As Vickory enters the SIM room (and wondering why it's called that), she looks around obviously it's unfamiliar, though she seems perfectly comfortable with 3d image, though Tryko may remember the her cloak can make 3d images of memories as well, depending on how well he was paying attention during the events where they met.

"We should focus on the leadership. Take them out, then fortify the position and lure others into assaulting the position. That will quickly sort out the non-combatants. Then we display the dead leadership, and some of the enemy will break. Finish the rest and take care of the prisoners at leisure."

At mention of gear, "Would like some scout armor if it can be produced quickly. Though, we could really use a few soul traps to prevent rezzing of the leadership, a few mobile wards, particularly to prevent summons, would also be good. Instant fortification kits, wands of various wall spells, there is plenty that could be useful if we can get access to these things. A ranged weapon be nice as well. My bolt wand, and armor, was being recharged when we got banished, so I'm missing a lot of stuff."

Vickory seems to have done this a few times before.

Jeran grimaced. "That works? Like ever? Sorry, those would be suicide tactics against lycans and I'm still learning some of the social customs of other races...when you're fighting lycans if you take out the leaders all that does is show everyone else that all they have to do to become leader is take you out. It wouldn't frighten off anyone. Are we sure demon cultists aren't the same? Instead of being scared they might be pleased with the instant promotion. And no soul traps...that's just....wrong," he said, grimacing in distaste.

"You can get some basic armor and weapons, probably a few wands. They're free to borrow. Just put them back when we're done. Here," he said, handing her a piece of paper. "It's your hall pass. If teachers question you show them this and they'll know you have permission for this 'special project'. There's a storage room where they keep the extra stuff like that."

"Now eat your food and then we can go find our rooms, I need to unpack and have a nice long bath"

He stops, picking up his last sandwich and biting into it, "Yeah, compared to him we do look dull, but that's not the point" He finishes his sandwich and turns to her "Ok, bath-time for you, that is unless you plan on putting more images in my head" his tone is teasing, although he's thankful for his fur hiding his blush.

This is the point where you two get interrupted. Any further posts from Halo that assume she got up, left the table, and/or went to her room didn't happen. Looks like two posts being retconned out. I hate to retcon, but this scene got waaaaay out of sync with the other scene it was interacting with.

Sorchan looked up from answering a question from Alev and frowned. He did a quick head count which confirmed his suspicions. They were two short.

"Mr. Quillblood, did the other two tell you where they went?"

When the answer is negative sorry for assuming a response, need to sync the scenes back up :/ he sighed.

"Alright, I'll go find them. Hopefully this lot won't be too much trouble while I'm gone," he said wryly.

Speaking louder he said, "There's breakfast for you right over there if you want it," he pointed to a table of firebird appropriate food. "Please finish with your forms and hand them in to Mr. Quillblood. We'll get you your finished schedules in just a few minutes here and then you'll be able to get to class. I have to step out of the office for a minute, but I will be right back."

With that he went looking for the other two, finding them in the cafeteria.

He put a hand on each of their shoulders. "It's not that I mind you getting breakfast. But you should have told someone where you were going. Now I'd like you both to please come back to the office to finish your enrollment," he said sternly.

"My experience with cultists is, usually my presence stuns them for a bit, but then they attack with a religious fervor. If they are willing to traffic with demons and devils, they have no regard for life, human or otherwise. They may even attempt to quickly sacrifice those they do have to gain more power to fend us off, or to summon more powerful demons to aid them. This can also cause problems, because a demon summoned in haste is usually a demon freed from any obligation to it's summoner. Mistakes get made, and a lord of Hell is running around. That having been said..."

"What is best, is to isolate or identify the leaders and hit them first. They are probably the most competent summoners and casters of the bunch.
Unlike what you say about Lycans, when the seemingly invulnerable and all powerful big bosses get slagged, it gives the minions pause. They may be more ready to parlay after the heads are cut from the hydra. The filling the power vaccuum thing doesn't happen until after the threat passes. Then, mostly, they will just go back to what they were doing, eventually, having a brawl until the new bosses become evident. Now, some of them will rethink their lives and stop, but for the most part, this doesn't happen. Sometimes even the people you free from this take up the mantle.
Fanaticism is really, really whacked out."

"So, Id suggest the following steps..." he counts these out on his stone fingers. "...one: Find the leaders and grease them. two: deal with the remaining cultists, parlay to get the slaves out. three: go back and grease those that haven't left. four: watch the people we saved like a hawk to make sure they don't go back to what they know..."

"I know you guys might not like number 3...but I'm pretty sure you won't want to run this exercise over and over..."

He awaits reactions, by pulling out a cigar and lighting it, taking a deep draw.

Though very fanatical people might also be resistant, but those are only very small groups. Generally large groups of 'fanatics' are really a small group of fanatics with a large group of, not really fanatical, supporters.

And yes, soul traps. Just because you are, quite luckily, blessed with an immortal soul, doesn't make it less necessary to imprison problematic individuals. Just be happy you don't have a soul that most mortals can destroy." Quite obviously her reference to easily destroyed souls applies to her.

After Rex speaks, "What is it with all the folks around here and the aversion to killing? Diplomacy has it's place, but really now, aversion to killing is just ridiculous."

Iolth flopped down on his bed, groaning. The last couple minutes of were very exhausting. If he hadn't known better, Iolth would've thought that some sort of malefaction was involved.

To mark the beginnings of a very bad day, Iolth was taken through the school on a tour after he got his room situated. That, on its own, wouldn't have been bad. The fact that he was stuck with some student councilman, droning on about tech in a dead monotone while showing off his advanced thrallherding techniques to Iolth, was bad. The whole ordeal gave Iolth a very servere migraine.

Then, Iolth just had to stumble upon a few idiot hotshots, intent on giving the new guy a hard time. When Iolth wouldn't fight back, they got pissed. One of them was a summoner, and guess what? He sicced his eidolon on Iolth, resulting in a massive brawl in the hallway. Luckily, somebody was able to break it up before a teacher could step in. The pair sneered at him and told Iolth that they would finish it at the "Snipe Hunt."

All of that crap happened before Iolth was even out of the office forty-five minutes.

Groaning, Iolth got out of his bed and shambled over to the cafeteria for a quick bite to eat. He was exempt from classes for the first day so he could at least skim the topics that he was supposed to know.

Staring down at his goop, Iolth sees a writhing tentacle in it. Grasping his fork, Iolth starts stabbing the tentacle, and an epic battle between boy and cafeteria abberation ensues.

While battling with the tentacle, Iolth thinks to himself [i]Yep. This is definitely gonna be a looooong day.[/b]

~ Administration Room ~

Sven Brightedge:

Sven had taken the papers and was in mid-process of filling them out when he noticed the Ash Haired Youth 'become alive' at some distant event out of sight.

He continues to watch the other, putting his writing tool down calmly.

If anything, the activity of the Ash Haired Youth seems to be of particular interest to Sven.

Ulna Terrianos:

Mostly ignoring what's going on and going over the paperwork, Ulna fills the pages out with a skilled hand and fine calligraphy. It isn't hidden or kept from being seen, should someone peer over, but, it should be noted she seeks to catch anyone looking her papers' way.

She fiddles with her hair slightly, here and there peering up from the written work to look about. Occasionally she peeks over at the Ash Haired Youth, but doesn't give him the attention Sven does.

Ash Haired Youth:

Continuing to peer off in a seemingly random direction, the Youth maintains his odd study of whatever is 'out there'.

This is due to another IC event, so it's progress and subsequent updates is going to be based on that, weee...

Tall Thin Guy:

Looking at the papers when presented, the Tall Thin Guy balks and speaks up, "This is absurd. I have no vassal to fill these out. Surely you cannot expect me to do such demeaning tasks, how, pedestrian."

He looks up and off, disgusted by the suggestion he do anything of the sort.

It's fairly clear that while he might notice the Ash Haired Youth's actions, much like the other people in the room, he's haughtily ignoring it.

When I see your master, I'll send him to hell too. he says, taking a horrifying pleasure out of destroying the being which had blasted holes in his side, his arms and his foot.

~ Administration Room ~

The Tall Thin Guy looks back at Archena's command to be silent with a mixture of anger, tingled with shock.

"I can understand why your parents would send you away from them with all due haste, aberration such as yourself, as the very fact your fingers cannot form into proper digits and retain their claw appearance-- but do not think you can command me from your place in our people's hierarchy. Have you no shame? I'm surprised you weren't 'dismissed' from our society earlier. Pity is such a weak emotion that taints our people, I can see that clearly now by the fact you still draw breath. In fact, I understand now why I was sent here-- to be the bastion of strength and purity in an otherwise tainted place."

After insulting and scoffing at Archena, he looks back at the papers as if to consider them.

Archena violently sneezes during his speech, a thing a decent sense motive or common sense will tell is not actual sneezing.
"Sorry, one of aberrations is that I'm allergic to bull$#!+."
She gives a bright smile with almost inhumanly perfect teeth.
1d20 + 3 + 3 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 3 + 7 = 25Knowledge nobility on T.T.G.

Male Firebird

vis is practically shaking, aboslutly enraged by this fool. He returns to breathing deeply, in an attempt not to harm him. Hurting him would "prove" his non-existant point. People like this are why he refused to go out even when he could. You can't win, because they use their fake stature to dismiss anything you say.

"Now now people, compose yourselves" he looks to the tall one "is this any way for one who claims to be of noble blood, disgraceful, nobility is about more than who's name you bear, it's about how you should live and treat each other" he then turned to the surya "and you weren't much better, our people have gone through a great tragedy, this is a time for unity, not infighting, or we will be nothing but a footnote in history, and the world will move on without the firebirds"
