us don't want to buy much more, we could sell:
Shortsword 5gold
Dagger 1gold
Basic blacksmithing tools 2.5gold
Wooden Armor (From Garrosh)10gold
Lamellar leather armor (From Piotr) 30 gold
This nets us a total of 337.01 gold
- 11.5 gold for Garrosh purchases
- 175 gold for Caraid's MW Studded Leather (the kid deserves it :D)
= 151.50
So we still have 150.51 gold to spend!! Let me know if anyone has any ideas on what to spend it.
Agreed?
