Not to play backseat DM but, Nathalia, one of your traits is supposed to be a campaign trait.

Hey Pacchu, did you not read my last post. I would also appreciate, even if you did, to mind your own business. If the DM wants something I am happy to oblige.

Hey umm not to be nosy sir Pacchu, I'd be careful around witches. One hexed me fat once and I never recovered.

Egads! You must see a cleric about that immediately. Who knows what they could do to you next! You might even be turned into a newt!

Grand Lodge

And one turned me into a newt!

I got better...

I did see a cleric about it, unfortunately it was a cleric of Cayden Cailean and he told me to party away the curse... I just got fatter.

Well if a cleric told you that's what you had to do then that's what you have to do. Go out there and party your little heart out until you become thin!

Jeez. Sorry for trying to be helpful and letting you know of the error while you could still edit the post.

For the record, I had read your post, and "I can change a trait" is a far shot from "I know I'm missing a campaign trait."

Bbut.. Parties have loud noises and I startle easily... can't I just exercise?

All right I will train you then. I want you to do 5000 push-ups before tomorrow, and no food until you are done! After that I want 600000 Sit-ups, you can take a break after 300000 of them.

I have found that the difference between being helpful and having another GM is very slim.

fortitude save vs. Training from hell: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Well... *huff huff wheeze* I finished day one.

Congrats! You did not end up like Krillin from this.

EDIT: Changed the link to something better.

Will save vs. no food.: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Oh boy...

I wonder, does this necessitate a training montage?

Already done. Check the link :P

Only if we use benny hill music.

Ah, yeah. DERP.

I was kinda thinking "I'll Make A Man Out Of You."

Well, if it wasn't copyrighted anyway.

How about this?

That one should wait until we are actually in Minkai then it will fit in with the countryside. On the plus side my fat should keep me warm across the Crown of the World.

PERFECT!

I wish my computer could access youtube. Then I would understand.

How about blip.tv?

Word of warning if you do not have something to privately listen to something and have children you might not want to play this.

Nope my policies on these computers block all streaming video, but these are the only computers I usually have access to. Until I graduate that is, then... THEN! Then I shall have youtubes.

Good! Keep working on it and you may loss 1 lbs. before this adventure begins.

Unfortunately my Nat 1 to resist food means I'll probably gain it back and then some.

Oh, don't worry. I'll make sure to hide the food well! :)

Stealth check to hide the food: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Heh heh heh. Good luck! :)

Grand Lodge

"Yo, Genis, just got this great deal in the market for meat pie and some sweets!"

"Meat pie! and Sweets! I'll give you 5 gold for that, someone stole all of my food. Do you have any Curry Salmon?"

"These humans are an odd kind." Pacchu reflects, hanging by his tail from a tree branch fifty feet above the thread.

"NO! Don't fall from the path of health and good living!"

Oh well. It was worth a shot.

Spoiler:
Note to self, get his cash too next time...

I would have an easier time staying on that path if I could feel my arms anymore.

Well ask the cleric, or oracles for healing that will get rid of the nonlethal. Wait, do clerics have a spell to reduce fat? Why work when you can use magic?

Dark Archive

Everyone, While I can appreciate everyone's enthusiasm for this AP please remember this is a recruitment thread and not the in-game thread. Imagine my consternation when I get home from work to see 30+ post in this thread only to find out that there has really only been two new submissions, so can we please keep the social interactions to a minimum.
Thanks

Grand Lodge

Sorry, Marik...

*hangs head in shame* Sorry...

Sorry.

*Commits Seppuku with his Scythe*

sorry

Marik, do you want us to post what position we would want for a caravan already or wait to see what the party is composed of and if selected before we make a final decision? Just curious as Mary is set up for merchant but can go multiple ways with +2 bonus in cha, wis, and int. Thanks.

A note for Marik about the Caravan rules:

When I played through this in a FtF group, our first random caravan encounter was a GROUP of Trolls. Technically, our campaign ended right then and there. We even TRIED to run. Our GM apologized and we kept playing instead.

Somebody may have some nice adaptation rules that work.

From what I have seen the caravan rules serve to consume PC money and group play time. In a PBP that second's not so important. But the provided rules make it basically impossible to make money with the caravan, even if the group dedicates themselves to doing so. The odds are really good that the caravan won't make enough money to cover expenses, let alone the improvements required for it to survive later on.

A young man pulls out a chalkboard and a piece of chalk and begins to write. When he's done, he turns the chalkboard to Marik Whiterose. It says: Hey, tieflingwizard here. Here's my submission. Sorry I'm somewhat late. I hope you like my Mute Bard idea. Also, I want to suggest an idea to the GM based on a response I got on one of my posts here:

Hey. Quick question. Part of my character's backstory is that he's mute. Would you be willing to allow that?
As long as you roleplay it as such, I have no problem.
Okay. Another question: Would you allow me to use a rank in Linguistics to gain Sign Language as one of my languages or gain Sign Language as a bonus language?
That'd be great for roleplay value. Enemies having to make Linguistics/INT checks to determine meanings between party members, especially if the other party members picked it up!

This does seem like an interesting idea. So I would like to suggest it. Thank you for your consideration and I eagerly wait for the deadline date. Good luck all!

Actually Avan is a monk not a fighter.

If we're submitting Caravan Roles I'd be best as a entertainer (I can only imagine the shock and surprise there - a bard as entertainer - how bizarre).

Obviously I also fulfill the Hero and Spellcaster roles as well, and am as ever willing to shuffle character stats around to better fit once we know who's in.

With my current stats, I can fill in as either an entertainer, trader or hero for the caravan.

By the way, do the bonuses from caravan jobs stack if there's more than one character filling the role?

As it turns out, they do, up to +5.
