Female Human Teenager

Closing her eyes, Anahita took in a few measured breaths, releasing them evenly and calm. The turmoil going through her mind and spirit was not displayed, she'd long ago learned to perfect her physical form to do exactly what she wanted.

The rambling of the two near her was-- annoying, and base, but there'd been a time in her past that these things would not have mattered. Though, now, even the smallest tidbit of anything stirred her mind, as though anything and everything required examining and discussion.

The thoughts she had, she knew at one point would most likely overwhelm her without a proper release, but for now-- examine and adapt. Survival required learning. Learning took time. Sorting and change, took more. Even this way of thought was new. So many words. Languages and races.

Opening her eyes after the zillion runaway thoughts shot through them, she looked over toward Vare, seeing what he'd written. Trying to keep her thoughts silent, proved to be as much a failure as silencing Jivana.

A single sigh escaped her, her mask otherwise in place, just the desert dweller in a school with beings her age, trying to learn.

Unconsciously, her right fingers toyed with the chain of simple silver wrapped between her left hand digits. The contact reminded her of the Rim of the World, the winds and cold...

...she'd find a moment of silence. She had too...

In an effort to not leave Fei in the dust, I won't advance the plot any more without his activity following this post:

As Mel gives her theories and Aananda airs her response (along her furious programming), both Ace and Fei catch a subtle flutter of Vai's eyes, and a slight stirring in her limbs. She might be waking up. Which would be extremely painful for her right now. It might be best if she were sedated.

"Ace" wrote:
"Um, Professor, I think Vai might be on the verge of waking up. Which, I'm going to guess is not a good thing, considering." Ace says, still unsure if him talking to Tybs is the best idea.

Fei is already in motion as Ace begins to speak. Returning to the databed controls, he administers just enough sedative to keep the pain from registering.

"If we are going to attempt something, then we must do so now. Vai is incredibly strong, but she cannot endure this for much longer without irreparable harm," the young monk says as he watches her wounds begin to worsen again. He wants to continue healing her, but if waiting a few moments to try Melody's plan will yield a better result from using his energies he is willing to do so.

The green 'tracery' running across the suit now covering most of his body becomes a bit more...lustrous...as he watches her suffering.

Will Save (DC 20): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24.

A sound of relief comes from behind the tall stacks of papers on Alys' desk as she finally manages to get a clean copy of the last of the forms.

"I believe I have all the papers that were handed out, Professor. In about twenty minutes I shall have these all processed, as long as my peace is maintained." With that, he glances at the occupants of his office, before moving to sit at his desk, sorting through the forms with a frightening speed, magically aided.

She stands and carefully picks up the three different stacks of papers and approaches the desk at the front of the room. She dumps the largest bundle of papers, that from the right hand stack, into the trash bin. The next largest she sets down again with the remaining supply of clean forms on the front desk. Finally, she hands one set of completed forms to the elf with the ridiculously fast hands with a small bow. As she rises from the bow she speaks a few short words.

Though the language she speaks cannot be understood, the sound of the words she uses seems to make reality shiver in the area around her. Anyone close to the desk cannot help but glance in her direction.

Seeming to ignore the brief effect her words had on nearby listeners, Alys retrieves the bundle from beside her desk and walks out of the room coming to a stop at a respectful distance in front of Genosuke and bowing deeply.

Scooting a bit more, so just finger tips and her face are around the corner, she looks back at Kevin saying, "The female, white cloth, move a stick at me, I understand your speak, but not what means. Where is the dark hair Not Master? What is ... Human? You are not like me. These halls are not like there. Why this happen? Not to be left alone. Left alone by Not Master. Tall Thin Guy

Halo's actions with the device in hand does not go unnoticed, and at one point, the Tall Thing Guy asks Sorchan, "By the Flame, what is that female doing with that ...device? This place is a mad house of ill mannered beings."

He scowls at the action, but doesn't give it much more attention if Sorchan ignores it, offense spoken, expecting little change here.

Ulna Terrianos

Glancing at the odd three some, Halo, Iolth and Shoshin, Ulna was watching their interaction with a mixture of wide eyes, excited and wary.

Eventually, as before, she over comes her fear and asks Halo, "Excuse me, miss? May I inquire what you are doing with that ... object? With the blinking red illumination?"

Sven Brightedge

Sven's waiting on Sorchan to help with the Ash Haired Youth, having offered to 'escort' the fellow, who seemed not too keen on going into the White Room alone. He may have offered to stay with the AHY in the room too. He certainly isn't roaming off once they were given the all clear.

Ash Haired Youth

Having effectively said 'No' to the White Room, the Ash Haired Youth awaits Sorchan's next action. He continues to keep clear of anyone moving near or touching him. He seems calm in the storm of energy that is the other Firebirds and teens.

She watches in rapt fascination. Her terror and fears fading as she watches-- but not completely.

Good looking avatar choice!

"I am the Chosen One, to be sacrificed so my immortal soul can be devoured by the Dark Dwellers of the Abyss that provide power and strength for my Masters."

Her voice doesn't change, it's the same 'language' as before. Kevin might realize that she's also under the effects of something magical or a special person.

"Dark Haired, in dirt color robes, appeared. Took me from ritual. He and I, chased. Blood..." she shudders, "THINGS! Not ... like me, or him, or you, now."

She thinks, and Kevin would realize that she's either lacking in intelligence, or clearly not the mental age her body suggests. Forming coherent thought, other than that first one just now, seems challenging. His Tongue's extract won't give her intelligence, or experience in speaking. She probably didn't do much of that, or get any education.

"Run. Walls changed. Green ... things! Water on ground. White things in sky." She kind of looks up and smiles at the imagery in her mind, speaking of clouds. "THINGS again ... with claws, big teeth. Fire. More run. Sleep. Wake. New place, so many things ... another place with Masters? Not Masters. Here?" She gestures at the halls, not certain.

Taking a breath, looking around, she's calmed a bit, looking back at Kevin.

"Four Not Masters. One Dark Haired. Other, growls. Red skin, metal tube big thing? Odd head." Touching her forehead. "Demon elf ...thing, Dark Master servant? No. But, scared. Alone with Dark Haired Not Master. He say all good, safe, stay, will return. Noise in room. Metal ...uh..." She does like a gripping motion near her waist, then looks back, shrugging.

Her mannerisms are that of a young child, but she's a full teen physically. Gorgeous too, excellent physical shape, well developed, wearing only the medical gown. She doesn't appear bothered by any potential nudity.

"Noises near. Pain. Hurt." A shiver, she looks just past Kevin, then back, "More hallways. Look for Dark Haired Not Master, see ... you? Thing. Flee. Scream. Tell to stop. Not thing after ... Now here."

At this point, she looks slightly determined or not in the state to flee.

Since the day I first began learning to wield magic, and the first Words of Power came to me, I have been unable to speak in any language other than the language that gave birth to all of creation. My teachers tried everything they knew to help me, but they were unable to affect my condition in the slightest, and so I am here.
I am very happy to see you again, and I hope my time here will be enjoyable as well as productive.

waiting on Ace, seeing if he is going to go get Tybs, (yes there is a reason why Mel wants Ace to get Tybs).

Mel is at first a bit shocked at the entry into her mind, though she didn't really have any true mental defenses to be over come. but she quickly adapts to the telepathic communication.

::She is encased in some sort of electromagnetic radiation field that is both hampering conventional healing ans well as literally cooking her. But I intend to set up an AC electrical current and vary the frequency to find the same frequency as the radiation field then I should be able to isolate the electrical dipole moment that arises from separation of charges due to the exciting electrical potential, and this dipole moment oscillates in time, as the charges move back and forth. This oscillation at a given frequency gives rise to changing electric and magnetic fields, which then set the electromagnetic radiation in motion::

::Then all I need to do is redirect that motion via a conductor to a state of extreme cold, the reduced molecular activity will dampen the magnetic effect thus giving us a window of opportunity to actually heal Vai fully.::

Mel reverts to normal speech at this point. you can help, when the field weakens Vai will be in extreme pain, she will need to have this pain eased until regular healing can work. I will need you to assist Fei in doing this. keep her focused off the pain.

Mel seemed to have developed a leadership role in the room. it seems that the situation that has affected her dear friend has put Mel in a mental state that nobody has ever seen in her before.

Phaezeriel:

when you first made contact with Mel, there ws no real resistance to your telepathic communication, however you were surprised that her mind seems to operating at a capacity that goes beyond normal human capacity. its like there are three minds all working together harmoniously.

"First up is the SIM rooms. You'll all use these for PE classes, and often students choose to use them for recreational time as well. Inside the SIM rooms you experience a realistic but simulated reality. While it feels real, no real harm can happen to you inside."

~ Admission Party: Hallways ~

Sven nodded crisply, gave the Tall Thin Guy a glance who seemed to accept this offer, and they walked closer to the Ash Haired Youth, being within range, yet not too close.

Once the group started moving, they followed.

Ulna Terrianos

When Halo and company showed up, and especially the nonhuman looking Iolth did his various hyper speed antics, Ulna watched with curiosity, and a hint of fear. As before, however, she did freeze up, but seemed to over come the fear and either watch or move as needed.

With Halo roaming among folks with her camera, Ulna asks, "What is that device, why does it have a blinking red light on it? Is it talking?"

Ash Haired Youth

Having avoided the White Room, the Youth proceeds to walk along with Sven to his right, while remaining towards the back and always at, minimum, just past an arms length of distance.

He appears content to stay out of the focus, giving Halo's camera use a curious glance.

Jeran grimaced, remembering some of the nasties they had to fight during the demon invasion of the school last year. "We have to interrupt them before they can finish summoning whatever they're summoning," he agreed.

Bows slightly higher than Alys, then smiles and takes her up in a hug.

"You've grown, pup! It's good to see you." He steps back, and motions to Keme "Alys, this is your cousin Keme."

Keme waved hello. "Hey, cuz...welcome to the asylum," he said, grinning.

He looks surprised when she tries to talk and then smiles again. "Heh. Looks like I'm not the only freak in the family anymore...well, you've definitely come to the right place. It's actually pretty cool here...maybe we can get you a datapad or something. There's this one kid who uses one to talk because he can't make any sound or things go boom. Might work for your..uh...language issue...whatever that is...or it might not, but might be worth a try," he said with a shrug.

CALLOUT TO Damiani and Kevin Ramos

Vickory comes around the corner carrying a few small packs and sees the sacrifice girl talking to another person. She smiles at the girl as she pulls a wand out of one of the bags and uses it on herself.

"You're up! How are you feeling?" she then addresses the boy, "Hello, I'm Vickory. She doesn't speak any local languages. She a rescued person of sorts."

Vickory slides up to the girl, "They have some neat places here but you shouldn't go too far for now. Tryko will want to find you when we get back from our mission. Do you understand?"

Blonde Girl

Screaming bloody murder again, the young girl bolts away from Vickory as soon as she makes a move towards her in a hurry and clearly panic!

"Go to the office. Register for classes. Might as well learn something while you're stuck here figuring out those pretty, pretty wings," she teased before heading off to class.

Sounds good, but... Actions, directions? Plans?

Uhhh....teleport or whatever in there and punch the crap out of the summoners before they can finish the spell? It's a plan...never said it was a good plan...

"We can't just wait for Vickory. This is urgent. We need to get there before they finish that spell."

Elektra, Etain, and Alev seem to be especially interested in the SIM rooms.

"Can we try them out?"

"Can we at least see what they're doing in there? All I see now are a bunch of doors."

"So...if the damage isn't real...does it still hurt? Cause if it doesn't hurt it would be awesome to go exploring some glaciers...what? I mean, it's a room designed to let you do impossible things, right? What's more impossible than for us to go explore some icy terrain."

Meanwhile, Solus was listening very closely to the responses to those questions while pretending to be bored.

And Phaedra actually was bored. She glared haughtily at the strange being with the clicking box with the red eye.

Vickory looks at the boy, "She didn't run away last time. Hmm, can you help her please? I'm in a bit of a hurry."

If the boy agrees, Vickory will thank him and continue on back to the sim room. Otherwise...

Tryko'Sam nods and says, "Stopping targeting and mapping sweep." The current files seem to end their updating and such, no updates further on the 3D Hologram map.

"One instant jump into the summoning room, or did you want to be put near that room?" Screen 2 maintains the birds eye view from above some twenty feet of the four summoner so and their supporting staff, perhaps a total of thirty four visible robed persons.

"Give me six seconds and... Drop or put near? Ready on your say, gents. I'll update Vickory when she returns and then monitor from here."

Just to put out there, room full of cultists, clearly spell casters, unknown location (den of the Masters). Couple dozen or more currently visible.

"Put us in the room. That way we won't have to fight our way through flunkies and waste valuable time. Could get ugly fast, but we need to risk it," he said before shifting into wolf form.

::All ready to go.::

Ulna Terrianos

Watching the youths speak, Ulna at one point says, perhaps interjecting boldly, "But-- without the realism, what's the point? Isn't it just an illusion? Those can be ignored with enough will. Wouldn't that just make people blindly fearless, in the end?"

"Well, I'm sure we'll see each other around. You seem like a cool little guy."
She smiles and lightly 'punches' him in the shoulder.

"Er, ya, sorry."
He runs after the blonde girl. Years of running from exploding corrosive materials means he's good at getting out of dodge, or in this case, getting back into it. He catches up quickly to the blonde, labcoat blowing out back behind him.
"Hey. hey, hey now. It's OK. She's not gonna hurt you. No one will hurt you here. Do you want to go find dark haired guy?"

She did try to run, but she was a mere human, apparently, and not trained for it. Plus with all the screaming, she eventually found a wall and corner to huddle up into and wail away, terrified at Vickory, apparently, while whimpering wordless sobs and sniffles of draining terror.

She cringed as Kevin caught up to her, not apologizing, but a small, puny, little girl with tears flowing freely.

She nods vigorously, then shrugs, very scared and confused. "I do not know. Yes? No? I do not know..."
