Sorry to be slow to the party - family in town right now.

Before the fight began, Mr. P would have scanned the giants to see if they were evil (I'm assuming so from everything that has happened, but the mention of fleeing children has me concerned that perhaps we are pillaging a camp of minding-their-own-business giants?). He would have also buffed himself with his wand of Divine Favor and his wand of Protection from Evil. Lastly, is there any evidence that they are slave-holders (like the very first group that we encountered with the wolves and ogres)?

Assuming they are evil... Mr. Proudefeets swiftly declares a smite against the two headed giant and sends the Griffon wheeling into a lance charge against him, riding past the target after the attack. They are flying at 20' above the ground, high enough to fly over the head of the smaller dinosaur, but low enough to still lance-attack the two headed giant.

+1 adamantine lance attack, charge, higher ground, haste, smite, vs known slavers, power attack, divine favor: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 + 1 - 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 + 1 - 3 + 2 = 23

Damage, spirited charge, power attack, etc.: 3d6 + 78 ⇒ (1, 4, 5) + 78 = 88

Plunder and Peril Ship 1 Plunder and Peril Ship 2

This is kinda a case of "Are goblin babies evil?" unfortunately. I, as a GM, fall on the side of actions and intent make you evil, not birth, but due to culture and predilection, hill giants don't really make it to adulthood without committing the actions that would make them register as evil. So kids wouldn't register as evil, but even the young adults very much do, so you're safe on the paladin front.

Mr. Proudefeet flies at the two headed giant, but something distracts him and he looks up at the last moment, missing the creature even with his divine assistance.

Bates steps up and carves the giant in front of him into pieces, and Lucija's demon does the same, but misses his killing blow.

Vermin, Sparky, and his Ankylosaurus friend step up and make up for Mr. Proudefeet's distraction with a pummeling of doom.

Anky tail: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
damage: 3d6 + 12 ⇒ (6, 4, 6) + 12 = 28

Vermin Bite: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26

damage: 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15

Vermin grab: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28

The ettin is alive... if barely.

The blue giant steps back a bit and grabs a stone from the ground and chucks it at Farkas, him being the largest, closest target.

Stone throw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Farkas is decidedly unhappy as he is beamed over the head with the rock and growls at the incoming meals. But before the first rock even hits the ground, 3 more come sailing through the air at Vermin!

Stone Throw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Stone Throw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

Stone Throw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

They hit Vermin, but bounce off his thick hide to the ground without hurting him. The distraction that caused Mr. P to miss was the appearance of 3 more giants from the cave mouth up ahead! These 3 however, look different from the other giants. They are three identical male giants. They wear banded armor and tote massive two handed axes, so they are clearly not typical members of their kind. Their gear is well maintained and their stoop is less pronounced, which makes them even more different than their fellows. They seem relatively alert and ready for action.

Before the Pathfinders can figure out what exactly is up with these three interlopers, the three rocks that vermin has been pummeled with STAND UP! Looking like blocky men made of stone, they reach out at Vermin, trying to drag him down! They provoke from vermin

Grapple attempt (Checking for crits): 1d20 ⇒ 7

Grapple attempt (Checking for crits): 1d20 ⇒ 12

Grapple attempt (Checking for crits): 1d20 ⇒ 15

however, the little guys fail miserably at the attempt.

Meanwhile, Farkas tries to have another taste of giant.

Bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
damage: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (1, 5) + 14 = 20
trip: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

He Rips into the giant, taking a great big chunk out of him, but not bringing him down yet either.

Whoever wrote this adventure liked their big moving part set pieces!

I neglected to move Mr. P on the map due to computer battery dying when I last posted. I've moved his position now to where his charge would have taken him. This would not have provoked from any of the enemies who were on the map then, but would offer him as a potential target to one of the elemental creatures who just popped up (assuming that he can hit 20' up in the air).

Plunder and Peril Ship 1 Plunder and Peril Ship 2

The elemental creatures cannot hit that high up. And sorry, thought i rolled those slow rolls,

Slowed yellow giant?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Slowed ettin?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Blue is dead now, so doesn't matter, yellow is slowed and ettin is not. Bauble, blue was the one who hit farkas, not the blue enforcer. Sorry for the confusion... but considering with that roll being able to insta-gib the guy who hit wolfy, i figure Bauble would kill that one instead, so moved your character. Hope you don't mind, if you would like to change your action i'll retcon.

Vermin, Sparky, and his big beefy dino friend begin laying about the tiny distracting annoyances that unfortunately delay them. While the annoyances are killed easily, it does prevent Vermin and his team from bringing their force to bear against the enforcers.

Bate lashes the enforcer with his whip as it struggles in vermin's grasp. It ends up being a tenderizing action for sparky as the dino pet proceeds to chew up and rip apart the enforcer.

Vermin himself moves forward and bites at the remaining red enforcer...

and finally hits with a wallop!

but not enough to stun the enforcer.

He tries to pull himself away from the tentacles grasping him, prompting attacks from Vermin and the big tailed dino...

OK. Now I am confused. In you earlier post you indicate that Mr. Proudefeets is up. But then you have Sparky attack with a single attack only? And why would the bite provoke? Also for that third troll to move in to where it is below Sparky it certainly would provoke. As I stated I am back. I am posting. Why bot Sparky? And why do the trolls get to go again before the rest of us act?

Sorry for the delay in posting - life has been a bit hectic.

How high is the mouth of the cave? Since the giants came out of it I'm guessing/hoping that there is some room? This action assumes that there is enough room - let me know if not and I'll most likely delay.

Mr. P charges forward on his trusty griffon to the very brink of the cave entrance, from where he attempts to lance the nearest troll (upon whom he declares a smite), and then, just as quickly, he wheels in mid-charge and moves off to the side.

Lance attack, Power Attack, Smite, haste, divine favor, charging, higher ground: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 23 With possible cover adjustment from Sparky?

dmg: 3d6 + 75 ⇒ (4, 5, 6) + 75 = 90 bypasses all DR

Does Mr. P have a second turn to take now?

Sorry, let me try and explain what happened.

Explanation of events spoiled to save space:

Sequence of Events:
1.)Vermin orders Sparky into the cave while he uses the pearl to recover a spell. Upon entering the cave, the trolls become active and attack as they where waiting, but I decided sparky would see them and not be caught flatfooted, even if he was caught off guard.
2.) Mr. Proudfeet is up as the last person to take a action.
3.) Due to Mr. Proudefeets having hetic life recently, I decided to "Delay" him for after the trolls.
4.) The Trolls take their turn. Due to them attempting to grapple without improved grapple, the provoke from Sparky who I botted a bite attack for his AOO to save time. The Third troll moves in, once again provoking but since Sparky doesn't have combat reflexes, he only gets the 1 AOO against 1 troll.
5.)Trolls turn end. Because the trolls where in the initiative (Which is why you continued in init), you just weren't aware of them because they won't leave the cave and spend their time grousing and preparing to attack the first person to step in the cave, the team is now up.

Mr. Proudefeet thrusts his lance forward, but clips the edge of the cave trying to not hit Sparky, his lance glancing off harmlessly.

Mr. P attempts his charge attack a second time, against the same (smited) troll, this time simply riding past the cave entrance and thrusting his lance through as he does so:

Lance attack, Power Attack, Smite, haste, divine favor, charging, higher ground: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 23 With possible cover adjustment from Sparky?

Still trolls full attacked twice before anyone else got to act. So still confused about that. No such thing as a surprise round while in melee and certainly no such thing as a free full attack surprise round. Seems to me they should have had a single attack readied, which would have reset their initiatives. But I cannot think of any way they get a full attack and then still get a second turn before Sparkly acts. Also if Sparky hits with his AOO the damage comes off the grapple attempt so it might not succeed. Please note I am not complaining, only still trying to ascertain what went down.

Plunder and Peril Ship 1 Plunder and Peril Ship 2

That was a error in my part, I always forget you can only ready standard actions, bad habit. It didn't actually matter in this case, but def my bad on that one. Also my bad, I've never actually seen that rule for the deduction on attack penalty! As shame for my failures, Sparky will be the one grappling since his bite attack means at his CMB he autograpples the troll instead since that's his training for attacks.

I'm going to assume that everyone communicates the fact that there are trolls in there. Bauble will head for a position with a nice vantage point and fire off an empowered (using his acrimony veil) fireball with the edge of its effect just beyond his allies.

Intensified Fireball damage: 10d6 + 14 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 3, 1, 6, 4, 1, 5, 1) + 14 = 42, DC 19

"Bauble FRY trolls. Trolls not like fire, but Bauble LOVE fire."

Bloody hell, this is going to go faster than I thought...

A troll's worst enemy is fire.

Unlucky for these trolls, these pathfinders have a LOT of it to throw around.

With the sudden rush of a fireball, a flame wall, and incoming angry dino teeth, the trolls are VERY quickly dispatched, with much screaming and roaring and writhing on the ground.

NOOOOW we'll drop out of combat... yeesh.

PATHFINDERS WIN! VICTORY!

Sparky drags all the trolls out of the cave simply because they did not want to come out.
