He returned the kiss eagerly. Reluctantly he pulled back, smiling at her. "I'm sorry I doubted you. You really are amazing, you know?" he added, brushing her cheek gently with the back of his knuckles.

"But you're going to have to eat quickly now. You're already late to class."

The kiss only made the fluttering in Rena's stomach stronger. It certainly wasn't an unpleasant feeling, but it made her knees kind-of weak. The feeling only got stronger as he affectionately stroked her cheek.

"Oh! Right! I don't want to be late! It's a shame, I was hoping to have some more fun before class, but I guess I'll have to wait!" she says, his reminder of the impending class giving Rena a sudden burst of nerves. "Let's eat though!"

Without much preamble, Rena plops down where they were standing and breaks into her box, immediately digging in, ignoring the plastic utensils provided. Nobody has ever taught her table manners, that much is clear as she digs in with gusto.

He responds, "I'm having a crisis of ...faith? Personality ... mismatch? I dunno. You ever have an out of body experience where everything you're doing is you, but doesn't feel right? I think that demon might be back, dunno, could just be some lame excuse, you know? Satan and all that?"

He pinches the bridge of his nose and closes his eyes, opening them to say, "Helping the girl felt good. I know I could raze that city and the occupants, like swatting flies, but, I have some doubts on whether that's right, too easy, or even why I would think that. So-- if I were to gut check, simple plan, find other prisoners, yank 'em out, disrupt their power base or put the fear of other things into these guys. Then again, these are demon cultists and I can't dismiss what Casseus," he nods at the red devil guy, "said earlier. It logically makes perfect sense. Scary truth. So why not? Plus, planet gives me the impression it's might makes right or some s~*&."

It doesn't sound as if he's confused one iota, but he is saying words that don't jive with his body language. He clearly is keeping his emotions in a tight check, while still appearing to be quite confident and charismatic.

He looks back up at Jeran, straight in the eyes and says, "You gotta decide man, not my call... I just crashed a week or more back, give or take some SIM time."

There was a flash of anger in Jeran's eyes when he said his piece about might making right and he clenched his jaw tightly to prevent himself from interrupting before Tryko'Sam was done speaking.

"There are people on this world who believe that might makes right, yes," he said, his words calm and measured. "That is certainly the lycan way. But it's not always a good way. It leads to...bad things sometimes. Abuses of power that shouldn't happen. Might only makes right when it does right."

"As far as these cultists go...I don't know how much experience you have with these kinds of people. It's hard to scare people who deal with demons and devils. We could scatter them, but then they're running around hurting people in smaller groups instead of one big concentrated group. Do we really want to be responsible for the lives that they will ruin, the people that they will kill, if we let them go? As I said, I'm not a fan of killing. But sometimes there aren't any other good choices. Sometimes the best we can do is to save as many people as we can."

With the names being given, Anahita gives a polite mini-bow, hand to her chest and says simply, "Greetings to you both, I am pleased to know you."

Watching Illithia as she gives her descriptions, and creates the illusion, Anahita doesn't seem to blush or get perturbed. She looks back towards Vare and says, "I am unsure. There are some qualities that lure me to my non-thinking urges, yet," she looks back now, "they are not, apparently, appropriate without more awareness and have brought about a gross violation of what I feel is my and his privacy in a purely natural and ancient ritual. That is the challenge before me. We have agreed to learn more, I have no impatience in this, yet. Do you have any urge around him? I've not heard if he is attractive to anyone else, though I suspect his companion, an planar creature, is protective or yearns for him, a jealousy of sorts. This is the second...

Clearly, Anahita's reactions and odd way of speaking of something of a buzzkill for Illy, as her grin droops slightly, and she glances over at her companion for a moment before looking back at Anahita.

"Geez, you're as naive as they come, aren't you?" she says with a sigh, clearly the fun taken out of whatever game she was playing. She stops talking lowly, though she's not shouting either, and Vare is still wrapped up in his writing. A few other students are filtering in slowly. "Alright, first of all, if you're gonna get busy with a teacher, you need to do it on the D/L. And I can't say I wanna get with Vare myself. I don't go for the tall people. Way too big, if you know what I mean."

"Second of all, you should get one of these." Illy continues on, raising up her arm to display the charm about her wrist - Anahita has seen similar on both Ehos and Jaiye in the past. "They make it so you can't get preggers."

"And third of all, if you're gonna have to fight this other chick over him, make sure you get the drop on her. Take the initiative, y'know? You'll end up in detention, but it's worth it to send a message that he's yours." The last part is said rather knowingly, as if it's something she experienced first hand in the past.

Oddly enough, what Jeran says about might and right, though there's a moment of distraction from the acronym used, that Tryko'Sam appears calm himself and introspective.

Illy is growing a little frustrated at this point, and though she's trying not to show it, her black 'tattoo' is shifting slightly towards a deep red colouration instead of merely black. The tattoo must be magical in some way, to shift colours like that. "Oh, "the D/L" just means on 'the downlow'. Y'know, be discreet about it. Folks get all uppity about it, for whatever reason." she waves a hand dismissively, as if trying to push away her frustration with the gesture. The one called Marsi has yet to say anything in the slightest.

"I'm gonna be blunt here - Anahita was it? - if you haven't had an orgasm before, you should try it. You might figure out what the big deal with sex is then."

Her impish grin returns again, the frustration washed away in anticipation of whatever she was about to say. "And hey, if you don't know how to do that, maybe you can get Vare to help you. Orgasms are pretty awesome. Sex isn't just for baby-making y'know."

"Of course. I would be honoured to give you your first lesson at Avalon." The scribe replies, kneeling down slightly next to Archena to appear more friendly.

Mr. Quillblood has obviously seen Archena's fingers and takes that in stride. Instead of holding the pen delicately, which would be hard for someone with claws such as Archena, the scribe instead demonstrates an alternate method of holding the pen where it lays elegantly along the index finger, and the thumb grasps it.

"You see, if you hold it like this, you'll have a much more delicate touch when writing, and your script will flow better as well."

Sense Motive DC20 (for anyone watching):

The Scribe has intentionally not drawn attention to the fact that Archena has claws, likely because he knows it would be a sore subject among the gathered Firebirds.

At a student of his approaching and speaking, Vare turns his attention away from what he's drawing on the board... which appears to be a diagram of a Binding circle, if Lim'Mor has experience with such.

"I would be more concerned about a student binding an Imp as a familiar than the actions of the Imp itself. Such a binding is reckless beyond belief." Vare replies, looking over Lim'Mor as he speaks, though those present in the room might not that the Wizard spares a glance and a smile in the direction of a lovely young woman seated next to a tattoo'd halfling.

We're a type of shapeshifter, though we can only change into a specific animal form. As to why so much violence, well, that's a really long story, but to make it short and sweet, our people believe might makes right. Its a viewpoint I plan on trying to fix, and I think my sister wants to as well. Meditation is an exercise that involves sitting quietly, eyes closed, and focusing on your breath. It helps you to shut out all other distractions and helps center and calm you." He's carefully choosing his words, making sure not use any that are too big for the young firebird. Its also obvious to any, but especially Jai, that he seems comfortable in a sort of teaching/mentor role.

"I... That is to say--" Anahita seems to focus on Illithia's changing tattoo coloration and do as she'd done previously. First she seemed to focus elsewhere, perhaps to the uninitiated, a simple loss of attention, distant stare, but, then she simply seems more and more unfocused on the here and now, eyes still, held breath. It lingers for a second more and she vanishes.

Surprisingly enough, however, unless Illithia's is prepared for it, Anahita returns nearly as quick as she vanishes. Blinking once or twice, as if waking up.

"I shall, seek... To do as you suggest, yet-- I... It, what you speak of is very personal. The casual manner is new. I have never been present to this. Please excuse my lack of awareness. You do not strike me as malicious, merely seeking to assert yourself and playful. I am glad to have met you. I like your tattoos. Magical and ...more?"

Anahita turns her attention towards Illithia's fully again, and smiles warmly. She certainly doesn't appear bothered any more after speaking her bit, and the odd vanishing act. As a matter of fact, the consideration Anahita has of Illithia at the moment might appear, intimate- or predatory.

In Vare's eyes, he sees a fairly normal male elf, tall, brown hair, and green eyes. He is not clothed. To his right wrist an angelic version of him is bound by handcuffs made of glinting silver. It has a light halo and white wings. Blue eyes, fair skin, white hair, athletic build. He wears a blue robe with a star pattern. A large revolver is in a holster at his side.
To the undressed elf's left wrist are locked a thick set of black iron handcuffs. The other denizen of which is another version of the elf, this one the same height as the others, but more muscular and intimidating, deeply tanned skin. It has her black feathered wings and hair(from which black horns sprout up, a half foot long), red eyes, and a pointed smile as he looks over the board. Claws top his fingers. To his back a wicked trident is stored and he wears black metal armor.

Other people in the room see the same elf, clothed in half black, half white. A vest over his split tinted shirt is half blue with white stars and half black with red swirls. A switch blade pokes out if the breast pocket. His hair and feathered wings are split in the same black and white as his clothes. One eye is red, the other blue.

If the scribe is noticeably older than her or not much to look at, she goes back to chickenscratching her forms, something one would need ranks in linguistics to read, but at least there aren't any more holes in the paper.

The Scribe - one Mr. Quillblood - is a middle-aged elven man with long, raven coloured hair and a fair complexion. While he doesn't have that "ruggedly handsome older man" look, he is definitely prettier than some of the girls with the group of Firebirds. The signs of his age are small, but distinct and noticable - wrinks around the eyes and mouth. No grey hairs to speak of yet.

"Of course, Miss. If you wish further lessons, please come and find me. I am always willing to share my Art." he replies primly, smiling tightly at the young woman before returning to Sorchan's side.

"Apologies for my rudeness, Professor. Shall I send a missive to Miss Jones? She should be well-versed in such magics, should she not?"

The Incredible Vanishing Girl wrote:

The sudden disappearance and reappearance of Anahita certainly takes Illithia by surprise, and she jumps slightly. "You okay?" she asks upon Anahita's return, sitting up a bit more straight than she was previously, the incident obviously forcing her attention to focus a bit more.

Upon seeing that Anahita appears unhurt and well enough to continue the coversation, she relaxes again, slouching slightly in her chair. Over the course of the past few moments, the deep red colour has faded away from the tattoos and they've returned back to the neutral black tone, though when Anahita mentions the tattoos, Illithia gets a slightly embarrassed smile and once again they shift colour subtly, this time to a lighter red - boardering on pink. "Ah.. thanks. Yeah, it's kinda like wearing a mood-ring that covers my whole body. I was born with them, and they stick with me even through polymorphing magic. Some sort of inherited something or other, apparently. They glow when I use my stronger magic."

Noticing Anahita's intent - and possibly intimate look - Illithia shifts a bit, grinning slightly. "Just so you know, I'm not really into girls. But as far as the casual thing... I mean, yeah, sex can be intensely personal or whatever, but it can also be a casual thing too. It can be whatever you want it to be. You get to decide that part."

"So.. that vanishing thing... is that why you're here? Are you a blinker, or something?" Illithia asks, giving Anahita an avenue to change the topic if she wanted to.

Oddly enough, what Jeran says about might and right, though there's a moment of distraction from the acronym used, that Tryko'Sam appears calm himself and introspective.

"So, bug hunt, but cultists instead. Prisoners are a moot point, save for the folk not cultist. Give me some pen and paper, and I can create a map, or we could launch out of a SIM room once prepped."

He glances over at Casseus and says, "Lock and load, Ace. Time to bag some cultists."

There's a certain calmness to Tryko'Sam, as if any doubt is removed from his mind now.

"Nice. SIM room sounds good. If we need reinforcements, I can summon some."

Renkai would have just left the child to its own devices if not for what Melody would want. It would survive, or die on its own without him...

Vare says seriously, a hand going to his chin in thought. It's as if he was speaking with more than one person when addressing Lim-Mor. He had certainly heard three distinct voices, and the projection was three distinct people as well.
