Necromagnetism wrote:It looks like I might have made a mistake on my first character. I chose a ratfolk as my race because I say that both Bestiary 3 and Advanced Race Guide were listed under additional resources, but I missed that you need something called "Chronicle Sheet" and I am having some difficulty figuring out what that is. Have I made a character that is not legal for play by mistake? This is your first PFS character and you have invested time so I really want you to enjoy that. :-)
I still have a ratfolk boon that I can give you as a gift. Send me your email address and PFS number and I’ll send you the boon you need.
Have fun!
You rock, Nowruz!

Really no big deal.
I am glad that we have new PFS1 PbP players!! :-)
Necromagnetism and I just had our exchange via PM and I remembered that you also get a boon for your first PFS1 character with several options.
Does anyone know the link to this boon and can post it here for Necromagnetism?
Thanks and all the best,
noral / GM Nowruz

I think it might be the first character you PLAY because my local lodge had me assign it to my -2 character the first time I played, but maybe that was a mistake?
The language on the boon is as follows:
Initiate's Edge: Golarion can be a dangerous place, and the Pathfinder Society takes care to equip its newest recruits. You can apply one of the following benefits to your first character (XXXXXX–1); cross out the other two options. The first time you serve as a game master for a Pathfinder Society game and apply the credit to this character, you may double your maximum number of uses for the selected benefit.
Emphasis added

I'll second that.
I'm still grateful to those who provided me with an extra Starfinder racial boon when I needed one after my aasimar met with an 'unfortunate accident' owing to sheer bad luck.
Thank you again.

Someone at my table just asked to be removed because they dropped the game but it is still active on their page. How do you do that?

Go to the Campaign Info tab on your campaign, click "Edit This Campaign" in the top right corner, and at the bottom of the page you'll see a list of players and characters. Remove the tick against "active". That's it.

Moving this out of Recruitment. Should've moved it the first time I responded; sorry about that. This is the discussion about scribing spells for an extra 50% above the scribe cost instead of buying a scroll first.
FAQ on the topic should resolve any questions one might still have.
Unfortunately, that FAQ answer leaves me with questions! As it's written there, it says you can pay that 50% fee "in the rare instance of a wizard charging a fee for the privilege of copying spells from their spellbooks." emphasis added
"Rare instance" makes me think it's not a general rule that you can copy from some Grand Lodge library. But--in PFS--when does that "rare instance" occur?

I’m not sure what FAQ you looked at, but this one is specific to Organized Play and says the cost to copy from an NPC is an additional 50%. Just above that is one talking about using a scroll to learn a spell.
There are NPCs that are willing to allow you to learn spells from them. They all charge the same. Nothing says they all exist in the grand lodge either, any big city is likely to have several NPC spellcasters.

For those of us who don't use Warhorn a whole heap...
How do we find PBPost games, rather than VTT ones?

![]() |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Yup, the easiest way to find the PbP games:
PbP Games will be right at the top of the page and you will be able to easily see how many free spaces are still available for each table.

Yes, you register through Warhorn and pay $25 (through PayPal ONLY!) to gain access to sign up for... I'm not sure how many slots are the limit. But there is no additional fee per game.

Khouri has it right on where to find games for Warhorn. Also here is the link to the PaizoCon Online 2021 Blog Post as you will want to join the PaizoCon discord server. That is where you will find all of the current information. The link to the discord is in the blog.

@GM Tyranius: At your leisure, could I get your input on something from a Seeker Module I'm running? I can't find a definitive ruling (I may just not know where to look) and would appreciate any insight you might have:

I now have two copies of the GM Boon 2020 #1.
Is there a #2?
If so, how do you get it?
Looking back at the emails quick you received one of those during this current Outpost IV Con and the second copy from Gameday IX last fall. That is the reason you have two copies.
As of right now that is the GM boon sent out way for Tier 1 Cons (75+ Tables).

![]() |

GMs didn't have an option to roll anything for Outpost.
GM's will automatically get a GM boon for running a game during the Convention, but they can also roll off for a Player Boon as well, which is what Watery Soup is referring to..

I have a question for Organized Play leadership about running an AP in Campaign Mode for PFS credit:
Do all players need to receive credit? If only one player wants credit for the game, can the sessions be submitted with only one player's information, or do the other players need to get PFS numbers and be on the submission form too (even if they don't want the credit and never intend to play PFS again)?

Watery Soup |

What I would do is go to your GM event coordinator tab on your organised play account settings down load 10 character cards assign the first few to your non credit wanting friends and use those numbers for the reporting. Letting them know if they change their minds you will issue a chronicle
It's possible some of the reluctance to accept PFS credit is that they already have numbers from the distant past and don't want to bother finding them.
I don't know what the policy is on assigning a new number to someone who already has one.

Indeed I have assigned chronicles with just 1-2 people from an AP wanting them. Some people just want to play an AP and don't participate in Organized Play.

Purple Dragon Knight wrote:When reporting, do you need a minimum of 3 players though? That is the case for a standard PFS scenario. I believe there are different rules for playing an AP in 'Campaign Mode'.
Actually, this was changed in a blog. For a regular scenario, you only need 2 players. I don't have a link to the blog post in front of me, but hopefully someone else can post it.

It's in the Guide to OP under Legal Table Size:
Adventures with a Minimum level of 5 or lower.
For these adventures, the GM can run a table of two or three players, and can add additional appropriately leveled pregenerated iconic characters in order to meet the minimum table size of four PCs.

Hey y'all, I need some help figuring out how to report my PFS run of Gallows of madness Part 2 what lurks in the woods. My players have come to the almost end of the run and I still have not figured out how to report the game. I think I can get the chronicles together, but I have never reported a PFS game either face to face or PBP. I have always had others report them on their event codes when I GM'd. Now I need to figure this last bit out and fast.
Is there some guide in the GM tools that explains how to get the event number and how to report the game? I think I tried setting up an event a few years ago and got stuck in the format. Can anyone help me set all this stuff up?
Thanks, I have faith someone can point me in the right direction.

If you recruited your players online you can just go to this site and click report - the nice OSP people will log that game for you.
If you want to do it directly on the Paizo website, you'll have to create a PFS event first by going here and clicking the 'create an event' button. If you have problems reporting after you reach this website, contact the Paizo Customer Service: these guys are great.

Wydroe- I am in the works of trying to gather all of our great Lodges important information into one space to help pass along information. Please refer to the link below. Slide 2 has a link labeled as Create a PbP and reporting a game. You should find the information you seek in tat link. Let me know if you need more help as this is a work in progress.
