Hello! Welcome to my table. Before we start, please do the following:
Please complete the macros linked at the top of the page. This will be used for initiative and secret rolls.
Please also post your token to the slides and post your position in the marching order. The slides are also linked at the top of the page.
As per the Organized Play Foundation Community Standards, each player must decide if they will allow their characters to be damaged by friendly fire (usually via splash damage). In keeping with the “Explore, Report, Cooperate” motto of the Pathfinder Society, engaging in non-consensual character-versus-character conflict is prohibited. While accidental friendly fire happens due to missed attack rolls or other factors, players must obtain the consent of other players before deliberately including fellow PCs in damaging effects. This rule does not apply in situations where a character is not acting of their own free will, such as if they’re being mind-controlled by an NPC and forced to attack a fellow Pathfinder.
This applies to Scenarios only
You may select a consumable item from the Pathfinder Provisions list. These used to be the school items you get prior to starting an adventure. Quests and bounties do not receive provisions.

I will need to update my profile, but I accept any friendly fire doing 5 Electric damage or less, 10 if it allows a Reflex save to reduce damage. If it would do more than that, please ask first. The answer will likely depend on my current hit point total.
That means any alchemists, you can feel free to load up on those sweat Bottled Lightning bombs!

Dotting in!
Definitely need to update Brix's profile on the Paizo site, and will try to do so tomorrow. As far as friendly fire, Brix is (generally) fine with it so long as its for a tactical reason - not just because the local wizard wants to chuck a fireball at him just to see if he can dodge it :p

Pip is here! I'm happy to be your bard and your legal representative!
Salliss

I hadn’t considered this before because it so seldom comes up. Salliss has the convention hero boon so they will actually start with 3 hero points plus the campaign coin.

01-13 (Devil at the Crossroads). I have that as well for one of my PCs.

Hobbs is fine with friendly fire in moderation.
Do we get more "Grr-grrrrr-grr-grrr"? :)

We shall see.

Thinking back on Rain's eavesdropping, I have to wonder if we have understood the character all wrong. Maybe he's not an incompetent bumbler... Maybe he's a spy for the Aspis or something.

I would LOVE to see how you extricate yourselves out of this one!!
Alternatively -- ok, you're all arrested and imprisoned. Therefore you fail the mission. Scenario over! :)
I can't believe you actually threw pepper juice in a Venture Captain's face!!

So it is very late and I have an appointment tomorrow morning. Not sure I will have time to respond to events until late in your day.
I will respond, just not as soon as I normally would be able to.

Had some time while waiting in the dentist’s office. Posted sooner than I expected to.

Everytime I play this character, I introduce her as the duly-appointed legal representative from the Envoy's Alliance to the rest of the team. This is the first time in my Pathfinder Career that I actually acted as a legal representative to defend my team.

I should be doing stuff but I'm sitting here reading the Gameplay thread and giggling at the chaos you all caused. Especially Marta telling Jorsal to "go dunk his head".
Hobbs Picklesmith

Sorry about the back posting but I only just got home from work and it doesn't make much sense for Hobbs to collect tears once Jorsal has more or less forgiven us.
Salliss

Note for current battle.
Salliss has Blind-Fight so the check for hidden is DC 5. He failed the check, but his is lower than normal.
Also he has Gang Up (I think every rogue takes that) so if he is threatening an opponent and someone else also is then they are considered flanking. No need for being on opposite sides of the opponent.

Tiger has internet trouble going on, and will update us when he can.
Hmm
GM Tiger

Yep. I was going to fix the rift but my home internet cut out before I could do so. So that one with Hobbs in it will be the odd man...
GM Tiger

I'm gonna have to grab that spell next time I get the chance...

I think that Makie forgot my Courageous Anthem!
Salliss

Salliss
Str +0 Athletics Trained.
No, he isn’t good at it. He would get an additional +2 from his weapon, but still that is far below what would be considered good at this level.

A thought: Is Makie or Saliss good at Athletics? Normally Disarming I've found to be niche, but this might be one of those times it could work - her specific weapon right now's pretty fancy.
Athletics is by far Makie's best skill but disarming strangely has never come to mind. I CAN try it...
Makie generally fights as a tank, defensive posture lightning bolt, more of a distraction for baddies and can soak up damage and/or a lot of missed hits especially with stronghold. But I can try to disarm here next turn. I have never tried it before, but I have the Athletics skill to do it. Hesla is a single target so I expect her DC to be in the stratosphere still, but with a 24 Athletics and knowing the average DCs in this tier, I should have about a 40% chance of success.
The odds still aren't great, but I think this is worth a shot.

Makie -
The odds are MUCH better now. I just gave you Heroism +2, and she's now clumsy and slowed. We can take her alive if we use Non-Lethal force.
GM Tiger
|
she's not slowed. CS on the Fort Save. but other than that, she's acting like someone who's had one too many to drink!
Pip Hip Hooray
|
It was a crit fail. Doesn't that mean she's Stunned 2 for a minute?
EDIT:
I guess that depends on how you interpret the Critical Failure text on the spell: "As failure, and the target is stunned 2 as it attempts to process the sensory shifts."
I thought that meant for the whole minute, because the target is processing sensory shifts for the whole minute, but it might just refer to the round after the spell.
EDIT 2:
Okay, I see that the Stunned Condition usually only lasts until all the Stunned is gone. It's different than Slowed.
Under that interpretation, yeah, she's no longer slowed. But she's still easier to hit. You all have her off-guard thanks to Saliss, and with her being clumsy 3 (and with Courageous Anthem) you should have a chance to hit non-lethally.
Salliss
|
So base AC 35, clumsy 3 makes that 32, anyone in melee has her off guard so 30.
Courageous Anthem is +1 to hit and damage.
I agree, first attack should be at about 50% hit chance. We should be able to take her down non-lethally.
GM Tiger
|
btw, CA and Heroism don't stack -- they're both status bonuses. so only +2 atk with the heroism.

Healing needed
Salliss - 38 damage, 28 after the 10 minutes.
Marta - 32 damage, don’t know if they have a pearly white spindle aeon stone
Brix - 14 damage, don’t see a pearly white spindle aeon stone in inventory
Pip - 62 damage, 52 after the 10 minutes
Makie 62 damage, 52 after the 10 minutes
Without a doubt Makie and Pip need it the most.
Makie is the best with Medicine (M), Sallis and Brix are expert. All three of us have Continual Recovery.
Without looking at Feats or Archetypes
Default 2d8, 4d8 on crit success
Expert can try DC 20 for +10 HP
Master can try DC 30 for +30 HP
Makie has Ward Medic so she can treat up to 4 people. We only have 5 people hurt that I see. That can take care of the worst of it.
Either Salliss or Brix can treat Brix and he will be mostly recovered.
We also received Three greater healing potions from Zarta so that is 6d8+20.
I would suggest we attempt the medicine checks first then quaff potions.
I also just noticed I never declared what I was taking for provisions. If the GM does not object, that is another greater healing potion.

Remember that Hobbs has given everyone a moderate elixir of healing earlier.

Remember that Hobbs has given everyone a moderate elixir of healing earlier.
Thanks for the reminder!
That is another 5d6+12 Hit Points (average 30 HP) everyone can utilize.
I think Pip and Makie should both quaff one before the medicine roll,
Salliss

It better get both of them and they better not be immune to fire.
About a 30% chance of failure on Salliss’s save.
To be clear, you have permission but I would prefer a different solution.
Hobbs Picklesmith

Pip, shouldn't the DC for your noise blast be 30 instead of 29? I figure 11 (level) + 4 (Expert caster) + 5 (Cha) +10 = 30. Did I miss a condition?

Aside based on the IC 'what do you call out' discussion that made me think of this:
I once had a goblin caster who would consistently mis-name spells based on what they should be called.
I.E. when he uses a 3rd-level spell to create a massive spherical eruption of fire, clearly that's a 'flaming sphere'.
And a 2nd-leve spell that makes a ball -shaped bit of flame that you can move and 'kick' around over and over? 'Fireball', duh :p
Salliss
|
I have done something similar but it was to make all the spell names more grandiose and not necessarily consistent between castings.
Works better for a sorcerer than a wizard just because the number of names you need to track is fewer.
