SOrry been really busy. Had to drop a few RPs on here.
As for the Impish Fairy I like him, as for the dragon we still have a few of those globes of cold and yeah fire resistance is a must.

I understand, and am glad you decided to keep at this RP. We are approaching end game!

Good to see you staying Ihrin, I have to say I love this game.
By all means have a go at Lord P for is impish ways but please be kind to the wee fairy, he is just doing what he has been told to do.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

The Lady of Shadows sounds like a fine villain for me to develop. Thanks for accidentally freeing her, Lord P! Lol
I have no idea where that all came from, I was just jamming his back story and it kind of escalated.
By all means, shape her as you want GM, I feel Lord P should be more racked with guilt. I think he may still be in shock. Now he has lost his link to the fey realms and can't open gates to the bright ways.
Fellow players, I hope you like the way I went with this. He will not be messing with monsters you wish to defeat anymore. And will be a LOT more helpful seeing how his life now depends on your help.
Shall we carry on with what is at hand :)

I do appreciate that Lord P. I dig your character, at the same time it was starting to feel a little us vs. you as you would try to free every evil beast we were trying to kill. It is a fun way to get some character growth for everyone

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

I agree and it was getting too much, I am sorry for that. No one player should take over the gameplay to much and I was. So Lord P has lost all that, and Lord P is now with the Program once more.
Also by pour chance, the GM has another big bad for us to take on later. I don't now if that is a good thing or bad.
:)

"Yes they say she is the oldest and the mother of hags. Tho I know that Baba Yaga says otherwise."
Baba Yaga vs the Lady of Shadows...that sounds like a great backdrop for a campaign!

Might see if I can get Ihrin some Dragon Bane Daggers
Mwikali would love some spell scrolls

The Paris market square on Rue Pernell is the best place in all of Europe to purchase powerful magic items, and Nicolas Flamel has just teleported the party there...

The Ogon Fox |

Phew! It's hard work trying to figure out how to be prepared for the coming battles.
I definitely have the cash to add an additional +1 (or equivalent, such as dragon bane) to my amulet of mighty fists (it's currently a vanilla +2). I might even be able to manage +2 additional instead of +1, though I would need to sell something to do that.
But instead of going for +2 on that, maybe I should do +1 and then grab a monk's robe. In that case, I'd still have gold left to spend, I think, but I'm not sure what else to do. Are there potions I should get? I just don't know will be helpful other than the obvious protection from fire which Johann already made sure we got.
Dragon bane will be super helpful against Wormwood, but after him I suspect we'll be fighting a mix of predominantly undead and evil outsiders (though I could certainly be leaving out other interesting enemy types!), and the dragon bane will cease to be useful. Hm...

Storm Dragon |

I mostly took Dragon Bane for story reasons, not so much immense mechanical value ones. The Original Foereaper was an Adamantine +3 Holy Vorpal Scythe, and that was Alphonse's original goal for restoring it without Michael's direct attention. But as his goal is now to kill Wormwood for good (the f*!$er's died twice already, and just keeps springing back up), Dragon Bane it is.
Monk's Robes are one of the best bangs for your buck a Monk can get, so it's probably a good buy.

Michael Johnson 66 |

saw that the game was still going in the campaigns section at the bottom of the page....thought i'd pop by and say Buongiorno!
Buongiorno! Good to see ya! Yes, the party is 14th level, they have defeated Nero Antichrist (mythic lich) and are seeking out his phylactery to destroy it. About to fight the ancient red dragon Wormwood (for a second and final time, hopefully)!

Michael Johnson 66 |

Playing around with my toys lol... Trying to come up with a cool 3-D battle mat for this fight. The photo I linked is a very rough draft lol...

The Ogon Fox |

Okay, here's the list of items Ogon Fox buys in Paris:
monk's robe (13,000)
belt of incredible dexterity +4 (16,000)
headband of inspired wisdom +4 (16,000)
wasp nest of swarming (1,000)
That leaves him with 186 gp, 6 sp, 3 cp in cash.
Now, here's the other thing--I think ol' Foxy should finally play these pipes of building that he's had since he won the organ performance contest!
We don't know we have 2 hours, but we know it can take as little as 30 minutes to accomplish something with this instrument (maybe you can make do with even less time than that, by just scaling down the effect appropriately).
Now the question, really, is what could we do? Some kind of fortifications to force Wormwood to come at us in a way we want, yeah?
By the time 2 hours pass, that will amount to labor equivalent to 100 men working for 12 days. I do have to pass a DC 18 Perform check for the 2nd hour; so if that fails we would get 6 days rather than 12. For estimating how much work can be done, I found this online:
I'd suggest using the mining rules from the Races of the Dragon 3.5 book (page 98)....Those rules basically say that 2 unskilled man-days mines 1 5-foot cube of rock.
If we can take that as accurate and all we wanted to do was excavate stone, then our 100 men for 6 days = 300 5-foot cubes of rock excavated.

The Ogon Fox |

Also, a side note: Fox will be going all-out, attempting Stunning Fist on every attack that he makes at full-BAB. Because if he can manage to stun Wormwood, then he gets two extra unarmed strikes on him from Medusa's Wrath.
Also, if anyone else can come up with a way to make Wormwood dazed, flat-footed, paralyzed, staggered, stunned, or unconscious, that will also allow Fox to get those two extra unarmed strikes.

Keeping the dragon in reach would be useful for us all. We don't want a series of fly by attacks where we can't do full attack back.
How about you make a new ceiling for his cavern so it is no more than 20 feet tall?

Storm Dragon |

That might be a bit much for the time we have, but we could make it inconvenient. Huge flying creatures with winged flight are typically clumsy; there are rules for how difficult it is to corner when flying around. A few strategically placed spikes and wires or something would get the job done just the same probably.

Totally awesome. If he doesn't have the max 3 hero points, Fox has them now! Lol!

well the AC is at least 36. Pretty high but I expected no less! We need to flank and anything to increase to hit would be great!
Haste maybe? Already got the heroism.

Hey guys, it's the real life Earl of Kent, Olaf Razoraxe stopping by to say "Hi." Figured I'd read some of y'all's recent Gameplay posts and Lurk for a while. ....I haven't been on The Boards like this in quite a long time.
Holy Cow, Sir Alphonse Veritas! Glad to see you're still in Mike's game after all these years. I remember recommending Duke Lionel Antwerp, Duke of Clarence, as a good choice for your background back in character creation, something like you wanted to be adopted into a noble family without being noble by birth, and I figured he, and his wife Elizabeth de Burgh -- who loved having kids around -- would make a cool choice. I don't know if you went with it or not, the timeline would've been tricky since Mike made the game take place quite a few years later than he had originally planned. But in any case, it's cool to see you're still here.
And Johnny Panic! Haven't seen you since we were briefly in that game where we all played 20th Level Gestalt PCs trying to kill all the Gods. I was forced to take over DMing after a while and, in the first combat, an overconfident PC waltzed up to our first target, Nocticula I think, and failed a 'Dominate' Will Save! ...And the game crumbled before the inevitable TPK!
....Anyway, carry on, just wanted to announce my presence -- that the REAL Olaf Razoraxe is Lurking.

Sup! I haven't actually been back that long in the grand scheme myself; I had to drop out of the original game for various reasons, and happened to stumble across this sequel a while back.
I saw you were kicking around again; looks like you put in a character for the re-Recruitment of the Savage Tide game I'm in. Hope you get the slot!

![]() |

Holy Crap -- you're in that Savage Tide game! .... Mike can tell you, I've been bugging him to run Savage Tide for the entirety of the decade I've known him. He loves Greyhawk even more than I and is a megafan of The Isle of Dread (and all things Demogorgan).
.
I also see here that our old "Lusty Fools' get mentioned from time to time; "Hi" from one of the OG Lusty Fools, Iommi Tyr Magnusson.

All combatants in melee with Wormwood are now flanking with a partner or two.
Only Lord Perpireen and Mwikali are not flanking, as they are not in melee reach, and Lord Perpireen is directly above Wormwood, while Mwikali is about 20 feet away from the dragon, near the obelisk with the golden lock.

In a couple months, my Friday night table top group, the Company of the Beryllium Dragon, will be 20th level, mythic tier 10, and ready for a grand finale: vs Hastur, The King in Yellow, in Dim Carcosa, a necropolis on Demhe, in the Aldebaran system.
I am already preparing my next table top campaign, going way back in time to the end of the Trojan War, circa 1184 BC.
The PCs are Achaians (Greeks) trying to sail home from Troy in a triaconter (early sea vessel with 30 oars and one square sail). While Odysseus, king of Ithica, is on his Odyssey, the PCs have an odyssey of their own, exploring rocky, cave-riddled, monster-infested isles in Oceanos (The Mediterranean), as the mysterious Sea People (a chaotic evil confederation of Dagon-worshipping pirates and sahuagin) are raiding and sacking the coastal cities.
What do y'all think of this as a prequel campaign for my Fairytale Earth setting?

As one of the players in Mike’s Friday game I can tell you that I’m looking forward to playing in the new game but am just starting to get a wee bit nervous that Mike is neglecting the finishing of our current game.
Don’t forget about us in beautiful downtown Carcosa, where the streets are paved in peace and harmony, and the people are friendly and generous. I can’t wait until we’re strong enough to fight HASTUR!
