Hmm, Sorting out the character (more rebuilding really), are you allowed two Campaign traits (looking at Foster Child: Koya; and either Hero Worship or childhood crush on Ameiko).

Void Dragon, your link doesn't work; just a heads up.

Thank you Cydrius. This my alias. (void dragon)

As long as you roleplay it as such, I have no problem.

Glad I could help.

GM, I'm about to PM you a question. (In case you missed it in my application post.)

Yes, at least one of them has to come from the Player's Guide. you can choose both of them from there if you wish. But please choose one or the other for your relationship score, we wouldn't want anyone "playing the field" as it were.

Here's the one missing part of my application; the equipment.

Pacchu's Equipment:

Worn/Readied
  • Caltrops
  • Longbow
  • Quiver with 14 common arrows, 5 blunt arrows, 1 whistling arrow
  • Waterskin

In mwk backpack

  • Arrows, common (6)
  • Arrows, blunt (15)
  • Arrows, whistling (9)
  • Blanket
  • Hammer
  • Piton
  • Sacks (2)
  • Tent, hanging
  • Torches(2)
  • Trail rations, 1 day

In waterproof bag (tied to backpack)

  • Mission Dye Kit (This dye, created by vanaras of the Golden Mission, is intended to be very hard to wash off once it sets in; it is used by youth on their coming of age journey to record their experiences in their mane. It is intended to be mixed with herbal pigments from flowers to produce various colors. The kit includes enough dye base for an entire mane's worth, plus a small mortal and pestle.) *GM note: I couldn't find any kind of hair dye in the equipment lists, so I improvised this, assuming that 12gp and 1.5 pound of weight might cover the need as far as is relevant. I am more than willing to talk this one out.*
  • Grooming kit

In belt pouch

  • 13 gp, 6sp, 7cp

Total Weight Carried: 48,6 lbs, light load (<50 lbs)

Submitting Tanestatia. I've applied for a Jade Regent with her before, but was not selected. Hopefully that will change with this one.

Here we go, alias created. (Cydrius here)

Tanestatia: We have such similar builds, haha.

Well, hopefully one of us makes it in. I don't expect that both of us will. Good luck to you.

All the same to you.

@Cydrius I applied for that game as well. Hopefully we'll get the chance to play side by side in this game.

Ah, yes, No-Name the rogue. I remember you. (I had a really tough time choosing between your rogue and the other rogue standout, you have no idea.)

Good luck!

You too, and on a side note I am glad No-Name is still remembered, even though he can't be called no-name anymore; but that is another story for another time.

Okay. Another question: Would you allow me to use a rank in Linguistics to gain Sign Language as one of my languages or gain Sign Language as a bonus language?

That'd be great for roleplay value. Enemies having to make Linguistics/INT checks to determine meanings between party members, especially if the other party members picked it up!

In the interests of full disclosure, this will be -- if I'm selected -- the first time I have ever played Pathfinder, though not my first time roleplaying. I've read several of the books and I'm eager to play. If I have done this character sheet incorrectly, please let me know.

Himiko Kaijitsu

Background

Show:
Conceived in an attempt to strengthen a troubled marriage, Himiko is the third child born to Atsuii Kaijitsu. Her father -- Lonjiku -- taught Himiko that duty and loyalty to family are the greatest of virtues. A quiet and reserved child, Himiko quickly absorbed these lessons. From an early age, she expected to care for her parents in their dotage and to assist with her older siblings with the glasswork when they came into their inheritance.

Fate and her family had other plans.

Atsuii wanted more for her daughter than a life of quiet service. She recognized her youngest daughter's quick wit and intelligence and convinced her husband to send their daughter be trained at Acadamae in Korvosa under the guidance of a family friend who was an instructor there. Two years into her study, Himiko's mother died under mysterious circumstances. When she returned to Sandpoint for the funeral, she was greatly distressed by her half-brother's accusations against her father. Even more disturbing, her father did seem different. Instead of the stern, but doting, father Himiko remembered, Lonjiku was full of barely controlled anger. He could hardly bear to look at his youngest daughter.

Himiko was secretly relieved when her father sent her back to school immediately after the funeral. At Acadamae, she excelled. Himiko is naturally gifted in magic related to movement and summoning. These years spent studying Korvosa were happy ones. She tried to move past her mother's "accident," secure in the knowledge that her mother would be pleased by Himiko's pursuit of her dreams.

Her world was shattered when she received the news of her father's death at Tsuto's hands and the terrible revelations concerning her mother's murder that emerged following his subsequent demise. Ameiko encouraged her sister to continue her studies, but as the years passed and she grew to adulthood, Himiko has begun to feel guilty for not being there for her older sister. Putting her studies on hold, Himiko returned home to Sandpoint to be with Ameiko. Family is everything to Himiko, and she only has one sister left.

Some of the patrons of the Rusty Dragon have started to call her Ameiko's Shadow because Himiko never seems to be far from her sister's side.

With the majority of her family dead, Himiko's return to Sandpoint has been a lonely experience. Besides for Ameiko, Himiko only other companion is her raven familar, Jahar. Jahar has a lot to say, but, unfortunately, little of it is particularly insightful. Some of the patrons of the Rusty Dragon have started to call her Ameiko's Shadow because Himiko never seems to be far from her sister's side. But Himiko is eager to make friends of her own.

Appearance

Show:

Age: 20
Size: Medium, 5' 0", 120 lbs.
Type: Humanoid (Human, Female)

Himiko is a short, thin Tian woman, who, when compared to her beautiful older sister, can be considered plain. She wears her long black hair in a mass of braids and her violet eyes are usually downcast. She favors embroidered silk robes in creams and rich blues.

Geez, the anticipation is a bit much for me. I'm really eager to get started!

Character sheet updated. think it's all correct.

Notes: Half-Elf Bard, planning on picking up a little bit of everything.
Sylvan is a placeholder language, will change depending on party makeup.
Happy to make some minor changes to skillset to better fit gaps in the party.

Skill points don't seem to stretch very far though, hopefully between Versatile Performance and knowing I only want a little bit of certain skills she'll look more like the concept by 2nd level...

Updated my equipment.

And I feel compelled to mentioned I also chose Sandru as the character link.

Okay I've made a change to the 1st level feats; switched out Scorpion Style for Dodge. Updated the crunch to reflect said change, if I make any future changes I'll be sure to keep you informed.

Only real change I made to my character was to swap out Bluff for Diplomacy.

Now, all that's left is to count the days to the final casting call and try not to go nuts from the wait.

You said it. The wait is making this monkey completely bananas.

Saturday is soo long off :)

I'll give this one a shot on this character.

16 years ago a fiend named Malith terrorized the farms surrounding Sandpoint. Cattle were mutilated and ritually sacrificed, wolves roamed in organized packs and rumors of lycathropy abounded. A group of adventurers finally ended Malith's manace and destroyed the werewolves under her control. In her lair was found a human infant, evidently intended for some dark ritual sacrifice. Koya, who was a part of the adventuring party declared the infant lychanthropy free and adopted him as her foster child and named him Shard since they discovered him amongst the shattered remains of a large mirror. The boy soon developed a reputation for not being quite right. He was amazingly strong for his size and his hair was a golden blond, his eyes had a golden hue and even his skin was olive gold. Otherwise he was a remarkably gregarious boy, worshiping his 'older brother' Sandru and getting along rather well with everyone else. As he became a teen however he began to become plagued by terrible nightmares. During one such dream he woke in horror to discover that his hands had become claws. The claws quickly went away and investigation by Koya led her to declare that Shard was a sorcerer of either the Abyssal or Draconic type. Shard threw himself into researching both possibilities, learning draconic and reading every book of planar knowledge he could find. He still is not sure, but it is a common rumor that he is actually Malith's son. This has strained his relationship with his family, he has had several fights with Koya and this has made Sandru mad at him. He no longer lives with Koya, instead he can stay free of charge at the Rusty Dragon Inn as long as he provides 'Special Effects' for Ameiko's performances. He has a crush of Ameiko but has been told in no uncertain terms that he is 'just a friend.'
Relationships:

Ameiko 6 friendship, he'd like it to be more
Koya 2 associate, it used to be much higher but they are fighting
Sandru 2 associate, Sandru is furious at Shard for fighting with Koya
Shalelli 2 associate, Shalelli was probably part of the group that defeated Malith. She knows of Shard and the rumors surrounding him.

Derp, I slipped, was going to put that one in the "Trickster" category. Thanks for the heads-up.

Also, Sirsi's a Bard, not a Rogue.

... How'd I fumble that one. o.o

How important would having a mount be in this campaign?

I would assume that someone who doesn't have a mount will be able to simply ride in the caravan, or somesuch.

Here is my submission.

I've assumed that if you can't ride you'll either walk alongside or ride in the wagons.

I've got no experience with the AP though, so take my word with a pinch of salt.

Also I'm not sure how much Trickster applies, Sirsi wouldn't know what to do with a lock, unless she can convince someone else to do something about it... (maybe that's more trickstery than picking the lock?)

Only one divine caster in the entire submission list? (Bards' can cure though!)

The trickster category is intended for skill-heavy characters and such. Just a name really, wasn't too sure how to call the category. :P

Pacchu wrote:

If you ask me, Trickster sounds better than Skill Monkey.

Pacchu glares at Avan.

"Do you have an issue with monkeys?"

Avan looks to Pacchu with interest in his eyes, but an otherwise neutral look on his face.

"What are monkeys? And why do people mention them when they talk of skill?"

... "what are monkeys?"

Okay, I can't top that in character, haha.

If you don't count the few historical texts and books that he's read, poor Avan knows very little of the world.

Speaking of in character, this little conversation would be interesting to reenact in game, if both Avan and Pacchu make it in.

Perhaps, yes. Pacchu knows little of the world outside his native land as well.

Decided to flesh my character's personality out on her profile. It ought to help me stay in character if I write it all down.

Grand Lodge

I've applied to several Jade Regent games, and this the first time Shalelu has outdone Ameiko! Most people seem to want to be with the owner of that fine inn, or they associate with Sandru. But man, everyone is gunning for Shalelu!

And Koya never gets love...

Well, she DOES kinda look like an elven Samus to me... maybe that has something to do with it.

Dragoncat wrote:

I will never look at her the same way ever again!

Do you think a regular samurai, or a sword saint would fit the AP better?

Grand Lodge

Regular samurai. Reason: Sword Saints hail from lands where samurai are prevalent, and sadly thats not so in Varisia...
