True to her word, Cindra steps into the elementary cafeteria and spots Phaedra after a few moments. Seeing the girl sitting with some friends, she tries to discreetly catch Phaedra's eye but remains unnoticed, as usual. I will not have her thinking I don't keep my promises.
With a sigh Cindra heads over to Phadra's table, coming to a stop beside the girl and speaking with a bright smile on her face, "Hi, Phaedra! How are you this morning?"
Phaedra stopped eating and jumped up to give Cindra a big hug. "Cindra! You did come to see me! Oh, I'm so happy to see you!"
"Er, this is Lang. He's one of my classmates. Lang, this is my cousin Cindra," she said, remembering her manners and dutifully introducing them.
Lang stands and bows Pleased to meet you.
motioning toward Sun, This is Sun, he is my mentor in this school.
"Too much physical fitness is kind of what got me into trouble this morning. When I was locked up, I used to climb up to the only window so I could watch. One of the times that I climbed up there I saw some entertainers performing in the square. They could do all sorts of things, but my favorite were the acrobats. I've been practicing ever since. Especially when I feel lonely. I practiced too much last night. Usually just falling through the floor doesn't use up so much energy that I need the infirmary, but I guess with all the energy I used during practice last night...."
"You need to perform some different exercises, then - ones specifically designed to build your body's endurance, in balance with your firebird metabolism. Our physical education instructors have had to learn quickly, given the influx of new firebird students, but I think we can find you the right balance of routines."
"Well, anyways, meditation, huh? I'm supposed to start taking that. Professor Shiro thinks it might help me learn how to control my powers. I guess it's multi-purpose."
"Del Sol...that sounds familiar....Oh! I know! That was the name of the girl Embre was supposed to marry, but she ran off and married someone else! He was so mad. I thought she must be pretty smart running away from him like that. I wished I could have too. That was definitely the worst time. I guess that if they just had to deal with that kind of stuff, probably I shouldn't go trying to talk to them today, but it's a good suggestion. I mean, how can I not trust someone my family hates?"
She bit her lip, and frowned as she circled around to the problem at the heart of things again. "So, what you're saying is that I need to stop generalizing? That's what you mean right? Judging individuals by the actions of groups and all that? But....I'm scared. I'm scared of trusting the wrong person. I'm scared of having anything to do with my own kind. I'm scared of being hurt again after I worked so hard to escape that," she said, gazing at her feet, unable to bring herself to look up.
"Trust is never an easy thing in the best of times. When you are comfortable doing so, starting with the del Sols would be your first logical step down that path. It will get easier from there." (^-^)

Arthur frowns "sometimes I think your safety protocols are two severe. With something as overriding as the three laws on it that could hide something in their original programing... I think i'll try the cafeteria today, see what it is everyone without their own personal butler eats" he grins at his robot friend
"I simply added them to the front of its directives branch. The original coding should still be present, save for the circumstance in which it is programed to erase certain code after having it's code manipulated."
The small LED screen on Hermes mouth and eyes displays a smiley face with upturned eyes as his facial recognition software reads Arthur's grin. Arthur doesn't remember telling him to do that.
In his same monotone voice, conflicting slightly with the happy visage, he replies.
"Statistically speaking, it is of mostly the same components as meals I would provide, but with incorrect portion and nutrition ratios."
Arthur briefly wonders what prompted the LED display to change before he is inturupted by his stomach growling "Let's head to the cafeteria"
"Don't mention it""Uh. Ok, I won't."

"Nope. I told you I wasn't going to do that to you and I meant it. You are your own person and you can decide how to use your own powers. No magical compulsions. Not from me anyway," she said emphatically. "I'm sure I can scrounge up something from the boys' old room. Jiminy had all kinds of stuff designed for hiding things. No way he took all of them. Plus I need to stop at my room anyways to get my allowance money so I can actually pay for stuff," she added with a shrug.
He shrugs, which by the way only includes his top set of limbs. "That's fair, but I know and trust you enough not to abuse it. Just in case it comes up, I can respond to that faster in an emergency. Sometimes acting fast is important. Consider me totally willing if you ever need to use it to save my life or yours."
He chuckles as he spins up a small, self contained whirlwind to deliver his trays to the clean up line.
"I'm probably gonna have to sell some stuff for coins. I have no idea if they'll take whatever pennies are in my couch in 'Empire Land.' It's all stuff I took from previous owners anyways. Request number three and 'poof' I'm gone and so's the bottle. Who can stop me if I grab a jewel encrusted gravy boat on my way out? Call it severance pay."

Ardiente spent the night outside of Rae's infirmary room, as he was worried some other attack might happen. But also, because he didn't want to be that far away from his girlfriend. He had failed her once already, and he was damned if he would do so again, if he could help it.
Thus, he was there when Sorchan came to pick his daughter up, and offered to accompany them back to their 'house'.

We'll have to go off world probably with how the city got attacked. I may know some places."
He holds up a finished suit for Dave.
He turns around and covers his eyes, not so much out of modesty, but more to be surprised as to how it looks on him.
"We could get breakfast out for a change, if you want. See if we can find anything cool."
"I'm not really in the mood to be watching things and filling out paperwork so that narrows the possibilities a bit. You got any ideas for breakfast out?"

Having finished both the pancakes and the bacon, she starts searching through the containers for something else she likes and ends up pulling out some fruit salad with a sigh. It was better than veggies, but only just.
"Alright, I guess I can make an exception in a life or death situation since you say it's alright. But I still think of it as a last resort.""Well, I usually just pay for things in gems myself. Because that's how I get my allowance, courtesy of grandma. They take gems anywhere. But yeah, I'm sure we can find some kind of shop to sell valuable oddities."
She made a face. "Ugh. Fruit salad is bad enough, but why did they have to put in cantaloupe? It tastes so bad. Why can't they just stick to nice fruits like strawberries?"

Ginni paused from inhaling her giant pile of sugar long enough to wave back to the new girl. "Hi. I'm Ginni. This is Ace. I don't think I've seen you around before," she said, with a friendly smile towards Jessa.
Still kind of out of it, but a more alert with the influx of sugar and caffeine, Jessa looks back over at them, "Nah, I am new. Only been here a few days. I like the food, though. Its way better than before. And a room to myself where no one .. anyway, a room to myself is pretty nice too!" Blushing a bit, Jessa turns back to her food.
Tybs laughs in his middle alto voice and keeps his paws over his eyes.
"I meant buying your watch for the spell casing, doofus," he responds in an amused tone. "C'mon, can I see yet? I wanna see how you look!"
"As far as breakfast goes... It's like 8:30 here, so in New New York it's... Nine twenty... Seven? And there's a cute little cafe there that does coffee and pastries. And if we tell them it's your birthday you can ask them to make you this one thing and it literally finds your favorite flavor based on your DNA and tastes like that."
His tail is flicking back and forth in an excited way that makes his hips move slightly with it every time.

Sorry, I didn't catch your name," Ginni said, attempting to be friendly in between stuffing her face with sugar. The waffle has been devastated and now she's trying to eat a cinnamon roll and a chocolate croissant at the same time with less than stellar results. She has a large smear of frosting across her nose.
Ace, in the midst of trying not to laugh at his girlfriend, reaches over and swipes the frosting off her nose. "Ya know, it might be a bit easier if you alternated roll and croissant." He says with a big grin, licking the chocolate off his finger.
He nods to Jessa "Well, welcome to Avalon, and you're right, a room by yourself is awesome! I'm glad I was able to one alone." He says with a knowing glance at Ginni.
"Alright, I guess I can make an exception in a life or death situation since you say it's alright. But I still think of it as a last resort."
"Well, I usually just pay for things in gems myself. Because that's how I get my allowance, courtesy of grandma. They take gems anywhere. But yeah, I'm sure we can find some kind of shop to sell valuable oddities."

Dave looks somewhat horrified "I don't think I want my DNA on their records"
"Yes sir."
Hermes steps up to the door and holds it open for Arthur.

Tybalt is still waiting for the go ahead to turn around, so he doesn't see the look of distaste, but can still hear it in Dave's voice.
"It's not like a scanner or anything. It's just what the stuff is made of. It kinda looks like a little cube of white icing. But it still tastes like whatever you like the most. You don't have to get it if it weirds you out. Everything else there is still really good."
"Yes Sir. The most likely issue is not that they pose a threat, but that they may have some subroutine they will carry out while unobserved."
Nonetheless he still holds the door.
The young monk waits patiently outside of the Del Sols apartments, and once invited in, almost immediately senses the somber mood. He stays quiet, not wanting to press whatever might be going on.

So the lack of roommate is mostly because of the puppy," she said with a wink.

Dave might be a tad paranoid. He adjusts himself in the suit. He thought he looked fairly dashing "you can look, but yeah I would prefer maybe somewhere else..."

Jessa looks up from her bowl of steel cut oats piled with berries and honey, "Sorry, not at my best in the morning; she keeps trying to take over when I sleep so I don't sleep well. My name is Jessa. I have had a few classes, P.E. and some obnoxious lady who keeps telling me to meditate. How just sitting on a cushion on the ground is supposed to help I cannot fathom, but she insists it will. I don't have any other options, so I just play along and try the game by the rules they have given me."
Then some of what Ginni and Ace have been hinting at seeps through the morning fog in her brain and she colors again, "I have a single room because I am not safe for people to be around when I am sleeping. She would love to Ruin all of this." Jessa turns her attention back to her breakfast. She mumbles quietly, "And being around so many people my own age is weird."
Korren comes into the cafeteria, his face stony and his expression set. Mean-spirited laughter follows him in as he heads over to the serving lines, his eight legs clicking on the floor. He gets his food with as few words as possible, then retreats with it to a table with no one nearby.

He flicks his perpetually wavy hair while holding all four of his hands up at right angles like a frame around his face.
"Essential for survival, ya know."
He chuckles and puts his hands back down.
Grim gets up with a smile "well, we could go to the cafeteria, or we could go out to look for something to hunt!

Tybs turns around and looks Dave over, smiling at his handiwork. "Awesome. It fits you great." He levitates in a lazy circle around the aasimar, straightening things, finishing with adjusting his tie just a bit.
"Hmm... Ahkaten market doesn't take coins... We could go toooo... No, it's afternoon there... Oh! Planet Midnight. I don't know why it's called that. But it's super gorgeous. The whole planet is made of diamond, but the sun makes tons of radiation, so you can't go out on the surface. The whole place is like a huge resort built over it, and it's seven fifty three there. There's cafes there where everything is served in anti gravity and it's all floaty. Like me, but for food..." He thinks for a second. "Ok, that came out kinda weird, but you get what I'm saying."
Grim nods and pulls out his scythe. The eyeball on it glances at Vriskra "ok cool, so how do you hunt!"

Serrin spent a lot of the night in deep meditation, contemplating the conversation/lecture she had with Umbra. There was a lot to think about, including that she should probably tone down her 'prickly' personality.
So it was that she begrudgingly got up early Saturday morning, when she would much rather sleep in, and trekked down to the cafeteria, wearing blue pants with black stars and a black 'I hate mornings' shirt.
