Shoshin turns to Reed "Nice to meet you Mr. Reed, I hope she didn't give you too much trouble?"
Glancing at Halo repairing Toby he asks "any damage?"
"Nothing that can't be fixed, leg servo cover plate came lose, sheared two bolts. Not a biggy. My fault, pushed it into the reds with that last jump, hit a tree, lucky really, if it was not for Tobys inertial dampeners I would be a mess inside the Jocky pod... and... that's it"
She turns off the power tool, putting it away she takes the tool kit back to the pod. She getting in the Jocky pod she makes toby move his back left leg to check its working ok.
"All fixed"
She says sticking her head out of the Jocky pod.
He nods, raising an eyebrow when you mention the other outcome before shaking his head yet again. Looking up at Iolth, he whistles and gestures for him to land "Iolth, get down here"
Iolth seems to continue flying, but suddenly he appears on Toby's cockpit. "Woah... this is cool. Can you show me how this works?"
Halo having just claimed back out stops and looks at the Iolth in the cock pit.
Looking around it, Iolth see the Jocky Pod is all screens and odd looking light winking panels.

The snake like cable not finding any imput port in Iolths head, pulls away. Then Tobys big Tail comes over the hood and picks Iolth up from the Jocky pod. It places you back down on the ground next to its left lag.
It then closes the Jocky Pod.
Halo looks down and says with a jocky tone.
"Seems he dos not trust you"
"Ahh, that's okay. He's a bit scary though. Anyways, he's pretty cool." Iolth's eyes light up with a green flame as he looks intently at the mecha, then the flame winks out and a look of surprise appears on his face. "Woah. There's no magic animating this thing. Da-yum."
Iolth executes a perfect backflip off of Toby, then starts examining him with wonder. "How does this thing move without magic!?! This is definitely cool! Where did you learn this kind of stuff!"
Iolth leans in closer, trying to take a look at the inner workings of the machine. However, as he caresses the metal, Shoshin can feel a massive pulse of magical energy emanate from his hand... and hit Toby with the force of a tarrasque.
As the massive dent appears in Toby, Iolth's eyes go wide. "OHGODSI'MSOSOOOORY! Here, I'll fix it for you." Iolth's eyes go green again as the robot's dent smooths itself out.
Iolth sighs. "And that, Halo, is why I'm at Avalon. Except, when I completely lose control, it happens on a much bigger scale and is much, much scarier."
Halo is a bit shocked by what iolth just did, as he damages the Mecha, a shimmering seems to come into being around it. Even as he go's to fix it he can it's it's all ready mending. Then after he dos Adamantine claws spring out of it feet it powers up standing to move to attack with its front leg but then..
"STAND DOWN!!
Halo calls out as soon as it dos, the Mecha stops dead, not moving leg raised.
halo go's over to The Mecha and checks it, there did not seem to be any permanent damage . Then she go's to Iolth but at arms length.
" are you ok! that was one hell of a dumb thing you just did. Tobys not the kind of robot you want to #%#% off, I think the wards things would have saved you but it may have been painful until they did"

"I'm here because I have no other place to go and your here because you got like dangerous magic problems, So the rest of you, why you guys here?"

Cultist City Assault
The combined assault by hand cannon and firestorm spell, plus the seven summoned meanies with their abilities, make short work of the remaining casters, along with the incorporeal creatures guarding the room. Even with their shadowy forms, the damage is sufficient to destroy their essence and send them back to the Abyss, which-- happens neatly, given the Gates that remain.
It might come as a surprise, that even with the last humanoid casters felled, either by bullet, fang or magic, these Gates seem content to stay open at this time, though nothing is ...billowing out. Then again, it's really only been a quarter of a minute or so since the students popped in and started attacking.
The sense of 'other worldliness' is still malevolently present. You can see the very rock becoming warped and twisted, and the air filling with a stink of death and warfare. This is not a happy place and would take some considerable divine magics to cleanse.
It is oddly quiet right now, save for some howling winds flowing out of the two Gates, which do not look the same past their openings. A moment of rest... The giant 'hand' has slid back into the Gate from this part of existence, taking the crushed caster corpses with it.
The large minotaur leans against a tree as all this happens only moving when Toby goes attack mode, but standing down when he does, "She was no trouble and I am just Reed."

Shoshin nods, glad they dropped the story subject for now "Hey, crazy girl, don't forget about us. All Iolth and I've seen is classrooms and the cafeteria, besides it'll be fun keeping up" he says, a smile crossing his face.
Stiffening when the tiger licks him, he reaches up to pet it, wiping the saliva off his neck with his other hand. "Is your tiger always this affectionate Reed?"
He simply shrugs, "When he wants to be."
He gives a shrug of his own "Not the first time I've been around animals, certainly won't be the last I suppose"
He moves over by a tree, sitting against it before checking his pack as he waits. Pulling out several vials of a clear liquid with the stopper firmly placed so nothing will get through it, after making sure those are in order he places them back where they belong and pulls out the only remaining thing inside the pack, a small slightly charred photo that he quickly stuffs into his pockets.
"I bet that I can outfly that big ol' hubk of metal there, Halo." Iolth says with a mischievous smile. He stretches out his wings and starts hovering in the air. "I bet that I can make the return trip faster than Toby. Wanna see?"

Generally on weekends when you don't have classes. Kuros is currently off limits because they are rebuilding after a tragic plague outbreak that killed more than half the city's inhabitants. If you wish to visit your parents, simply ask for permission and you will be allowed to go and visit them during a time when you are not in class. While short trips to visit family are permitted almost any time, longer trips for the purpose of exploration are called field trips and must be accompanied by a staff member. Taking off on your own without telling anyone places you in danger and will result in punishment. Is that clearer to you, Mr. Svarog?"hmm wards, and we aren't allowed to leave.... hmm perhaps it's time for a calculated risk...."Am I hearing you correctly that we are to be trapped here within the school, we can't go to meet with our parents or see the local sights?""Now, if you would like a brief tour of the grounds we can step outside for a moment. And you may once in a while have a field trip that will be accompanied by a staff member. But aside from that, you are asked not to leave the grounds."

Shouldering his pack Shoshin answers "I'll start the race, but what's the course gonna be?"
Toby hunkers down and converts to travel mode.
"I have an idea... all the way around the school-and no holds barred-except lethality, of course. You can use whatever non-lethal powers you may have, so we can keep this interesting."
Reed smiles a little at that, "That is fine with me."
Snapping his fingers and muttering the spell for Dancing Lights, causing three colored orbs to appear one over the other, red, yellow, and green respectively.
"Ok, here's how it'll work, when the green light fades out we start, that way nobody cheats and starts early" he looks towards everyone "that sound fair?"
"That sounds fair to me."
