The Battle at Dumai Wells is a total disaster. The asha'man suffer defeat at the hands of the Shaido and Tar Valon emmisaries. The Dragon is brought to Tar Valon.
I have played everything from 2nd through 5th. 20th anniversary is my favorite so far.
I am not a fan of the execution of the video game.
Which video game? I thought the recent one was great. Good story, near-perfect mechanics, decent graphics. Like playing through a real series of runs, just on a computer. It helped a lot that Jordan Weisman came back to design the game. Why didn't you like it?

I am referring to the recent Shadowrun Returns. The Shaman class felt entirely too railroad-ey in the character creation options. I did not try the other characters after that.

That would be fun, but man oh man would it be hard to find the time, or even to find a time to pull that off, even once. I for one play PbP exactly because I find it so difficult to have a consistent time in my life where I can play a live game. Others are probably in similar situations. With this many people, who were not aware that live play would be an issue, and may be in time zones across the world, I bet finding a time that would work would be all but impossible.
Don't get me wrong, I'd be up for it as a one off, if such a time could be arranged, but I'd be skeptical it would be possible.

true. it would be difficult to find a time that everyone can link up for a one time live play, but its not possible.
if i can help set up teleconferences that link up mexico, wisconsin, iowa, switzerland, and germany, this should be just the same, only with gaming.
we just need to settle upon a date and then figure out the time.
so first step would be the date. I think first weekend of october, the 3rd or 4th would be a good place to start. its far enough out that unless you have a birthday/wedding/planned birth it should be open.
Yeah, I definitely can't play live. Sorry about being away for so long, but work blew up and I'm stretching to make a Friday deadline. I should be back to normal after Friday but I'm going to the beach for a week the week after next.

Well, in any case, I'm glad I didn't run up to her to nuke that tentacle with my sword when Alathea told me to kill the thing as soon as it was off Merdrith.

Yeah, this is one of the few times I have actually been a little grossed out because of an in game description. Well done, Rizzen. Ewww.
EDIT:
And I am so totally using this idea in the game I am running in RL. If you don't mind that is. >:D
hp 33/44(with original constitution 68/77), weaves remaining 5/3/4/4/4/1/1
Uh oh, it looks like Alathea's in trouble with Analin. Using a forbidden weave in front of a full Sister...but considering the only other offensive weave she knows is fireball, she had to do something that wouldn't blow herself up as well.
Pff. Analin doesn't care. They're all weapons against the Dark One. Assuming Merdrith lives, Analin will just let Merdrith do all the disapproving of forbidden weaves while Analin watches and goes 'hmmm...' :)

Man, if Amorial is really dead that will be a major bummer. He was the last of the original characters in the game (Rhoekk having joined a touch after the true beginning).
Rhoekk is going to be pissed too. Amorial was his friend, as well as his comrade. Beyond that, he was the only other one remaining of the party charged with finding the Grey Man. Rhoekk will now have to continue that eyes on his own, without the benifit of Amorial's scholarship and knowledge.

Don't worry, ALL of the books are in his pockets, the puzzle is almost solved. Just don't forget to grab the big guys jacket before you head back to the portal! :-)

No disputing that! But Amorial will rest better knowing he aided in a final solution. Sad to see him go but I should have re-rolled again, still when you miss a roll twice you almost seem destined to have that happen to you!

What will you roll up to succeed him? We have a plethora of channellers and blademasters; if you were to play one of them, I'd recommend an Asha'man, as to to avoid getting caught up in the near-constant cat-fights. Otherwise, something that avoided those two areas would be cool. I had been thinking that if Rhoekk were to bite it, a dedicated archer might be useful. Another Algai'd'siswai would be in good company. Something Rogue based would fill a missing niche to a degree as well.
Sorry for silence yesterday, when I went to post in the morning, the site was down, and the afternoon - well, let's just say my life is very busy this weekend.
In related news, I am getting married this afternoon, and going on my honeymoon next week. While we are going someplace I will still have cell service, and I will try to post, feel free to DMPC me as needed.

Thanks everyone, perhaps an alternate Timeline Amorial will pop up again! :-)
In the meantime I am working on my new character a bit of martial mixed with One Power. I was seriously considering a Gleeman but as Amorial had those skills it would be too much like playing him again but as a Human.

Sad farewell, Amorial. Your knowledge will be sorely missed.
