Fendahl Silvermane |
The two listen intently to the announcements of the new Seekers.
Seekers, are they? I wonder what THEY just did...?
Presenting Vladek Odradek, who has just become my first 12th-level character, presently at exactly 33 XP, and eager to embark on "Eyes of the Ten"!
A previously silent half elf with feline characterstics nods in agreement from the corner.
"Hrmmm. Same here. I have been resting too long and seek to test myself against the foes of our Society ."
Qadathra |
"He's a great guy for an elf...ha ha... Rogar smiles "Just kidding Vladek. Where's your dragon?"
Qadathra suddenly appears on Rogar's shoulder, and before just as suddenly disappearing again...
Morrin the Stout |
"Just a bit of travel, some talking with the locals, and meeting a beautiful woman that I will have the pleasure to bring books and various gifts to from my travels. Other than that, I think I may have found a way to expand my clientele at my inn!"
Morrin beams with pride as a mug of ale floats towards him as he speaks to the others.
Endir Feyim |
A tall elf with a longbow strides into the room.
"Hello! My name is Endir Feyim, how do you do?"
freshly created core character right here, ready for a 1st level adventure!
Qadathra |
Qadathra's head suddenly cocks to one side, as if listening to, or looking at, something far, far away.
A tiny tear suddenly forms in one of his eyes.
All nearby then hear his telepathic voice, tinged with an uncharacteristic gravity:
Finvarra Acorntosser |
After Fin enters the Lodge, he scans the area to find the easiest path to the bar. Pondering what the new, popular rotgut is.
Heria |
"Hmm, just got back from a school full of haunted pasts. Not too enjoyable I say. Any other jobs I can partake, or shall I just scowl at all the unlearned passerby entering?"
Level 1 Diviner Wizard open for play!
Finvarra Acorntosser |
After getting some haggis and a pint, Fin takes a seat facing the entrance to watch the curiosities coming and going.
Lynn Kuro |
A well dressed tanned woman enters the lodge doors, smelling of sea salts and the fine spices of Qadiran festivities. She approaches the bounty board without hesitation and starts pouring over the actually rather slim pickings.
"Let's see..wow been pretty dead here recently it seems." She stood by the board plucking letters off and then pinning them again, it seemed either the notices were expired, filled to the brim, or even asking for adventurers of much higher caliber than her own skills.
After a few futile minutes of looking through the boards posts she let out a sigh and wandered over to the counter for a moment, "Could i have a leg of your spiced chicken soup and some bread?"
The tender nodded and counted up her bill before heading to the back to fetch her meal. During that time she counted out coins from a hefty pouch onto the counter.
Grom Kranock |
Hey guys, sorry I am new to PBP. I have looked at the guides linked above. SO i just post here and a GM will contact me if they are looking for players? I have a level 2 Wizard (Spellslinger boon), Level 2 Fighter, Level 6 Sorcerer and level 7 Arcanist (Brown Fur) that I could use for PbP. Not sure whether to write little stories here for each of them like I see others have done.
Redelia |
Hi, Grom, and welcome. The way recruitment works around here (except for our conventions) is that a GM will post that they are starting a game, and how players can express interest in that game. It's often by posting in a specific thread or filling out a spreadsheet. The GM then selects players from among those who expressed interest.
There are not as many games as usual starting up right now because we're a little over 2 weeks into a convention. Keep an eye out here (especially in our recruitment thread) and you should find a game. Make sure to let your GM know if you're new to Play by Post; everyone around here is great.
GM Nowruz |
You see a cute little female gnome with pink hair shouting out of the window to an unseen person.
"Did you hear that Venture-Captain Muesello is looking for pathfinders for a mission in Taldor? Yes, you heard correctly: Taldor! Everybody knows that we have a poor reputation in Taldor and that the most prestigious universities and colleges often deny our agents access to the best libraries in Oppara, thinking we are meddling good-for-nothings. I can tell you ... this will be a difficult mission!"
Hello, I am offering to GM #5-11: Library of the Lion (Tier 1-5). If you are interested please use the link to apply. Recruitment
Lynn Kuro |
Lynn almost slapped the table at the word library and rushed over to see what this was about.
Heria |
Neatly putting his book away, Heria briskly follows Lynn at the notation of a library, yet quickly rushing back to pick up his rabbit before heading out once again.

Hello, one more player can apply.
GM Nowruz |
Again, a little female gnome with pink hair attracts attention by shouting at a probably very heavy invisible colleague whose imprint is visible on the couch next her:
"WHAT??? A minotaur went missing in a maze?? A maze? A minotaur? You have to be kidding me!"
The little gnome shakes her head and continues: "This has to be one of Grandmaster Torch's newest jokes! No, no, no! Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng can ask someone else! I will stay out of this mission ..."

Hello, I am offering a NEW game: #1-45 'Delirium’s Tangle' (Tier 1-5)

Kala, daughter of Krokum |

A tall, dark, imposing young woman with a hooked nose like a hawk enters the Lodge, followed by a wolverine. Making a beeline for the job postings, a spark of recognition crosses her face at the sight of the short red haired woman. After nodding in her direction, the dark woman peruses the listings, then crosses the room to strike up a conversation.
"So, Sebastian took out Nessian all by itself. Never would've guessed an owl would be that awesome."
The wolverine chuffs and gives her leg a hearty nudge.
"Yeah, I know you're not always useless," she chuckles warmly, scratching him behind the ears.

"No way, really? I figured y'all at least got a lick in; I saw you run up the stairs while I was playing with Gracie." When she says 'lick', she glances at Stinky and grins. "But you're right. That owl was pretty amazing."
Kala, daughter of Krokum |
"Yeah, he was. And you should've seen Stinky's face when Nessian fell from the tower. The poor thing looked so sad and mad at the same time. He really wanted a piece of that meaty leg--didn't you, Stinky?"
Aldebert Dunitee |
"Attention Pathfinder agents; apparently there is a need for a couple of relatively experienced agents to assist a team of agents in the traitor province of Cheliax. Please inform your assigned venture captain if this interests you."
Need two more characters for high tier 7-16 Faithless and Forgotten, Part 2: Lost Colony of Taldor. We will be completing the series.
Ramesses |
A gruff looking half-elf, with noticeable scarring across his face and arms, wearing battle worn mithral chainmail enters the lodge. He has long white-blonde hair, his deep green eyes show the look of a man who has reached the end of his rope, despair clearly on his vacant, empty looking ,face almost as if ashamed to be in the lodge. He says nothing and makes eye contact with no one and finds the closest spot that has the least amount of people near it and sits down, setting his battle worn greatsword on the floor under the table. He waits patiently for a server to arrive at his table.
I'll have two shots of your finest Elvish licqoure please, with a dash of mint and honey.
Level 8 Inquisitor looking for work, I've played quite a few low tier games lately but have been having trouble finding a higher tier game. I dug this old bat out the other day he's the first character I ever made, I'd be happy to bring him along on a new journey if one comes available thank you!
Aldebert Dunitee |
"EbonFist and GM Andrew! Whatever those monikers mean. Report to Corenthyn immediately!"
Telos Downshot |
A young halfling walks into the lodge.
"A self-declared prince with a sewer kingdom?? I've really got to start reading the location information on these jobs on the job board!"
Garr Nesteruk |
A tall, broad barbarian walks into the lodge. He sits down next to the two ladies conversing at the bar and pulls up a seat, ordering a round from the tavern master
Hey Kala and Bressa! Warren Moon from our last campaign, just seeing if any other modules opened up, just finished outpost. Glad to see you guys are still active! If there's any low tier recruitment going on hit me up! Really enjoyed our group, you guys were a blast
Prisim |
A brightly coloured, small, but very enthusiastic gnome rushes into the lodge. In a burst of excitement she exclaims "Venture Captain Nofden is looking to send a team of Core pathfinders to Tar Kuata in the Barrier Wall mountains!"
Recruiting for a CORE game of Test of Tar Kuata. Sign up is on my normal signup sheet
Dimenche Forez |
A short, skinny wizard walks into the lodge just as a gnome rushes past him knocking him slightly of balance, before calmly sitting at the bar.
This is my first post looking forward to adventuring in an online setting.
Ginadori |
A young, red-haired woman comes in the lodge. She finds a seat and begins reading a Chronicle, piling several more in front of her. She drums as she reads, but takes breaks to check for postings.
Gina just finished an OutPost scenario, looking for more and happy to continue pbp.
Morrin the Stout |
Cracking his knuckles and his neck, Morrin orders an ale to sip on as he watches the comings and goings of all the Pathfinder agents. "Hmph. Aside from day drinking, and flying too and fro, nothing has been brought up for my services." Walking to the job board, a hand on his chin, and floating mug being sipped on every few minutes, he looks through the listings.
Bored 14th kineticist/rogue looking for work, haha.
Alie Saechel |
Alie jumps up and hugs Morin. ”Long time no see! Hopefully we can do something to assist the Society. That last mission was a doozy!”
Prisim |
The colourful gnome looks around the lodge, pinning up the latest assignment.
"Looks like Meran, Garn Harlardorn, Meredith Une, grog and Deluge all are all heading off to Tar Kuata." she comments loudly.
"How odd, I'm sure Norden ordered an extra berth on the ship. Maybe there is room for another if they go and see the captain Real Quick."
And they are a Core character in the 3-7 range...
Morrin the Stout |

Startled, Morrin jumps a bit before looking down and grinning. "Indeed it was! Now I'm looking to help out a few more times before retirement as an Innkeeper. After our last mission, I was called to help some out finding a lady named Baba Yaga with a group of people. Well, we found her, kind of, but also found as to who was keeping her. Three died, but we managed to beat her captor!"
Reign of Winter is pretty dang brutal, especially with certain classes involved. Couldn't just do my invisible scouting trick.
Sejanus Ici |
A black-haired human from southern Cheliax waits patiently by the door as those selected to head to Tar Kuata file past.
In the rain outside, the scales of zir armour shimmer like obsidian beneath a sodden dark gray tabard, emblazoned with a sunburst formed from thick, rusty nails.
Striding through the door, the dark figure heads straight toward the fireplace and kneels to warm zir hands. Only after several minutes by the fire does ze stand and approach the board looking for postings.
Somewhere warm, please...
Level 1 fighter, fresh out of zir first scenario and looking for more work.
Avasir |
An elf with silver, unkempt hair and green eyes enters the lodge. If you'd seen him in the lodge previously you might have noted that he seemed nervous, skittish, and downright out-of-place. This time however, he seems to walk with a bit of newfound swagger. level 2. Just a bit, mind you.
However, he does have the same old obsessed focus and finds an empty table to sit at alone. He pulls out what looks like some sort of package fulfilling a custom order. He opens it to reveal a masterwork cold iron longsword.
"It's not often that a wizard replaces his focus object... I hope the blacksmith was able to meet my specs!" he mutters to himself. He begins poring over its surface, noting and verifying various fine details.
...scanning recruiting for the next STANDARD tier1-2 or 1-5
Wilen Proudbrew |
A young, fresh-faced halfling who was sitting nearby wanders over to his table to get a closer look at what came out of the package.
"Hmm... knowing you I just assumed it would be a majestic arcane staff. Are you looking to join the militia?" The taunting "majestic" is accompanied by an exaggerated gesture of grandeur.
Avasir |
The elf returns his query with a cold glare.
"No, I'm just coming to appreciate a level of versatility while out in the field."
Arin Qualnoh |
A white-haired gnome, even more aloof and distant than the elf joins their table, paying absolutely no heed to their current conversation.
"So, I've received a summons to meet Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng. Who wants to accompany me to the markets and inform me on what meets acceptable formal attire?"
On the interruption their conversation descends into comedic bickering...
Eramos |
A rough looking human male strides into the grand lodge carry a scroll of some sort, he unfurls it and clears his throat.
"Venture Captain Heidmarch seeks new vic...ummmm....agents to assist her in a matter of setting up a home defense systems at her manor." He smirks, "I would do it myself, but I have other obligations and I just don't want to."

"Let me put the scroll down first, sheesh, you gnomes are impatient"
Cirri Merryweather |
"Wait, it's view only? What have I been writing on?" Cirri looks at the document she's been scribbling on, reads the title, and her face turns bright red before she furiously crosses her name out. "I definitely don't need that kind of... entertainment. Um, this is the sign up sheet, right?"
Pai Shecks |
A bright, peach-colored gnome with a shock of short orange hair strides into the lodge. She glances around, spotting the board of job postings. After pausing in the middle of the room to consider, she turns sharply and marches to the bar to order a fruity drink, enthusiastically saying "Hello!" to everyone who makes eye contact with her along the way. Drink in hand, she meanders over to the board to peruse the opportunities, greeting each and every person along the way.
She seems to be amused when people don't enjoy her greetings, and chuckles quietly to herself.
Level 1 kineticist fresh off her first adventure and ready for more!
Lynn Kuro |
A familiar face entered the Lodge, well familiar to some. The tanned woman had a completely different outfit instead of her old bright flower patterned dress. She now wore tall blackened leather boots, with dark-tan leather breeches. A plain white blouse tightened at the stomach with a black corset and a short overcoat with the front open. Her hair was pulled back and braided, around her neck was her usual assortment of charms. Adorning her hip was her faithful rapier and opposite of it was a shiny new pistol slung in the belt, her belt pouches just behind it. Of course the whole set was still accommodating to the backpack stuffed with supplies and books. She held herself tall finally feeling like an actual adventurer and looking it too.
She strode in and approached Heria, "Ah good to see you made it back here to the lodge safely. Took a few detours myself... mostly the market. Any word from the others?"
disguise: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34
Drexel Santangelo |
A tall, dark-haired, well-dressed Taldane human enters the Lodge, his falcata hanging at his side and his kite shield peaking over his back.
"Well met, compatriots, says he, in a clear and almost musical voice, with only the slightest of Galtan accents, "I am Drexel Santangelo, a Pathfinder like yourselves, though today serving as merely a messenger. The exquisite Glorianna Morilla seeks adventurers for a quest in Thuvia. All are welcome. I believe you know where to find her."
He turns to go, and the symbol of the Sovereign Court is clearly emblazoned on his shield.
Tiny fox |
A voice speaks to Drexel's mind.
You have been chosen for a great adventure into Numeria and beyond. A group of people needs your skills. Follow the fox.
Said fox then conveniently passes by, looking up briefly.
