I'm pretty safe. I have only left the house during the last week for walks in the park with the family. I have two little kids so am taking no risks whatsoever.

I'm a School Custodian with over 20% scar tissue in one lung. So I get to work during this doing cleaning basically fighting this thing that could kill me. But I'm cool, I have a hearty immune system from years of playing in filth, eating filth and well conditioning

Yes she will, she seeks to raise it and give it a home to guard and look over her people. Who in turn would offer food and treasure to it.

I'll keep details about the unique beryllium dragon's element type and special abilities a secret until its hatched in gameplay, but I think raising it will be a fun high level campaign arc...
Gestation period is 27 months, so it will be another two years (1439) before they hatch...

We don't have to keep this campaign confined to 1437 just because its named so... If everyone agrees, after you hopefully find and destroy Nero's phylactery, we can fast forward to many years later, if we wanted to.
The Mighty Ones could celebrate their victory over the Antichrist in Lord Perpireen's Fablehavens, and after a few days of Fey revelry, they step back out onto Earth of 1537, and the beryllium dragons are young adults suitable for training as steeds...
Maybe stop the genocidal Conquistadors...

Imagining Fairytale Earth for this campaign and your PCs adventures have inspired other groups of adventurers to breathe life into the setting. A lot is happening simultaneously, and much of it I am resisting the urge to post here as I don't want to bog down your adventures too much with backstory about other people's adventures... but some of it is necessary exposition relevant to your group, as paths cross in unforeseen ways in a living campaign world.

People react differently to these PBP games under our current pandemic times. I've seen some people mostly disappear, as perhaps they feel stressed and getting onto a computer and gaming feels like a chore; perhaps it is hard for some people to have fun while feeling stressed.
Other people are on more!
Our group is pretty quiet...

i have a crazy idea for you to contemplate, MJ.
Have you considered connecting all of your fairy tale earth games to Discord?
You could direct all of your players there. You could have a "global" area where you flesh out all your lore, like these behind the scenes goings on. You could have a global discussion section where the different players could chat. I know you have some live games so those people could get on and meet the PBP players.
Our game could have its own section with its own discussion section and gameplay and each player can have their own channel which serves as their character sheet.
I run a discord PBP game with 17 players so I know it is possible, though in my game there is just a single game going on. They often split into smaller parties to go on adventures.
If you want to see how I have it set up I can invite you to the server as a guest. Or i could start a new server and show you how I would envision you could set it up.

Storm Dragon |

I'll say straight up, if the game moves to Discord I'll be dropping out. It's far too difficult to catch up on backlogs or re-read older content than on a forum, and is far clunkier in other respects besides.
I also wouldn't be able to post while working, as I do not install Discord or other messaging services on my work computer.

Every single player I've gotten to switch from these clunky, slow, often crashed forums to discord has said they would never go back to the forums again. Yet I understand that having discord on a work computer would be hard for some people.
I just wonder if there could be a way for MJ to keep us updated on his world building without putting in 10 posts in a row that interfere with the flow of the game. I love those, but it doesn't help with game momentum.

I figured and I plan on using it as a means to visit and pull creatures later from the fey realm. To help protect the people and remind them of the old ways and its many spirits!

Sounds interesting, GM Mustachioed. Discord has been recommended to me by others as well. I'd like to check it out, so let me know how I can visit your site and see how it works. Thanks!

I wouldn't want to lose you as a player, Storm Dragon. I would like to check out what GM Mustachioed has going out of curiosity, but if it means you would have to drop, I will keep this PBP here on the Paizo message boards.

Another idea about backstory for Fairytale Earth that would avoid bogging down the gameplay here: I could start a separate thread under the Campaign Journals board to serve as a lore and side story repository, and just post links here when I've added something I think some of you might enjoy reading? That way it doesn't clutter gameplay here with a bunch of posts about what's happening elsewhere, but if you are interested, there will be easy to find links in discussion to the campaign journal.

that is a great idea MJ
that will also make it a great spot to send all your players

Sounds cool as.

Hi! Everything is fine with me, other than the change in routine throwing me off. I didn't realize that I hadn't logged in here in a while. Will work on a gameplay post.

Michael Johnson 66 |

Nice job killing the ice devil in two rounds, everyone! Sir Alphonse and his holy scythe Foereaper were born to slay such fiends!
I know I said I was going to put up a campaign journal for exposition and storytelling, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I've resisted posting snippets of what the Company of the Beryllium Dragon are up to for two reasons: one, I promised not to bog down gameplay here with side stories; and two, it hasn't happened yet in your campaign (they are up to the 12th of September, nine days ahead of you).
The stuff about "Bluebeard" and his abominable doings will become relevant (possibly), as he is a French servant of the Antichrist, who might soon come to investigate news spread by shadow demons, imps, quasits, and other swift infernal or abyssal messengers that Nero has been defeated by the Mighty Ones...
So setting up a little exposition about this abhorrent historical villain seemed appropriate.

He's a little cramped, but not quite squeezing lol... If he didn't have atrocious posture anyway, his boar head would brush the stalactites on the ceiling lol...

Michael Johnson 66 |

A Map of a Stygian Isle on Avernus, First Canto of Hell, which I am kind of proud of. Lol!
Could be a nice mini-sandbox for the Mighty Ones after they out-level most of the Fairytale Earth content...

Michael Johnson 66 |

Cool
Thanks! BTW, WTG with evil eye... I can't believe the nalfeshnee's save missed by 1 lol... But that could make the difference between victory and defeat.
That DC 23 Fort save to avoid Str damage on a melee hit is a tall order for your melee buddies... This combat could be, ironically, tougher than some fights you've won vs higher CRs...

CLOUD GIANT CASTLE map I made for my Friday group, The Company of the Beryllium Dragon.
Earl of Kent Olaf Razoraxe planted a magic bean he received as a quest reward from you-know-who (Rumplestiltskin) at Leeds Castle, so now there is a giant beanstalk linking Leeds Castle with this Cloud Giant Castle in the sky seven hundred feet over Kent County...
The Queen of the cloud giants rules with a cruel iron fist, so the Company of the Beryllium Dragon is planning a coup to overthrow the Cloud Kingdom...

Pencil sketch of the Mighty Ones battling Nalfeshnee Gravegobbler
That is the best D&D art I have seen in anges, brings great school afternoons back.
