To make things simple Tal is a melee fighter/tank. Don't have to worry about any fancy spells or other categories for me. ;p
Devil is a reach-weapon combatant, at least at the start (of the game, and of the fight).
Probably shoulda mentioned with Tuesday's Phase Lurch and Incorporeal mode he makes for a good scout too.

Here's the third incarnation of 'The List'. I've used on the character’s class to separate the submissions into their type. I have made no consideration for any archetype or build. If I redo the list a fifth time, perhaps I will factor those in. There are a few classes that I realized I don't know much about and have placed them into 'Unknown' until I can do a bit of research.
While trying to categorize the characters, I realized that the hybrid (divine/martial) was really not needed since the divine classes are already pretty militant. As this is sort of a test, I kept it in just in case, but, unless someone can sway me otherwise, will not include it again.
I also toyed with a hybrid (martial/skill) category. I think it would work well for the ranger, slayer, and monk. I have to consider it more (and start a thread elsewhere to discuss it).
Anyway, thank you for the notes of approval. I do hope that this helps everyone.

Yup. Miko is a skilled person. Mostly social. But skilled. Trickery etc =^^=
(and Cato for Aracane Hybrid [Martial]).
Still workin' on that fluff. I usually like to write up a short story for my characters, but I've been studying for my final tomorrow. In case I don't get to finish the story in time, I'd like to at least post my character's slightly revised backstory.
The current plan is to add in Cato making a deal with a contract devil. He essentially used his three wishes to ask for strength, fortitude, and for luck to be on his side in battle. Unfortunately, his wording was such that the devil, while following the letter of the wish, was able to defy its spirit. Cato has been saddled with the ability to gain some control over luck in battle, but it is something of a finite resource. In order to bend it to his will in battle, he tends to be incredibly unlucky in his day-to-day life. Hence the loss of his land, title, etc.
The "short story" that I'd like to write involves him as a young adult - or rather, an old teenager - making the deal. I'm also planning to write in a paternal or maternal figure, either an aunt/uncle or older slave, to ultimately interject and take Cato's place in the contract. This would allow Cato to be resurrected as normal, and give him another event to fuel his rage.

Question to GM and all: For my monk character; I'd like to get my hands on the more exotic weapons (like the double chain kama | nine-ringed sword) but concerned that it would be out of place or just not available in Westcrown. For my background going for training in Absalom, could it be I acquired such weapons there? Or could I get creative and have a Cheliax version of said weapons?
@ Song: Well, some devils wield chains as weapons, so you could reflavor said kama to fit a horned devil's weapon of choice. Same with the sword, just have it look infernally flavored and it should be fine.

She is however noticeably taller than most women and possess the characteristic Drow female dominance. Her hair long and flowing but dark as midnight unlike most Drow. Returning from a surface raid on an Elven village, a proud strong Drow warrior came across a young courtesan of Ardad Lili. Cara was born into the cult of Ardad Lili by a courtesan of Ardad Lili. As a result of this she had a very religious upbringing. However given the nature of her particular religion it was not the stereo typical conservative upbringing. No, as a follower of Ardad Lili Cara was taught that men are weak and to be taken advantage of.
Up reaching her majority Cara thought she would serve her god in the best was possible, and follow the road of the Ardad Lilian courtesan, but soon learned this was not enough. The thing that changed Cara's mind about becoming a Ardad Lilian courtesan was seeing one of her friends assaulted by a patron. This prompted her to take a sharp turn and become a monk of Ardad Lili. Not just any kind of monk but one of the Hamatulasu. Her new understanding of both pleasure and pain makes an even more formidable courtesan. Moving between the two roles effortlessly, she manipulates men without fear of rebuke and those who get in her way she destroys.
Seeking her fortune she went to the one place that most reflected her need, Cheliax. It was a city ruled by a Lawful evil deity, with great need for martial trainers due to very strict weapons laws. After living there for a few years she decided to truly earn a name for herself by solving the cities curse.
