The tour went past several classrooms before stopping briefly at the cafeteria.
"And this is the cafeteria. Food is provided to all students and staff so you don't have to worry about paying for food. Firebird food is kept on that section over there. For the rest of you, that skull and crossbones symbol over a flame means don't eat it. Our food is even more poisonous to you than yours is to us. For some reason non-firebirds can't seem to digest delicious things like butane and only eat water based food."
"Now, if you would like a brief tour of the grounds we can step outside for a moment. The grounds are quite large so we will only see a small fraction of them. Jessa Mar'Niell |

::Doors work two ways, Jessa. If you continue to attack me I will show you exactly why there is nothing you can do to hurt me. You think that you are so powerful and malevolent, but you're just a frightened little girl lashing out at the universe. And that I know a little too much about,:: she warned, examining the cracks in Jessa's psyche. It would be dangerous to push her too far, but it might be the only real chance to save her.
There are no words, but what Jessa shows Nala is the pain and horror of finding that the only friends she has ever known have been reduced to some kind of living death. They aren't completely gone, but neither do they really live. Having no other friends, no other family, and no one else in the galaxy, her rage, grief, and pain is too much for Nala's words to touch. It is the mindless, wailing pain of a baby who knows not why she hurts, and simply strikes out at the one who she perceives as the cause of her pain.
All that rage, pain, and grief comes thundering down on the part of Nala's consciousness that is inside Jessa's mind, threatening to crush her into oblivion.
She is essentially manifesting Psychic Crush. Will save DC 21. When Nala saves, she takes 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6) = 13 damage. If she somehow fails, she is reduced to 50% of her HP total and is ejected from Jessa's mind.

"Ace" |

Ace smiles at Aananda's words of thanks "You're welcome Professor. Still not sure how I ended up here, as I was sitting in my Botany clsss, but it would appear this is where I was needed most." He seems a little confused, but brushes it off, as Vai's well being was more important than him being randomly teleported around the school. "Vai's been a good friend to me, so if you need my assistance at any time to help get her well again, let me know and I'll do whatever I can"

Reed Plainsong |

Reed starts to stand when he realizes it's time for class to begin, "Lets head out now, we're needed inside," he says to his tiger, "I know, I know, it is a beautiful day, but we must be taught." He takes a long look around before smiling and turning to head inside.

Nala can't fail that save with her Luck bonus to saves.
A tiny trickle of blood drips down from Nala's nose, but still she doesn't move, her fingertips lightly resting on Jessa's temples and a serene expression on her face.
::Enough, Jessa. They weren't your friends. Not really. They were just hungry insects, and when they were done killing every living thing they would have died and you would have been truly alone. Forever. You were always doomed to grieve for them. It's time to move forward. Change your fate, Jessa. You are stronger than you know. Not this part that you think is strong. She's so much weaker than you are. The real Jessa is strong though. All you have to do is reach out and take your mind back. It's always been yours to claim. Hurt and rage aren't the most powerful things about you.::
The girl's mind was so far gone. Healing this insanity might be beyond her skill. Perhaps she did need to ask Phaezeriel for help. She saw so much of herself in this girl, but she had never lost connection with reality as Jessa had.

In front of Reed and his Tiger A tree shakes as out of it, some 70' up a dog like Mecha comes down. Its powerful legs take the impact of the landing and its halts stopping dead. Then the back of of it pops open and a human woman can be seen in a Pilot like cockpit.
"Sorry about that, meant to miss that branch, hope I did not upset you. O wow what race are you? Loving the horns"

He sprawls out on the ground, laughing weakly at their success.
"Good job Doctor Mel..."
He stays silent for a moment.
"I'm not gonna glow from that stuff, am I?"
He asks, somewhat bemused and somewhat actually wondering what he just volunteered to be subjected to.
If anyone looks at the bar, there are actually claw marks in it.
What kind of super senses are people rocking right now?

Shoshin the Fox |

Shoshin looks back away from the group, shaking his head after Halo runs off while muttering something along the lines of "crazy girl, barely a few minutes and she's defying her own rule" he falls back next to his roommate after hearing Sorchan go on about how dangerous it is to go off alone.
"Don't look now but our little friend and robo-dog just went for a stroll" he mutters to Iolth, flicking his gaze back to where Halo had gone.

Tybalt Baneko |

"Heh. I just switched to intro to healing this morning. Does this count as credit? Heh."
He draws the crook hanging from his shirt collar and it extends into a cane, which he gets to his feet on, leaning on it heavily.
"Thanks for helping me, Casil..." he offers, not entirely sure what else to say. This was a beginning, but it was still only a single instance compared to the things he had done to him before now.

Melody Waverider |

Mel simply smiles, accepting any thanks that come her way.
she begins cleaning up everything. and trying to put everything she can back in order.
as she gathers the conducting rod, Tybs, you did great, and Ace, you to, you both have taken the first step on a long difficult road. I have faith you won't give up on the challenge ahead of you both.
she resumes cleaning. stopping to take a look at Vai. knowing her avoidance to contact, Mel respects that, even as she rests. instead Mel pulls out the sonic for a quick bio scan of Vai. ensuring that she in fact getting better.
confident that she is doing better. Tybs you should rest. and I probably have a class I should be getting to.

Iolth Taknith |

"Your friend there seems reckless. Maybe even more reckless than me." An impsish grin creeps across Iolth's face. "But somehow, I doubt that." With what sounds like a primeval word of pure magic is spoken behind you, the illusionary Iolth vanishes, cackling madly, and the real Iolth scops you up with surprising strength, unfurls his wings, and takes to the air...
Releasing Shoshin-who suddenly finds that he can float in the air-Iolth grins and says "Wanna go for a fly, Fantastic Mr. Fox?"

Damiani |

Cultist City Assault
With the addition of seven more 'things' to the mix, there's quite an odd stink in the air, not to mention noises and various other things-- but, all in all, chaos is afoot, awing and all that.
Jeran
Making another assault upon the Ichor Caster, Jeran tears, trip and the like, rending the one fellow completely to pieces. He drops not quite being made of the stern stuff to stop such.
The flunkies, though, seem to realize the futility of their actions, and apparently, do not care enough about the chamber, to actually stay and fight.
Of those remaining, numerous spells occur, one twists a wrist band, and another reaches out to touch the dead Ichor Caster, and promptly vanish, leaving the three that /were/ focusing on the open gate, which had two massive claws holding it such, to pause in their focus.
Glancing at one another, it appears as if one was going to flee, but from the Gate, an arm that fills the entire Gate, and a good portion of the room reaches in, gripping two of the three, and squeezes, popping them like grapes and spewing blood all over.
Casseus
The summoned spell from before does in fact summon more 'demon' things, but they aren't in fact real demons, just summoned creatures of strength that look it. These meet up with the pets of Casseus and start sparing nicely.
Once Cassesus summons cohorts, the Armored Caster seems to reconsider the situation, from beneath his flesh plate mask, and barks out a few harsh sounds, for his flunkies to react too, ignoring what else was going on in the room.
This causes the flunkies around him to stop what they were doing before, and as an organized group, they all vanish away in a swirl of darkness, taking along the dead man who's head got blown off. Regrouping, perhaps, or fleeing, it's not clear from where Casseus stands in the middle of the room, the foes from before are gone.
Vickory
Activating her Fly spell, then taking to some height, she can certainly shape the upper portions of the column easier, but it's becoming clear that combat might be at an end soon, most of the cultists are either dead, sucked into an open Gate, or fled.
-----
The swirling mist and shadows do take shape, in one fashion or another, appearing as shadowy apparitions where the torches do not touch, creatures quasi-present to the Prime Plane, but not fully here. With wanton fury, though, there are some five of these, and they rush at the visible target, apparently ignoring Casseus and his friends, out of respect or not considering him a target, slashing at Jeran after flying up close with claws.
These five things, however, cannot be Scent detected, and given how easily they blend into and out of shadows nearby, the chamber full of such, they could easily vanish from sight.
The 'mist' that was in the room seems to settle onto the ground, and the foul presence of the Abyss permeates the area now. Corruption oozes from the two remaining Gates, one with a claw still holding onto it.
-----
So effectively all the Gate 'teams' at this point have fled/retreated elsewhere. Only two Gates are still 'open' and one had this huge hand that came through to crush a few of the flunkies, leaving one behind, terrified. Number of potential targets dropped considerably. The Gates appear to both open to different locations, but any savvy person with Planar Lore would realize it's Abyssal looking beyond the Gate.

He frowns a little before beginning to channel energy into the tree to heal it, "Do try to be careful next time." He looks over at her, "What an interesting mount you have, what is it exactly?"
Halo looks on as he works then when she's ask about Toby.
"He's a decommissioned Combat mecha, so right now he's my transport and kind of body guard, he's not that decommissioned. So a minotaur, like in the old story's, half bull half man kind of thing. O and sorry about the tree, that was my mistake not Toby's here. So you one of the ground... Holy frogs is that a real tiger!!!"
She says spotting the big cat.
The lid gos down as she closes up Toby with a snap.
Now safe inside she says from a speaker on his side.
"I'll distract it wile you go for help, tell them to bring a trank gun' go on get help"

Reed Plainsong |

"He will not harm you," he says, calmly walking over and rubbing the big cat behind it's ears. "He is my friend, try to harm him and you will deal with me, as for the half man, half bull, you are corr have a few questions though, what is a mec-mecha, was that the word?"

Vickory West |

Realizing just how quickly the numbers are diminishing, Vickory decides that subtlety on her part isn't as important anymore, though remains invisible, she takes a more direct approach and fills the area around any baddies with fire, targeting cultists first and if she can manage it she might hit the portals, not that she the things coming from them to care.
Fire Storm, damage to all in 32 10' cubes: 16d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 6, 2, 3, 6, 6, 1, 1, 5, 5, 6, 3, 4, 4) = 65

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Melody's plan appears to be working - the electromagnetic field within Vai is softening and softening... and then is snuffed entirely. Melody gives the signal that the field is clear, and the gathered healers pour healing energy into Vai. The burns all across her body vanish, and she tenses, her back arching slightly at the massive spike of positive energy. Her heart rate spikes for a moment, and the medical equipment bleeps angrily. After a moment though, she relaxes. Her face is serene and peaceful, and no more burns are forthcoming...
Unfortunately, this isn't the end of Vai's problems. The nanites in her bloodstream are reporting an extremely low white blood count. As Fei feared, the ultraviolet radiation has completely decimated her immune system. She will recover with rest, and the nanites can substitute in the short-term, but the medical staff will have to carefuilly monitor her, lest she succumb to an infection and develop Immune Reconstitution Syndrome or another auto-immune condition.
"Fei, are the sedatives turned off now? We want to let her wake up on her own."
The young monk quietly nods as he finishes dialing back the sedative feed so Vai will be able to regain consciousness.
Drawing from every lesson Sifu Daiyu taught him, he pulls himself almost completely to his center. As he does so, the emerald glow from his suit (which was becoming brighter and brighter as Vai's vitals were spiking) finally begins to dim.

Halo_Jonnes |

"He will not harm you," he says, calmly walking over and rubbing the big cat behind it's ears. "He is my friend, try to harm him and you will deal with me, as for the half man, half bull, you are corr have a few questions though, what is a mec-mecha, was that the word?"
She pops the lid again, reaching behind her head she disconnect a cable that was inserted into her neck. It slides back into the Jocky bay. Once done she climes out of the Jocky seat and then makes her way down tobys back left Leg.
"O I see, custom pet, ye seen them before, would not dream of hurting it."
She says, then jumping the last bit to the ground.
Turning around she, Toby, behind her closes the Pilots pod but dos nothing more, standing perfectly still.
She walks up to Reed, looking up into his face, Halo is about 5'8" . She is not armed, she has on a kind of Jump suit.
"A Mecha is a Cyberneticly Driven powered Vehicle you know, used to carry operators and equipment into hazardous areas. This unit is a ex-combat Scout Mecha known as a LQ - 84if Sniper Wolf. Built it a Mecha-Jocky and one Serge class anti-static installation Gauss-Gun to a place the Jocky can shoot things from. The Gauss-guns not fitted at the moment. Frankly never will be. You can't hit anything unless its at least half a Km away and what ever it is going to hit. Has to keeps still for the two minutes it takes to aim and fire the silly thing. In other words no use for Tobys new role of body guard. Nope its size and claws or much more use for that."
You can't see any claws but you can see where the come out.
"Soooo, o I'm Halo Jonnes by the way, nice to meet you, well cant call you minotaur, could I ask you name?"

Casseus Rex |

Quickly holsters his pistol and charges the armored fellow, going for a quick take down...
Grapple CMB: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (17) + 31 = 48
Casseus snickers at the fugly human's departure, then looks about to see who is maintaining the other two portals, and opens fire once identified.

Fly Check: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (14) + 30 = 44
Iolth's powerful wings leave him soaring, doing laced loop-de-loop barrel rolls. You get the feeling that if a non-natural flyer tried that, they'd end up upchucking their breakfast.

Kim seems to have stopped looking for anyone, convinced that Trista has no idea where she was going.
instead Kim just goes over to watch the younger kids play a game. she seems a bit reluctant to join in, this is a school for really super kids, and she didn't want to get turned into a frog or have her hair all fallout or something weird like that.

Serrin Surya |

Serrin is quite through much of the tour. The SIM rooms are interesting, but she isn't very much into such physical activities. Could be a place to have some fun however. She took note of the bad foods in the cafeteria, making sure she knew what to avoid.
As it seems the tour might be wrapping up, she asks a question that's been on her mind since it started "Is there no library here? I brought most of my books with me, but one can never have enough" She says with a smile for her love of reading.

"Tarka, she will be alright. Her patron is trying to influence her or make a decision that Ephebe doesn't agree with. She'll recover, she just needs rest. But thank you for letting me know."
He turns back to Morrivan.
"I'm sorry, Morrivan. My wife comes first, of course. Now, what did you need?"
"Yes I did assist Ardiente in this manner, and I would be more than willing to help you as well."
Krays stands and extends his staff, which turns into a scythe, the runes pulsating with a sickly green glow to kind of sick heartbeat. He cuts into mid air, and draws a 'seam' into nothing. Incorporeal creatures of all types claw at each other to get out, but do not seem able to pass over unbidden.
"Rodhas, cousin of Morrivan, you may pass. Come, and speak with me."
It seems as if a giant wedge was cast into the tear, as the formless creatures are thrown back and scattered. Then, out of the black and into the room passes the ghostly form of Rodhas. He looks as he did in life, without any signs of his death.
"On behalf of your cousin, I am prepared to offer you life anew. Will you accept this, or will you choose to speak with her, or will you choose neither and simply return to the ether? The choice is yours"
Edit: for some reason I thought she wanted to speak with 2 people...

The library has some extraordinary properties that I think that you will especially appreciate with that attitude towards books. I've been told that it contains every book that's ever been written. And not just on this plane of existence. You'll never run out of reading material while you're at Avalon."

Advaran rams the doors to the elementary gym at full throttle, slamming the handbrake and skidding to a halt at near breakneck speeds. "That is how you make an entrance," he says before examining the doors for damage.
Sorry I missed this post earlier.
There is a large crowd of children of varying ages waiting inside the gym. Some of the youngest children start to cry because they're scared of the motorcycle, while some of the older children crowd forward, eager to get a closer look at this new vehicle.
The very frazzled looking teacher steps forward. "Alright, I'm leaving the older kids here for class and taking the little ones outside to play. We'll be back at the end of gym class."
This is Pyra's class. The class that has PCs in it has gym later in the day. They always start with reading and math in the morning.

That's because people tend to talk about Rodhas and Joneh as a unit since they always did everything together. But as much as she liked Joneh as a friend, Rodhas and Morrivan have been together since they were babies. Losing Joneh was hard, but losing Rodhas was what really had her all twisted up.
When the ghostly form of Rodhas shows up there seems to be another spirit that comes with it, but not being called, this spirit is somehow waiting just on the other side of the barrier, almost as if it is attached.
When Rodhas hears Krays's offer at first he shakes his head, but then he says, "I will speak with her, but I'm not going to come back to life. I'll explain it to her."
With that, his attention shifts away from Krays and towards Morrivan. The ghost walks over to her and smiles awkwardly. "Hey, Morri. Not really a good way to say this is there?"
She looks at him through a sheen of tears and just says, "Why? Why are you leaving me?"
"Morri....we were together my whole life. You're like the sister I never had. But...it can't have really escaped your notice that you're pretty extraordinary and I'm...not. I know you don't want to hear this, but the truth is that you were gonna end up leaving me in the near future. For good reasons. Our home village is a great place, but we came here because you can't be yourself there. They don't understand about the water bending or the liking girls. You would have gone on to have amazing adventures out there somewhere while I waited at home, hoping to hear some scrap of news sometimes as letters got fewer and further between. No, don't argue. I'm not being dramatic. I've known for ages that that's how things would happen. Since the war games last year...when you were able to help them beat the big engine thingy and I couldn't really do anything to help at all. But now... well, dying isn't so bad really. It's like a big adventure of my own, and I get to go with my best friend. So far the afterlife is pretty cool really. Morri...whether you believe it or not, you're going to be okay without me. You're going to be better than okay. And wherever I am, I'm going to be just as proud of you as I've always been."
"You c-can't know that for sure," Morrivan wailed, tears falling fast now. "I w-wasn't going to leave you!"
Rodhas sighed. "You wouldn't mean to, and it would have held you back way too long, but eventually we were headed in different directions. I know this is earlier than you expected and without any time to get used to the idea, but...it's for the best. It really is." The ghost hugged her. "I love you, Morri. Tell Mom and Dad...tell them that all that stuff about going to a better place is true and that I love them and I'm sorry I couldn't stay. Goodbye."
Morrivan couldn't speak through her tears, clinging to Rodhas for as long as he'd let her, but eventually she had to let go. It's hard to hang on to a ghost.
He took a step back and smiled and Raelle who was trying very hard to sob quietly. "Take good care of her for me, Rae...and don't worry. I already know you will. Joneh said to tell all of you thank you for being such good friends and giving him somewhere to belong for a little while. I'm sorry. I can't stay any longer. Goodbye," he said, his spirit fading from sight as he returned to where Krays called him from.
