Hammerhand takes a moment from slaughtering giants to attack the raging triceratops. Unfortuantly, the best is well armored, so only two of his attacks hit, but one of them is the tripping shield bash which causes the beast to tip over. As the beast falls, Mr. P flies in and slams into it, dealing massive damage!

With the beast down, Sparky does his job and launches himself onto the beast and claws it over and over again, stopping when it stops moving as he was trained to. Going to call it here, I'll say the triceratops is currently bleeding out, as is Vermin so someone might wanna help the poor guy out!

PATHFINDERS WIN!

He begins climbing down the statue, his levitation spell to get up there having expired in all the hubub. It'd look less dignified on someone smaller perhaps, but his sheer size makes even his fumbling climb down look like a force of nature at work. Larger than the other giants by far, the Cloud Giant is followed and perched on by dozens of cats.

In fact, the pathfinders notice that as the last of the giant attackers are slain, cats start appearing from everywhere, dozens of them appearing out of hiding in nooks and crannies.

With Frostbite still running on Sparky some of the damage he did would be non-lethal so the triceratops maybe is not bleeding?

He indicates the plethera of cats. Some of the more wild ones let bauble approach and allow him to pet him a exact number of times, specific to each cat, before walking away or nipping his hands. Some just want nothing to do with him at all. Cats.

He walks over to vermin and pulls out what on a normal person would be a 5 gallon drum sized jug, but for him seems like a tiny vial. Delicately, he pours it down Vermin's throat a "Drop" at a time.

He will continue to apply potions of CMW to you until your at full health.

He stands back up and sighs.

As for who the blaggards where.... Other than the fact that they where from the local Jurd tribe, I haven't the foggiest idea. We've never bothered each other in the past, and they've never found quarrel with me or my companions.

She said as much. "Glory for Jurd" and "Jurd warriors will triumph!" and a few other choice insults. There aren't any other local tribes that I know of that would be able to pull something like this off anyways.

The cloud giant looks at the bodies and makes a rather... disgusted face.

I suppose I needed to dispose of them anyways... wolfy is a pet of some sort I assume? I am sure a single giant will feed a wolf for a while. I'll remove the others later.

Getting the triceratops out of "here" will be a lot easier if it can walk out. I doubt we could all carry it out and disassembly would be quite messy. :)

As Vermin recovers, first from Sir Mr. Proudefeets's wand and then from the healing potions he shifts back to his more normal self. Once standing he moves the the triceratops and checks it. Giving the others a look of gratitude he finally adds to the conversation.

Great Zoarth, we are please to have come to your aid, for we see aid from you as well. We are on a quest from our leaders and seek both your guidance and skill in a matter arcane. As to what happened here, I will add that were I an outside force with a desire to attack you I might well choose to blame the Jurd tribe to cause you to misaim any retribution. Such things bear investigation I think And as to the Frost Giant, since he was compelled we thought it better not to kill him in case he was allied to you. Perhaps he is a good place to start that investigation. Could the Jurds have summoned and controlled powerful devils?

Zoarth looks at vermin with curiosity for a bit than snaps his fingers in remembrance, causing a small thudding BOOM to echo in the chamber.

AH! You must be the Pathfinders I received a letter about! You have the... oh what was it... book of big? tome of giant? A magic book you wanted me to study due to it's unique giant focused properties. I was very much looking forward to that.

He frowns.

However, until this situation is resolved, I'm afraid that will have to wait. Such study will take me many days, and I am worried that another attack might come while I work.

The less Clandelve wants to do with the cats, the more interested they seem in him. He nudges them away with his foot, but some of them keep trying to rub against his leg.

I take responsibility for the frost giant getting away Zoarth. I was not willing to put him down before I knew if he was aligned to you. Were we not rushed to come to your aid I would have tried to discern his loyalties right after we subdued him. Vermin explains.

Examining the remaining potions, Mr. P selects eagle's splendor, cat's grace, and water breathing.

He looks over the giant bane sword with interest, checking to see if it reeks of evil. "This could be quite useful if we face more of those evil giants, if only we had a way to use it effectively." I'm assuming that it is Large? Proudefeets being Small, I think cannot use it at all (correct?), but perhaps someone else can?

Technically, since it's a greatsword, nobody can wield it without either shrinking it via spell/item such as Iron Lords Transforming Slivers or growing large to match.

The sword does not reek of evil, just merely magic.

You'll have to compensate Zoarth if the spell has expensive material components, but otherwise have at! Only one displacement potion and Vermin has already grabbed it. You can try to trade him for it though if you think you need it. :)

There's also a potion of +4 INT still available I think, which could be helpful for a Magus, depending on your build. Would boost the DC of any save or suck spells.

I think that only Lesser Angelic Aspect can be paid into a potion, which won't give you wings. Unless I'm mistaken.

Do you know nothing of our potential enemy to help us choose more wisely of the boon you offer? Vermin asks Zoarth.

Potion thoughts. CL 6 is only l level above the required CL 5 for a regular level 3 potion, so not sure that is a driving consideration. Still its extra duration. And remember personal spells cannot be made potions. Ablative Barrier might be nice for a melee type. 6 hours or until used up. Likely 6 hits. Aura Sight is nice but 6 minutes. Ohhh, Draconic Reservoir - 60 minutes and would be fun if we knew the energy type we needed to ward against. Fearsome Duplicate would be fun for Vermin as it create a duplicate 2 sizes larger and Vermin is already huge. :) Hard to beat Heroism. Rage might be fun for some of us.

Drat. No wings? I'll go for a Resinous Skin potion then. Assuming he says he cannot do the flying angel bit. I don't know whats left then. Seems like everything was taken so he will just take protection from fire, owl's wisdom, and Resinous Skin. The stat boosting potions are kind of useless at our level. If you need it then you got the belt or headband.

Vermin will also choose Heroism. Rage was a close second. Still tempted to take a level of barbarian with this build.

Zoarth notes down everyone's request. After some chatting about what they want, he leads everyone to some guest bedrooms... sized for giants, a single bed is a vast expanse that a couple dozen people could easily sleep on. They are however, comfy and well prepared.

The Jurd tribe makes their homes to the north... it's a fair ways for you small folk, about a weeks travel. My larder is plenty full, so feel free to provision yourself as needed. However, I must caution you... I have seen a dragon that hunts in those parts. I am unsure of what kind of dragon it is, as I have not ventured close enough to study it properly. Only that it is not of a metallic or chromatic sheen. While fascinating, I have no intention on drawing it's Ire, and I suggest you follow the same suggestion. There is not much further advice I can offer you, but feel free to ask before you go.
