Sorry I haven't been posting. Being sick takes it out of me. Once I recover it just takes all desire to do anything else other than just laze around.
I was listening in on a different virtual game and it suddenly rekindled the desire to play again. Game on!

I wonder if we can change ownership every time the GM changes. I wanted to post some info on the campaign page, but it hasn't been opened by tumblr and he is MIA.
So, here's a friendly recap.
After years of relative quiet, the current party plus a few friends just happened, purely by coincidence, end up in a position to deal with an awakened spawn of rovagug. The battle was surprisingly short. Building a cage actually took longer, but was completed, and the spawn Storm has been secured.
Recovering after that confrontation, the heroes received various messages of interests that all pointed to the deep desert of Rahadoum.
Shortly thereafter, the heroes were summoned to a convocation of heralds. A general theme of the attendees was that for the most part their gods preferred an orderly universe. The convocation discussed unknown assailants wrecking havoc on a planar scale, including the destruction of several planets. This disruption likely caused the awakening of Storm and it is feared that it may awaken and free Rovagug as well.
Each of the heroes was asked to undertake a quest to determine what was occurring. The heroes were each provided a token that imbued them with new abilities handed down from their gods.
Recognizing the significance that each of them had received a request for aid that was in Rahadoum, the heroes made their separate ways to Manaket.
They discovered that some conjuration and divination spells were being blocked and that a sandstorm of epic proportions was burying an empty Manaket.
Pushing through the storm the heroes discovered that the desert holds some unknown type of creature that can burrow through sand as readily as a fish swims through water. These creatures are of great size, large enough to potentially swallow entire buildings. The heroes have recently realized that the sandstorm was likely the border of two planes crossing into each other. It may be that whatever is affecting the planes has something to do with this event.
It is likely that the people they were sent to aid are either back on their own plane, behind the planar boundary, or they may have wandered into this plane and are lost.
While the over-riding quest is to find out who or what is behind the chaos, finding the lost expeditions is also personally important.
Any questions?

Hey, I just wanted to say that I am still here. I have been extremely worn out due to the events of the last few months. My job has me working at 4am, and my employment is now fluctuating. I hope to have a full-time job worked out here in the next week or so. In addition, I will be moving in a month and a half.
I am still interested in playing, and if everyone is still up for it I will get things settled so I can get back into our campaign here.
Thoughts?

With the long hiatus, I'd like to do a few posts on recapping where we are, and what the party is hunting for.
One thing I am learning about running pbp's is that I need to be very clear about clues and hints than I would in a table top where the recall time is measured in minutes instead of weeks.
Probably need to make note of hints and clues on the campaign page along with group goals.
If the party isn't too happy with where we left off, I can short cut it and let someone else take the reigns.

I am in the process of setting up a new game tab for us. I've been mining the old stuff on this site to provide a player/DM friendly campaign page and I'm hoping to get enough in there to get us off the ground soon. It's great to know that we still have a solid core that wants to continue in the game.
If any of you have the time and inclination.
Feel free to go through the old game play posts and make a post for your own character that has any pertinent history for our current quest. Such as, notable NPC's the tie-in used to bring you to the desert, your mythic talisman, etc.
I'm working on updating the character requirement and some of the world history information.
Once I have the discussion and gameplay threads activated I'll drop a post here and get your individual posts incorporated as well.
