Eh, I'm not really keen on that: Zses just got his memories back, giving up most of his lifetime to go down a flight of stairs isn't really that attracting of an offer. D:

First of all, we could leave this part alone until we find what's at the end of the stairs: we could ask the ghost-witch when we meet her again.
As far as bypassing the stuff, the spoiler says that by saying the formula I temporarily deactivate the runes, but I get turned into an old man only if I say that for all five of the runes: I think we could blow up/deactivate one, and I can bypass the rest by saying the formulas.

I mean, this is all moot as no one has Linguistics as a skill: it's trained only, so we can't find out about the ritual. :/

So who would be carrying the Black Blade?

Neverhome (TN), Silence (LN), Hobbes (NG), and Hila (N?) could hold it without gaining a Negative Level.

Wielding on the other hand,

Hobbes can't without size penalties.

Hila can't unless she starts pulling some Great Wolf Sif shenanigans.

Silence's stuff requires he uses Samurai weapons.

And Neverhome is "built" around using two-handers.

I was going to look into with the next level and well dm's permission going for a more dual wielding approach.

Switching out say mounted combat for two weapon fighting, my next feat could be used for two weapon defense or weapon focus scimitar. (unless the Dm wants to be super cool and decide that scimitars, as a curved slashing style blade are simular enough to katanas also a curved slashing style blade that weapon focus katana counts for it too.)

And its not entirely requiered to use samurai weapons.. just the free feats I get for being a samurai all have to be based off of them. For intstance at level 3 i got weapon expertise as a class skill...but it had to be selected for a samurai style weapon so its not a total hit to my abilities.

Silence could totally pull it off with the lease amount of shennanigans, but if you guys have better ideas im okay with that too.

Yeah I love the Giantbane since it also works on trolls and ogres and I'm sure we'll be seeing more giants in our future.
