I got to attend Gary Con this year, sorta last minute. Sorry to not post. Internet at the air b&b was sketchy and I seldom got back to the room before midnight.

Ah, Gary Con. Do they have 1e game this year?
Last year there was a Gary Con Online but didn't advertise it at all, so obviously no one sign up for games.

There were a few 1e games. I played two and both were good but we had 3 players at 1 table and 4 at the other. I was told next year 1e would not be offered. - not enough interest. Plenty of 2e and of course a lot more of AD&D 5e, most of which was the new 2024 edition, which I also played. There were as many non-Adventure League as Adventure League games. I played two AL Ravenloft games with the author of those mods and they were fantastic. And with all the pathfinder and 5e games going on, that was a small fraction of total games. So many good choices. So many big names in the industry there. I heard about one room of all cthulhu games that was played in darkness the entire time. Everyone one of those flickering electric tea lights.

OK. Cool. Greyveil will accept. To explain my caution just this past weekend I played a Ravenloft mod where we found a pendant with werewolf tooth on it. You can change into a werewolf with it but if you choose do so you become chaotic evil and loose that character at the end of that scenario.

Wow, that is... hardcore.

I'm aware of similar cases in PFS, but they are not easy to accidentally walk into. And atonement fixes most of them.

To be clear, if you used this power to "wolf out" you as the player understood the consequences. It would be a chance to role play to note if the character understood. Maybe a good way to retire a character. In Adventure League you can advance very fast (u car start at 5th if you want and level every time you play. For me at least this means less attachment to any one character.

Oh and speaking of leveling, is the next mod the same level range?

It has 88 as the first two digits (on page 1 here) but no worries, I can fix it in the morning (when I can edit it) and repost…

Patchouli is going slow advancement

By that I mean Patchouli should be getting the half of everything (except Day Job): 0.5xp, 1 prestige point, and 1657gp instead. Could you please adjust the chronicle sheet to reflect that?

Questions: did we by any chance looted any scroll during the adventure? Patchouli's inquisitor archetype gave her a book (which hits really hard) that act as spellbook as well, so I'm looking for the opportunity to add spells into it.

Here's Patchouli's spellbook if our alchemist want to grab a spell or two:
1st lvl: Divine Favor, Shield of Faith, Bless, Heighten Awareness, Protection from Evil, Remove Fear, Expeditious Retreat, True Strike, Litany of Weakness, Keep Watch, Gorum’s Armor, Comprehend Languages, Alarm
2nd lvl: Invisibility, Resist Energy, Bloodhound, Honeyed Tongue, Stricken Heart, Tongue, See Invisibility

Thanks Patchouli. I can copy both Bloodhound and Tongues, and will, even though they are both 3rd level to me. I'll also copy Stoneskin as a 4th level spell. Much appreciated. Nice that you get access to these spells early. :)
