Appearance: Nami is small for a human of his age, having a wiry, slim build that gives him the appearance of strength and agility. His head is shaved and a stained linen sweatband settles atop his ears, encircling his head. The eyes are the green of spring grass and his skin is of a bronze tone telling of long days outside. He wears a set of loose black robes with another set of white robes underneath. On his back is an odd conical hat made of straw, secured to his neck by a strap of silk.

backstory:
Nami lived in the ghettos of a Kenabres, and knows nothing of his parents.Nami scavenged for his food, stealing and bullying where he had to, his fists became hard, he learned to use his size to his advantage against larger foes, and he became fearless.
After years of living on the cusp of death, Nami came upon an old man set upon by a gang of street thugs demanding the man's large heavy purse. The old man refused and things quickly turned ugly. Nami rushed to help, but the fight was over before it began, the thugs limping away with bruises and embarrassment. Once the gang had fled, the old man continued on his way, but had to stop to look down at Nami kneeling in his path.
"Why do you kneel, child?" The old man asked.
"I wish to learn your ways, master. To be strong and fierce," Nami said.
"Then answer me this, of all types of victory, what is best?" The master asked.
Nami puzzled over this for many minutes and the master continued on his way down the city streets. Nami followed, watching the cobblestones pass beneath his feet as he pondered the question.
Seeing that the young man was intent upon the question, the master turned to him and said, "When you come to an answer, seek me in the temple on the hill."
Nami did not sleep that night, nor the next, nor any night that week. The question burned in him. Finally, exhausted, he fell into his mat of straw and dreamed. He awoke with his answer and ran to the temple gates.
The master practiced in the training yard and saw the approaching young halfling.
"Do you have an answer for me, child?"
"I do, the best victory is one without fighting, to overcome your enemy with understanding," Nami said.
"This is the answer I sought. Welcome to the Temple of the Dynamic Sphere, come inside and learn to be a man." The monk opened the gate and invited him inside.
Nami asked "If that is what you teach, then why train to fight?"
"We train to harmonize with the universe, to understand and overcome, push is met with pull. I am Master Okara, come, train, and you will understand."
Nami strode through the gates, eager to learn.
Nami trained with Okara for long years learning many things.
Quotes and Philosphy:
The Art of Peace is based on four Great Virtues: Bravery, Wisdom, Love, and Friendship, symbolized by Fire, Heaven, Earth, and Water.
The Art of Peace does not rely on weapons or brute force to succeed; instead we put ourselves in tune with the universe, maintain peace in our own realms, nurture life, and prevent death and destruction.
The Way of a Warrior is based on humanity, love, and sincerity; the heart of martial valor is true bravery, wisdom, love, and friendship. Emphasis on the physical aspects of warriorship is futile, for the power of the body is always limited.
Those who are enlightened never stop forging themselves. The realizations of such masters cannot be expressed well in words or by theories. The most perfect actions echo the patterns found in nature.
