I've been coughing and feeling icky the past couple of days. I'm going to bed early today and will resume posting tomorrow.

Heh. I was really tempted to say, "Tastes like chicken." And for some reason that made me think of a scene from Crocodile Dundee II.
Then I got curious, and turned up this:
What does rat taste like?
You really want to know?
[Long pause.] I'm not sure. Do I? Is hearing about it going to make me sick?
Probably not. Brooklyn artist Laura Ginn hosted a $100-per-head rat dinner at New York's Allegra LaViola Gallery last July, part of an exhibit called Tomorrow We Will Feast Again on What We Catch. Ginn, who was a vegetarian for 16 years prior to hosting the dinner, told us that rat meat "has a gamey flavor." The most edible part comes from the rat's stomach, and "it gets crispy when you cook it; it's actually quite tasty." Was it delicious enough that she'd eat rat again? "I wouldn't make it for Sunday dinner," she laughs. "But if somebody offered it to me, sure, I'd try it."

If someone offered it, I would try it. I think...
I've had kangaroo tail soup before. Not sure I'm up for rat, though...

Hey guys, so more personal stuff on my end: going through the process of a divorce and now needing to find a new home. I am hoping sooner than later, but I won't be able to GM effectively for a while. I will do what I can when I can, but things are not good for me currently. Wish me luck to finally get things together and get back into this like I should. Thanks again for your patience.

So sorry to hear it, BPC. I've had similar challenges and I know it can be tough. Hang in there, and I hope things go as smoothly as they can, given the circumstances.
Also: "Axe."

Hey guys, I wanted to let you know that I am going to quit GM'ing.
It was a hard choice to make. I've put a lot of effort in running this game and keeping it going over the two years it's been running but my enthusiasm for the game has left me. It's starting to feel more like a chore, as with more games I'm currently in to be honest. Though it feels like a chore it still pains me to leave this game.
I still have material for a few games hanging around in Dropbox, some time ago some of you offered to take over. I will gladly send the files to anyone who wants to continue the story. It has a few story starts, a ton of mob material, maps and a few ideas for new games.
I hope you guys understand.

Thank you so much for all the effort and work you've put into this, I love this insane group and the characters we've all brought together.
And I completely get it. I ran my own homebrew stuff in a long-form campaign on here and eventually I had to close it off. It just got too difficult to keep it going and wasn't fun. This has to be fun to be worth it. YOu had great ideas and a lot of variety and I loved the format of this game. Thanks for having me :)

Aw man, I hate to hear it. But I have to agree with what others have said: Find your fun. I ran a homebrew ages ago (in the days of AD&D!), so I know from experience it's a ton of work. I have no end of respect for anyone who takes on the task.
And frankly, this game -- which has been a total blast, by the way -- has run much longer than most of the other PBP homebrews I've been in. (Two different ones didn't get farther than the first encounter!) Know that your efforts have been greatly appreciated! No matter what happens from here, I will remember this game fondly.
Here's wishing you health, happiness, and FUN!
DM Bigrin: I'll see your 5" and raise you 3" more (from Friday evening/Saturday; today was the first day that got above freezing). Astoundingly, no loss of power or connectivity for me. Hopefully your area will get straightened out soon. Hang in there!

Thanks for not spitting me out ;P And as I said before, it was a very fun game with you all in it!

GM, thanks for running the game! It's been a blast as long as it lasted, which was pretty long for a PbP homebrew!
It's been fun playing with all of you in this game, my fellow players. I hope to see you in future games!

I totally get the GM burn out and really appreciate all the work you did on this campaign to keep us all entertained. I fully agree with everyone else's thoughts on this and will remember this game and it's characters fondly. Though if I had to put his whole experience into one word I'd have to go with "AXE!"

Yes, that would be a nice summary! I'll put the game on inactive, after I find the settings for it, in a few days.
