sense motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Bauble is clueless. Not sure what she means about all that canvas and reality stuff. He's too busy using up the last few moments of his fly spell to notice anyway.

Clandelve lets out a sigh of relief as the summoner closes the portal. He begins to look down apprehensively.
"The magic keepin' me in the air is bound tae wear off soon...I should git down. But well done, all."

Mr. P watches Bauble obliterate Verakas with admiration, and heaves a sigh of relief. "Aye, that bird lady will trouble this region no more, I'm thinking."
Realizing that the Rift has not closed, however, fills Mr. P with a sense of doom: I dunno if I can hit *that* with my lance... until Lucija waves her hands and sends it packing.
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
Mr. P doesn't get much of the undertones of Lucija's commentary, but that's just fine because now the city folk below have been saved. "Well done, lass!"
He suggests that they look around the barge and see if they find anything of interest before returning to the ground below. If we have enough time before the various sources of Fly wear off. Or perhaps we can simply pilot the barge down to the ground?
Thanks for running, GM, I enjoyed this one very much! I don't think I've ever played a scenario with Mr. P that gave him so much opportunity to charge and ride by. Perfect for a flying cavalier-type! :-)

Shifting back to regular air elemental form Vermin casts Detect Magic and scouts all over (and under) the barge.

The team is able to collect much gold and shiny objects, and with time to spare they are able to make their way back down to the ground... eventually.
The town suffered without the team's assistance, many civilians dying. But, perhaps to their surprise, they fended off the terrible blobs and save themselves. It is also revealed that around the time the team defeated the storm queen, a giant spy, using a magical hat to disguise them as a human, attempted to escape but was caught. Had the team stayed behind to help the town, more lives might have been saved and the town might have seen more of the team's impressive battle prowess, but so would have the spy and the stormqueen and her minions would have undoubtedly better prepared for their attack.
Returning to Zoarth is rather uneventful... he seems shocked that Verkas was behind everything, but he feels little in the way of his remorse for his actions, and ultimately regards the news of Verakas with some contempt.
Appreciative, he helps the team research and unlock the secrets of the book of titans, and will preform the ritual required to allow it to be used. The pathfinders mission a success, they are able to go home, their gold sacks much heavier, but unsure if they killed the real monster...

Suitably impressed with Zoarth's knowledge, Lucija attempts to regale him with the potential benefits of a longer-term relationship with the Dark Archive.

*clenches tiny fists in frustration*

Proudefeets learns all of this and scratches his head in frustration. "See, that's what's so dern tough 'bout doin' good stuff all the time. Was Madame Verakas evil or not? She sure shouldna been raining goop on the city, that's fer sure! But why'd Mister Zoarth let his cats kill her birds in the first place? That's a mystery for sure. May the blessings of Chaldira be upon 'em, and on those poor birdies too."

The whole morality thing is not particularly interesting to Bauble and leaves the others to their pontifications.
