Rawnie, was the submission at level 2? I only ask because your profile seems to be at level 1.
It was not, and it was a bit unclear if it should be, but it wouldn't be a change that would take a lot of time.
She's also lacking information regarding her familiar, for reasons which I PM'd the GM and her age would indicate middle age but does not have the associated penalties/bonuses for middle aged.

Well I was going to just have her wait as PFS anyway. I don't think it makes much of a difference if it is a green or red name is it?
And I know it has no relevance. But I wanted to hold up on updating the character stats while this alias is still in another game.
If you want me to, I can make an alias, but I have a lot of those already so would rather only make a new one for a character I will play with in a game.
Also, you can get chronicle sheets for AP's run in home game mode (not-pfs campaign mode).
Cheers!
Rawnie, Harrower Extraordinaire
A green name is a pathfinder society character and has a society number, using a green name in a non-PFS play by post could lead to issues with PFS GMs who think you are playing a PFS character with non-PFS characters or who may think you are tied into a PFS PBP while taking part in face to face games, it's better just to not do it.
Also, I rarely ever see green names picked for non-PFS games.
Haru Yoshioka
Yeah, you can run the campaign any way you want, even with a different game system, and still qualify for PFS credit through the Campaign Mode system. But it's best to use a non-PFS alias for it even if you're going to get PFS credit. Speaking of which, I'd like to get PFS credit for campaign mode as well if that's an option. If not, no biggie.
I've updated Haru to an Arcane sorceror with the tattooed archetype, giving her a thrush tattoo that turns into a real thrush, who can talk and fly and such. I haven't done gear yet because I don't see the point if I happen not to get picked.
Yui Hirasawa
Made a new alias and a new name for the wayang witch. Hope you like her.
Small discription:
Yui is a small Wayang girl who met Ameiko during her childhood and became friends with her. She lost contact over a period of time but met her again on her travels. She is a social, knowledgable and very stealthy person. She has a lot of tricks up her sleeve and has some form of manipulation over the shadows. She likes to joke around and and is an overal happy little person with wierd humor. She falls asleep at wierd times, especially during hot days and after a nice meal. During their childhood Yui would often crawl up against Ameiko after dinner.
Cheers!

Hello, everyone. Sorry for the wait. Bill should come back to you guys. Would you guys be willing to RP amongst yourselves? It would give Masamune, Jacen, Alara, Bill, and myself an idea of your character and playstyles, as well as something for you to do to pass the time.
If you would like to role-play, then here's the scenario:
You've all been in Sandpoint for some time, either as a resident or a guest. Lately, the town has been a buzz with fear over the Licktoad goblins in the Brinestump Marsh. Whether you were one of the fearful or one of those who took up arms against the goblins and marched into the swamp with several tens of residents. Those of you who ventured into the swamp for battle came back unsuccessfully, finding only fights with the environment, the natural creatures, or the basic sense of direction. Eventually, word spread of a small group of heroes who came back victorious against the goblins, the chief's head in hand! Not only that, but they went out to the swamp again, only to come back with even greater prizes!
Now the word is that the heroes are planning some expedition to the north, using a caravan. It seems to be something big, as Sandru Vhiski, the owner of the caravan, the noblewoman and propieiter of the Rusty Dragon, Ameiko Kaijitsu, and the elven outsider and protector of Sandopoint, Shalelu Andosana, are joining in, too.
Whether for rest, a drink, good food, or various other reasons, you enter the Rusty Dragon. As you enter, you see the heroes at a group of tables that have been pushed together, talking amongst each other and pouring over a map. You recognize Sandru, Ameiko, and Shalelu. But the heroes you've only heard stories of.
Sitting to the left side is tall, slender elven woman. She wears purple leather armor that fits tightly against her form. Her satchel is on the table. She moves some of her shoulder length brown hair behind her ear. She points to the map, her green eyes shining with excitement as she speaks to the man next to her. From what you've heard, this is Alara Dawnchaser. She's a foreigner, coming to Sandpoint from Kyonin for unknown reasons. Some people say that she's a rogue while others say that she's... something else. Something from outside of Varisia.
The man Alara's talking to nods in her direction. His green eyes stare intently at the map for a while before he pulls out... a chalkboard? He writes something down before showing to the entire group. He's a man of obvious Varisian stock. He has wavy, black hair that reaches his shoulder. Next to him lies a flute. His clothes are a bit odd. They are neat, clean, and uniform. The make of the clothes implies that they're from Absalom. The blues, purples, and golds, as well as the insignia on them imply that he might be a student from a college. He's attractive with the only marking on him is a scar that goes across his throat.
Standing up is a tall young man of Tian descent. He dons red heavy armor and carries an odd curved sword at his hip. His black hair lays down his shoulders as he gazes at the map with his stormy colored eyes. You've heard from the residents that this is Masamune Mitsuhilde.
Finally, sitting to Piper's right, is another Varisian man. This man has darkish hair and green eyes framed by glasses. He wears clothes in various shades of blue with white accents. Another attractive man, you notice that his hands are very burnt, to the point that it makes you wince. He gives a wince every once in a while.
As you pass the table that the heroes occupy, you look around and see others in the tavern. What is your next move?
A bit long, I know. But I just wanted to set up the scene. So, what's your next move?
@Rawnie: It's okay. We're not mad at you for reading the discussion thread.
Piper Hemlock
So, anyone want to start?
Also, Aspex, your character profile is registered as a Society character. As Rawnie and Haru have said...
A green name is a pathfinder society character and has a society number, using a green name in a non-PFS play by post could lead to issues with PFS GMs who think you are playing a PFS character with non-PFS characters or who may think you are tied into a PFS PBP while taking part in face to face games, it's better just to not do it.

I mean no offense. Just thought I should bring it up.
Also, Geliglee, one of your traits needs to be one of the Jade Regent campaign traits.
EDIT: Geliglee, I just noticed that you're applying to a Kingmaker game. Does this mean you're dropping out?

A middle aged Varisian woman sits down at an open table and places her harrow deck down, shuffling it lightly glancing around the room. She takes the first card off the top of the deck and places it in front of her. The joke she notes mentally and draws another card to place beside it The desert and then a third, The Midwife. She then places a card below the first, starting a second row, The liar, The peacock, and The courtesan make up the second row, and then The vision, The Trumpet, and The lost for the final row.
She pauses studying the cards for a moment, trying to take in exactly what each of the cards meant. The first three cards were all partial matches as was The Courtesan, and The Peacock and The Lost were true matches, and lastly The Trumpet was misaligned, this presented a rather difficult spread to interpret. Rawnie knew that she needed to interpret a card on the left side first, as those cards represented the past and may affect the rest of the reading as such. None of these cards were true matches, but The Joke was a partial match, so it was likely the most important card on that side. She took note of the joke, a terror that must be (or rather had been) overcome but not by physical means. The obvious way to interpret this card would be to refer to the goblin tribes which had recently been overcome.
Rawnie took note of this before moving onto the center cards. The peacock had to be interpreted here as it was a true match, the peacock represented astonishing beauty that cannot be contained if it is to be enjoyed. She paused a moment to think "A creature so beautiful that you wish to see it's beauty last forever, but you know that the only way to contain that beauty and make it last forever will ruin it." She spoke aloud, engrossed in the cards so much she had already forgotten where she was now. Perchance the trumpet would be of assistance in interpreting the peacock, misaligned as it was it represented a powerful aggressive force that brought injury and crumbling strength. "Someone has the power required, but it will bring nothing good, which means they found a way to keep the peacock's beauty forever, but it has a great cost." Feeling a little more satisfied now, Rawnie moved on to the right side.
The Lost, a troubling card indeed, it represented emptiness, a loss of identity, and insanity. "The cost is great indeed, so great that all sense of oneself is lost." This card was easy to interpret, but what did it all mean?
"In the wake of the overcome tragedy that was brought upon by the goblins, one will encounter a creature of great beauty, and in capturing its beauty they will lose strength and eventually everything that makes them who they are."
Valia
"Sorry, Are you playing Towers? or reading the Harrow?"
What looks like an elven tribesman with stark red hair approaches Rawnie's table. He bears his hands clasped before him. He gestures with his index fingers-pointing to her deck of cards.
"You mind if I sit?"
He's a little gruff, but he has an honest expression about him.
Haru Yoshioka
A festively-dressed Tien-Min woman enters the tavern. She first sees Shalelu, and runs over.
"Shae!" she exclaims, "I heard about the goblins. Such a relief to have them eliminated! Were you in on that?"
Looking at the others, she greets Masamune, passingly familiar with him as a fellow Minkai expatriate.
She orders a glass of spring water, and with a wave of her hand, colors it purple, flavors it to resemble grape juice, and takes a sip. Prestidigitation.
A thrush, sitting on her shoulder, turns and appears to be whispering in her ear. Suddenly, it melts into her skin and becomes a tattoo of a thrush along her slender neck and bare shoulder.
Piper Hemlock
I suppose I'll play the role of minor GM for this RP. Just feel like it's necessary.
Haru, when you say hello to Shalelu, she turns to you with a small smile. "Haru. Good to see you again. I didn't have any part in the removal of the Licktoads. It was them." she points to the heroes. Masamune nods at you in passing.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
"Towers? Does this look like one of those cheap imitation decks that people try to pass as a real harrow deck? This is an heirloom of the Vhiski family, if anyone dared to even attempt to play towers woth this deck it would be an insult to my family, and I trust you know enough about the Vhiski family to know not to insult them. I was performing the sacred art of the harrow, I would assume that an elf could appreciate that as tradition is so important to your people, as it is to my own. Only a Cheliaxian would dare to play towers with such an important deck." She pauses for a moment, picking up the cards she had laid down and spreading the cards for Valia to see the beautiful imagery which encompasses each and every card, every one of them a work of art on their own, but a masterpiece when presented together. However, one card, the crows seems less well maintained then the others, almost as if it had been inches away from a flame ready to be burnt, but at the last minute saved.
"Each and every card holds importance to me, they are my friends, and the only reminder of my mother that I have left. Even if they sometimes bring misfortune," She pauses, glancing at the crows and picking it out from the deck to look intently. "It is not their fault, nor their intent. The harrow should be respected, and perhaps sometimes feared, but the more you understand each and every card, the less there is to fear." She the gathers the cards once more, covering them in a silken cloth and placing the deck aside.
"I suppose I should introduce myself to you then, Rawnie Vhiski is my name, though I very rarely admit to such outside of Sandpoint, my eldest brother, Jubrayl has made it his personal mission to make sure the Vhiski name remains feared in many areas outside of Sandpoint, which has time and time again caused issues for myself, and my brother Sandru." She doesn't bother explaining who Sandru or Jubrayl are more then her brothers, trusting that anyone in this tavern would know almost everything she could tell them, almost. "And you are?"

I can make a new profile if you guys like Aspex. There's no real reason to do it now; if she doesn't get picked I'd just have 2 Aspexes sitting around for no reason.
A petite, dark haired woman opens the door and comes in. She is small, shorter than human average, and quite slim. Her skin is pale as milk and is set off wonderfully by her blood red and black clothes. With no weapon but an elaborately decorated dagger at her hip and an old book in one hand, she is either a scholar or a mage.
She looks young, barely out of her teens, and moves with the unconscious grace that some girls have. For all that, her face is a serene mask that looks like it gets practiced in a mirror, far from the open expression of most youngsters. And strangely, as the door closes behind her, momentarily casting her face in shadow, her eyes almost seem to glow as if lit like lanterns from the inside.
The woman walks straight toward a table near the back of the room, clearly familiar with the place. Her path takes her past Rawnie's table; her neutral mask slips for the briefest of moments as one of her slim eyebrows quirks up in an amused arch.
Yui Hirasawa
A tiny, cute little girl in an eastern dress walks into the room looking around left and right. She is stopped by one of the bouncers who asks her if she is not too young to be in here. The girl kicks the man in the shins, shoots some black stuff at his eyes and runs past him into the bar, still looking for someone...
As soon as she sees Ameiko, she rushes over to her and jumps at her neck yelling
"AAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE"
With a crash the two knock over and from the other side of the bench you hear her speak in a quick and light voice.
"Amie! I just arrived and I heard you were in here somewhere! But when I tried to find you you went out after the goblins! I wanted to go chase you but I got lost in the woods! And now I found you right here! It's been soooooooo long, how have you been, it's good to see you alive. and I'm neverrrrr letting you go!" She takes a moment to let go of Ameiko and look her into the eyes. Ameiko laughs generously and hugs the little girl back.
The two chat for a little while and Ameiko introduces the little girl to the others.
"This is Yui, she is a childhood friend of mine since waayy back."
The little girl has a huge grin on her face and greets everyone.
"Hiya, nice to meet you all!" She says while she smiles and tilts her head to the side. "My name is Yui and thank you for protecting big sis from the gobsies! I tried to fight them too but I just saw one, I sent my spirits after it but it ran away so quickly" As she says this two little dark shadows hover above her hands. One giggles wierdly and the other has one large eye with which it looks at everyone."and I lost him in the forest and got lost for 2 whole hours." She continues as she looks down disappointment.
She looks back up at Ameiko and smiles "But now I found her again and I am here to help her in however I can. You guys look so strong! But I am sure I can help you in whatever way I can as long as I can stay with Amie! I know lots of useful stuffs, am veeeeeerrrry likeable, can do all sort of magical tricks with the spirits and shadows, and I can be very sneakily, even more sneakily then a gobsy hihihi." She finishes in a giggle, which Ameiko joins in on.

Unlike Koya or Nhiska, Rawnie did not dwell in dignity alone. She was almost like Ash, scarred but by her mother’s passing. They were deep within her, scars that bled simple pride.
”Master Valia’Iania, explain to me the first two hundred uses for Arodeen’s Wort as detailed in The Principle Herbs of Thassilon.” He’d studied all seven-hundred herbs the past three nights. Of course – the witch chose the first one listed. In his first year, he did his best in her class, but no matter how hard he tried, the answer which seemed so simple was always picked apart to the Magister.
He only received three telekinetic slaps and one additional assignment on the day they covered Aroden’s Wort. Some of the other classmates had it worse.
When the few children who Magister Avrelia disliked more than Aratheus chose to rebel against her, it did not go well for them. He’d learned to weave around persons with angry hearts after that.
=====================================
Valia looks on interestedly with raised eyebrows as Rawnie explains in detail the importance of her cards to her. He is a little hurt when she does not recognize him from around town, but he tries to hide it beneath his bearish mask. When he does speak in reply, he falls into humble-toned Varisian.
“Most sincere apologies … ma’am. I merely wished to extend my condolences for your mother Nhiska’s passing. For I have been out in the country some time, but I would know Clan Mvashti anywhere, for they who arrive by road are those who dare.”
Then he unclasps his hands and gestures broadly, speaking in Taldane again,
“Now, it seems I am disturbing you. Please excuse me to give you the space which you are due.”
He walks over to more kindred spirits – Shalelu Andosana and Haru Yoshioka. He gives them both a wave and interjects,
” I heard it was good hunting. I regret that I missed it!” to Shalelu.
”By the way,” he smiles broadly at Haru. ”Dreloc is outside with Duty – in case your feathered friend there would like to play today, Haru.” He indicates her thrush tattoo.
Dreloc would be my PC’s Osprey familiar. Never fear, he’s friendly and harmless as far as birds go.
@YUI - hey would it meet your permission if my PC helped Yui find her way back to town? He would have been out in the forest on his way back to Sandpoint around that time.

Just a couple questions for Yui. First: Do you think that Piper and Yui would know each other? I mean, Piper is a resident of Sandpoint and in his background, I said that he and Ameiko were best friends growing up. He's only been absent for the past five years. Second: I noticed that you didn't take Common as one of your languages. I'm not criticizing or telling you to change one of your languages. I'm just saying that not everyone in the party speaks Tien. Then again... not everyone knows Sign Language (that Piper and Alara know).

sorry, I was thrown off by the description of your character as middle-aged, and am no longer clear on the blocking for the scene.
I assumed incorrectly that your PC was Koya's little sister. This was my mistake. I'm very sorry.
Now, is this exchange before or after Valia walks over to the others?

Sandru is middle aged as well, and in order to be his biological sibling and not be like 2 when the parents died, Rawnie is middle aged (actually the same age as Sandru) Middle age for humans is 35, Rawnie is 37, and her parents died 30 years ago. The exchange would have taken place prior to you leaving, as you said please excuse me.

I do not think she will know you. Yui knows Ameiko from when both still lived in Tien. Yui's own parents frowned on the friendship and held her back when Ameiko's family left. Finally being of age Yui went looking for Ameiko straight away, traveling far to find her. I am not very familiar with Ameiko's background and could only find something in the players guide so if the GM wants to change bits let me know. Otherwise, yes, you would know each other from Sandpoint and you would have been a bigger brother for her. If you ever kissed it would be wierd for her seeing brother and sister kiss ;). I picked it like this to explain for her race, which is quite exotic. Though she only looks (and acts) like a little girl she is 25 years old.
Ah good catch on the language, I guess it is due to wayang default not having common. I will switch draconic with common so she can speak normally with everyone. Though she has a heavily accented speech.
Sure Valia, you can have found her in the woods. Though when you scared her at first she sent weird shadows your way to look and laugh at you funny ;)
Yui meets Ameiko's new friends with great enthusiasm and studies each of them closely. Poking the big muscles of Masamune "Ooooo strooooong! Could you lift me up reaaaaaly high with one arm?", asking Piper "Why don't you speak? Do you have a really funny voice that you are embarrassed about? I promise I won't laugh! and looks at Ash's arms "Why don't you wash your arms, because they are so blackened. With a good rub and some gal of the oxen you can get any stain out!"
Yui listens animatedly to their stories of how they defeated the goblins from the nearby village. Asking things like what the goblins wore and how their village looked.
Rawnie, Harrower Extraordinaire
Unless I am mistaken, Ameiko was born in Sandpoint, not Tien. Note that my reasoning for this is Sandpoint was founded in 4666 AR, Ameiko was born in 4689 AR, and the Kaijutsu family was one of the founding members of Sandpoint.
EDIT: I think Jade Regent takes place in 4712 AR, additionally I believe I put down the wrong age for Rawnie. As if the current year is indeed 4712 Sandru is 32. Rawnie should be the same age as Sandru as long as that would be acceptable.
Piper Hemlock
From what I know, yes, Ameiko was born in Sandpoint. And, in this game, it is currently the 7th, 8th, or 9th (since the planning for the expedition took a few days) of Gozarn, 4712 AR. By the way, Alara's been writing journal entries for our campaign, if you wish to read them.
Piper looks on in confusion at the odd, excitable female creature tackling Ameiko, but as Ameiko explains, he relaxes, a smile forming. Her rapid fire questions take some time to register before he writes in Tien: 'I don't speak because I can't speak. As for my voice... I don't really know what it would sound like.'
The reason I describe Yui as an 'odd creature' is because, according to what I've read and seen, wayangs are very different from humans and elves.
Rawnie, Harrower Extraordinaire
Adjusted Rawnie's age to 32, as the Vhiski parents died in 4687 AR when Sandru (and Rawnie) were 7 years old, meaning in 4712 Sandru (and Rawnie) are 32, Poor Alder would have been 27 now :(. Ameiko is 23. This is of course all assuming birthdays have passed, I don't know the NPC's birthdays. Anyway Rawnie is a few years from middle aged rather then middle aged, my mistake.
Valia
"Aratheus Valia'Ianaia, yes, I believe we've met a few times, no? I apologize I've been something of a ghost of late.
He moves a stray lock of red hair out of his eyes.
"Poor Imouto, he probably wore himself out in all the excitement these past few days. Perfectly understandable. It was hard to sleep after all the shadows and excitement last night.
Masamune would you like to hear the story from Yui and I?" he looks to Yui for confirmation.
tomtesserae
If you don't mind, I'll create an alias for the game if my PC gets chosen. Seeing the number of characters I have that were never accepted or from games that have fallen apart makes me a bit sad. This is the avatar I would use.
Zelruza enters the Rusty Dragon. A half-orc in her late twenties dressed in well made clothes. ”Are you alright, Rolf? she asks the bouncer. He has dark blots on his face, as if from a powder ”Is that soot? Here take this,” she hands the man a handkerchief. He mumbles thanks and mutters to stay away from the little girl.
The half-orc’s glance goes to the table with Sandru. There’s a little girl. Zelruza returns her gaze to Sandru and waits a moment to catch his eye. Is he? Just look this way...Turn your head. No...oh well. There’s too much noise and distraction for that, so she heads to the bar.
”An ale please and a handful of roasted nuts,” she says sliding over the coins. She pats the side of her satchel as she continues to watch the customers. There’s Rawnie giving a harrowing. A few strangers here and there. She takes a few of the nuts and slips them inside her satchel. A faint squeak from her bag and she sighs. She drops one nut into her ale. ”Is Stepnos coming to play tonight?” she asks the barmaid. The barmaid gives an exaggerated non-committal shrug, much like Stepnos.
The half-orc takes out a scarf from her satchel then finishes her drink. Keeping the glass upside down, the nut slides down into her waiting palm. She places this into her satchel. She looks back to the Sandru’s table to see it has more people around it. Nice! Getting Sandru alone would be easier. Wiping her hand on another handkerchief, she approaches the table, walking up behind Sandru.
”Sandru, hi!” Zelrazu says and waits for him to turn around and stand. While he does that she smiles at the others at the table, greeting Piper with a sign for “hello” and a friendly bob to Ameiko, Rawnie, and others she’s known her whole life. She hands the scarf to him. ”I heard you’re traveling north. I thought this scarf might keep you warm. Such a soft wool. The color compliments your eyes too,” she drapes it around his neck, tossing one end over a shoulder. ”Yes. Just as I imagined...uh, not that I imagine you...or...” she stares at her shoes for a few quick heart beats that sounded so loud to her. How could anyone else not hear them? She chuckled, meeting his eyes again. ”I’ll make you a jacket if I get your measurements. Rabbit or beaver fur. A nice fleece lining. When are you leaving? Tomorrow, two days from now?”

is this still recruiting?
I have a monk that has been awaiting an active jade regent game for over a year now.
been in two that fizzled real fast. and missed out on numerous others.
guess you can check the profile if you want but I think (from what little I have read may have a little bit of conflict.
Rawnie, Harrower Extraordinaire
is this still recruiting?
Only for an arcane spell caster.
Rawnie picks up her harrow deck and heads over to Sandru. "Brother, I hear you're getting ready to head out on another journey, and with that vixen Ameiko, I still haven't forgiven her for what happened with Alder, I know you say it wasn't her fault, but I miss him, and I know that you do too. He would've been twenty-seven this year, and I can't help but feel upset by how much he has missed. I can't believe it's been six years."
Piper Hemlock
So, tomtesserae, you're planning on a half-orc sorceress (I assume sorceress)? Who's a tailor? Interesting. I can imagine her crafting all kinds of gear and clothing for the team (provided we have materials). And a romance with Sandru? Unique. And she knows Sign Language, I assume? So, Piper went to college and learned a rare language... that could be learned in Sandpoint. Truly, he is a genius. :)
I apologize, I'm not accustomed to GMing and I apologize if I get Sandru's character wrong.
@Zelruza
Hearing someone greet him, Sandru turns to see Zelruza standing behind him. He smiles and stands. "Hello, Zelruza. Need something?" Seeing the scarf that the half-orc made, the caravan owner smiles and lets her put it around his neck. He looks at one of the ends in his hand. "Very nice. Should keep me nice and warm on the journey north. Thank you." At her question of the caravan's departure, Sandru runs a hand through his graying hair and sighs. "That we're still not sure of. I'm getting my caravan ready and Ameiko has bankrolled for the supplies. We're just trying to figure out a route before we head out."
Piper sees Zelruza and is astonished by her sign language. He eventually shakes it off, smiles, and signs, 'Hello, Zelruza. You can talk to me. I'm not deaf, you know Just mute.' Hearing what she has to say about tailoring and crafting, Piper sits there, a look of realization coming across his face. He writes on his chalkboard: 'Dang it. I forgot. It's going to get colder as we go north.' Seeing the tailor's nervousness around Sandru, Piper leans forward, elbows on the table, chin resting on his hands, an knowing grin on his face, eyebrow raised, and an amused look in his eye. As a heavy worshipper of the Eternal Rose and the son of a priest, you know that Piper likes to see romance bloom.
@Rawnie
Your brother turns to you with a sigh. "Rawnie. We've been over this. I miss Alder, too. But you can't keep blaming Ameiko. It's better that we remember the good times we had with him; instead of dwelling on the past. Alder died to protect us. If he hadn't, then you might have lost both of your brothers."
Piper stays silent as you approach. Being 11 years your junior, the bard never got to truly know you nor did you know him all that well.
Again, sorry if I got Sandru wrong. And I thought I'd include Piper's reactions.

”I only know a few words,” she says to Piper with a chuckle. ”Hello, good, more, and...good bye.” Her eyes dart towards Sandru’s face for a moment. After reading the board, she grins. ”Oh, I could make you a scarf too. You have to be careful in the cold. My parents told me many stories about them trying to survive in the north. Before Sandpoint.” She leans closer to Piper. ”My father only has seven toes. Frostbite.”
She turns back to Sandru and smiles, setting some hair behind her ear. ”Well, come by tomorrow morning. I can make a coat for you quickly.“
Please include any reactions you want. All part of rp, right? Also if it makes a difference to the group, I can post usually once a day. Some days will have more. If you average two or three a day, I wouldn’t be a good fit. Actually, Zelrazu's a witch. Her familiar rat is in her bag (she fed it roasted nuts in the previous post, soaking one in ale for it.
Piper Hemlock
Hey, guys. Minor thing: I got Piper's uniform wrong. Been a while since I saw it. If you own the book, Inner Sea Magic, there is a picture of a White Grotto Student. What he's wearing is what I imagine the uniform for the college looks like. If you don't have the book, let me know. It'll take some time to describe it due to the fact that there doesn't seem to be a full body image on the internet. Only a headshot from Paizo's alias images.

Please do share. Haven't that book just yet.
Dreloc at last returns to Duty, with a dead rat in his talons.
He seems to be trying to...
I found this rat at the apple tree. This is the one. This is tasty. You should like this rat very much. It is my rat. It is dead now, so you can have it.
Dreloc drops the rat into the stall for Duty to enjoy!
1- Intelligence score of 2, brother. Figured we could make it interestin.
2- I just want to lay it out on the line. Valia ain't interested in wooing any of the standard NPCs. (Shalelu, Ameiko, Sandru, Koya, what have you.
3- He's looking "to get away from it all" perhaps to be filed under Motivation later.

Ah so from Ameikos background I will make a small change. Her wayang parents were part of a traveling troupe that stayed in Sandpoint for a few years. Ameiko and Yui quickly hit it off and became good friends. Yui also knows Piper from that time and what she said here is the first thing she asked him. Because Piper didn't learn sign language untill after he left sandpoint yui could not have learnt it, but will pick it up next level so she can finalle 'speak' with her onii-chan or brother. Her parents drew Yui with her back to Tien after 4 years, but Yui never had such good friends again. She is an odd creature after all. The rest of the story stays.
When Yui identifies Piper she also jumps at his neck hugging him fiercely.
"Pipieee, you are here toooo! What are you wairing? And what are you doing with your hands? *gasp* I have heard of that...Is that...sign language? You MUST teach me tthis so we can finally talk to eachother!" Forgetting herself again she coughs and regains her composure somewhat. But as soon she is asked to tell a story she burst into another waterfall of words on how she finally was old enough to go into the world and go adventuring. (She too ran away yelling "I am going on an adventure!" When she was finally allowed too.)
She hid aboard a caravan that left Tien for the west, but got found out when she talked with two kids on the caravan and had to earn her keep so to speak. She had to cook and gather food. She even helped with fighting off a big group(2) of bandits! She had to go through huge cities and because she had no money, had to steal food to keep going. During her travel she made friends with a tiny scorpion which she called Takei. She puts her hand in one pocket and out comes a tiny scorpion that animatedly clicks and dances in her hands when she presents him. The scorpion helped her befriend the two shadow spirits you saw earlier.
small break so people can respond ;) She will go on and on.
Rawnie, Harrower Extraordinaire
"I know, it's just..." The woman let's out a short sigh, bringing her hand to her face and touching the tattooed image of a butterfly, which seems to be replaced with a real butterfly as she moves her hand away, and whispers a little something to the creature. "I can't help but think things would have gone differently if Ameiko hadn't seduced Alder with her exotic beauty, perhaps Alder would still be here with us today, spreading the word of Desna as he often did." She ran her fingers across the butterfly's wings. "I pray to Desna every night to honor him, and I know he fancied Ameiko, but I just can't bring myself to accept her. I know you think of her as family, and if Alder was still alive perhaps she would be family by now, but I just don't like her." Rawnie contemplated sending her butterfly to mess up Ameiko's hair or something, but she reconsidered, taking note of all the birds currently present.
The butterfly is supposed to be Rawnie's familiar, the butterfly isn't stated in any paizo product, though an issue of Dragon magazine did mention using a Thrush to approximate a butterfly. She has a butterfly mainly due to its connection to Desna and because having a stylized butterfly tattooed to one's face sounds pretty cool.
