Currently, as of the PFSRPGG, 'evergreen' scenarios/modules in the 1-2 bracket may be played *once* by a player with a L2 character, but unlimited times by a L1 character.
Correct...
This is an important distinction between SFS and PFS, as SFS 'evergeens' (save for L1 Quests, as of last I heard) are 'evergreen' for both L1 and L2 From my understanding
A bit off, as most quest series and Master of the Fallen Fortress are for level one characters only.
The exception to this is House of Harmonious Wisdom, which can be played once at a level higher than level one, but infinitely on level one.
If the character has already played the module, alas, you are out of luck, as you are also out of luck if you've ever played a 2nd level character in the module.
If I have made any Gross Conceptual Errors, clarification is requested.
It was mostly solid!
I wish that evergreeens were replayable on all tiers. It would simplify bookkeeping. But for now, replayable on level one is the rule for the low level evergreens.
Hmm
PS I am now off at a convention this weekend. Please address all questions to Redelia, Magabeus and Chris Marsh.

You could...but it’s not generally a good idea to.

Is there a way to bookmark or otherwise save specific posts within a PbP game? I'm noticing that when a game takes weeks or months to unfold, I often find myself wanting to quickly find an old piece of information (maybe something from the mission briefing, or a background Knowledge check that we made early on) and am not finding any way to do that other than just wading back through the old posts. There's gotta be a better way, right?

Abraham Z. |

You can Favorite them with the plus in the right corner which will put them in your Favorites on your profile
or
You could copy the link from the timestamp in the top right as well.
Thanks for these suggestions. If you favorite them, is there any easy way to see only the favorites from within a particular thread? That is, to see only those favorites from a particular scenario's gameplay thread, and not jumbled together with all the other favorites I may have clicked at one point or another elsewhere on paizo.com?

I have a strong suspicion that some players won't fully remember everything they signed up for even if they dotted the gameplay thread.
Particularly attentive GMs may want to message the players a couple of days before game start. If they don't log in for 2 days or ignore your message that is a separate problem.

I was looking at the Solstice Scar B part 1 sign up sheets and realized there is an opening on the 1-2 table on RPG geek and there are people on the waitlist. If the next person doesn't want to play there, I could move Angela here form the Paizo forums table to that table and open the space to someone else, (I discovered that I made an account there ages ago and it's still useable). However, I doubt what that table needs is another int and skills heavy character.

If you hop over there you get to replay the scenario with Ridley, who was with you on your first play through.

I’m currently in the process of talking to the people on the wait list with a character of appropriate tier to see if they want this spot.

Okay! Let me know if someting gets decided, and I really do not mind changing tables at all, but I wasn't certain if it'd be good to do with out warning.

Can you just recruit people for a game here?
Hi there, this is the hottest spot to look for games and recruit for PFS ala PBP! Mostly done in the recruitment tab though.
You might have noticed lots of roll calls recently, this is due to the Outpost special (link at top) that's about to start where GMs and PCs have pre-signed up in anticipation.

Could somebody please remind me where to go and what to do to start up a game thread? I've done it a few times before, but I'm not feeling confident I won't forget something important.

GM Chyro |

Go to online campaigns, then select Play by Post from the upper left.
In that screen, select Add new Thread.
You've got yourself a new gameplay thread, to add everything to. :)

A non sequitur question, if I may:
Has anyone else around here made, for want of a better word, 'enemies' (or at least people who've decided they don't like you even after you've attempted to reconcile) on this site?
It should go without saying that I'm not asking for name-naming, but it might feel better for some reason if I knew I wasn't alone in that. Means it's not a terribly big deal.

GM Ladile |

Not everyone's personalities or play styles are compatible. As long as at least one (or preferably both) parties can realize this and handle it in a mature manner (aka agree to disagree or reach the decision to not sit at the same table) then it shouldn't have to be a big deal.

![]() |

Note that I said "this site", not "the Flaxseed Lodge" - while I have had a few confrontations here, none of them got too big or went unresolved. The really nasty issues I've been saddled with have been born out of interactions elsewhere on the site. I can think of one or two people I've determined I myself I don't like, but just as often it's been frustrating misunderstandings with people who decided they'd rather decide I'm someone I'm not just because I don't think/speak/behave the way they think I should than meet my attempts at reconciliation halfway.

![]() |
I have had people who just hates me outright so I'd say you're not alone.

GM Andrew |

Not everyone meshes. As a VO, one learns this lesson several times over.
I feel personally it's way easier to self-manage in an online setting.
But if you want to know if you're not alone in that... I can tell you that you are far from alone. And that's not just limited to an online setting. This isn't something unique to Organized Play, man. It permeates everything in life. ;)

GM Hmm |

Heh. We all get people that we cannot groove with, one way or another. Incompatible mind sets happen. It happens to everyone, including me.

Everybody will run into personalities they don't get along with, but I don't ban people from my tables unless they have harmed another player. Racism, sexism, insinuations of violence will get the boot though I have never had to to do it thankfully.
This next part applies to me people can take it or leave it as they please.
Dealing with people you don't get along with, to me, is an aquired skill and not always a function of the other person. Daryl Davis is my model for this behaviour. He collected 200 Klan hood by talking with people. Yes there are people who are frustrating but it's a game and if I start getting mad here I diminish my capacity for compassion where it really matters.

I've heard about that guy! Didn't know his name. Yeah, that guy's a true hero. He's out there working the very miracles that all the well-meaning Twitter mobs and pseudoexperts would have us believe are impossible. We need more people talking about HIM!

*Pulls out apple box*
Following along with TOZ, GM Hmm & GM Andrew. I can speak from a very recent VO situation I had to handle with my local store/Society Nights. We have a player who is, for lack of any other way to say it, Extreme Murder Hobo type player. Many of my other players did not like when he played because of this and felt that they could not enjoy themselves. I was able to mediate enough as both Table GM and also the VO. I was able to lead his character along, a la 'Kronk' shoulder devil/angel, in a way that keep the game flowing and brought a bit of levity to the game as well so all still were able to enjoy themselves while accomplishing the Scenario successes.
When he first started playing he and I did not get along so well because of his play style, but through conversation and play we, I say we because as a group we worked together to, accomplish creating an enjoyable environment for all to come and play, this I believe was one of the reasons I have experiences an immense growth in player base making it necessary to have a second table most Society nights.
Like Grandlounge above I have yet to ban anyone from my tables/store as of yet, knock on wood, but if it comes to an unmanageable level I will approach away from game and warn before a ban becomes an action.
IHIYC do not fear you are the only one, we are all here for each other and hopefully this can help us worker together to make our community prosper and enjoyable for all.

On another side note, I officially received my scenario for Outpost this morning! Fingers crossed that I am not alone in this. Time to start reading.

I've butt heads before, certainly. I had one recently in the online setting where there was a disagreement over how I was running a scenario. But I didn't want it to end on a bad note, so while he opted to leave the game I talked to him for a while in PMs, and we ended on amiable terms. And he wound up giving me some tips on getting used to running in online mode, and how to run/present/manage things to improve the experience.
Helped me see a few places where I wasn't doing things on here that I normally do at live tables just because I wasn't converting to the medium well, and now hopefully I'll run games better in the future.
So sometimes you can even turn those situations into positives.
