A crackling sound comes over the headset as Timothy moves one of the pilots out of his chair and takes the controls. The yoke is heavy and no matter how much you attempt to level it, the plane lists to the side. You are however able to slow its descent, giving you more time to deal with the pilots.
"PanAm 237, this is Karachi Control. Copy mayday. We have you at 12000 feet, bearing 250 at 350 knots, can you confirm?"
Meanwhile, Ward checks on the pilots one at a time. Each one is breathing very shallow and has a low pulse. Make a Medicine/ Diagnosis check please.
As Natalie recovers from her predicament, some of the passengers are getting more restless. One of them, a tall olive - skinned man with a dark scraggly beard and a heavy accent, mistakes you for a stewardess and begins a determined march towards you. "What is happening? ! We have a right to know! " The other passengers add to his query. .

Timothy K Smith |

Smith looks at the dials Notice if necessary 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
and says, "Roger, confirm heading and altitude. Something must be causing a problem with the flaps. Karachi control, I have never flown a plane before. What are your instructions, over?"
This reminds me of the bundy episode of the Unit...

Jason "Snake" Ward |

Medicine Knowledge: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Dead or no, Jason stripes one of the pilots, the one that looks to have about the same size clothes as him, of his uniform and puts it on. "I'm going to pose as a pilot to ease the passengers."
Jason exists the cockpit, "Hello, everyone. I am Captain Ward. There is a minor technical malfunction in the control systems. Is anyone here a doctor? One of the other pilots was injured and requires assistants, but I have a man in there who will get us on the ground safely. If you have any more questions, I'm here to answer them."

Natalie Burns |

Natalie notes the unconscious two, a concerned look on her face. When Jason starts the bluff, she steels herself to go along with it, if needed. He beat her to the lie, so the least she can do is back it.
is my red cross manual in storage, or in overhead? Might be a little bit of help if I can get to it.

Jason "Snake" Ward |

Sorry if I stole your spotlight, but I figured I'd make a better liar right now, and I knew you had the Red Cross thing going, so I thought you might have some medical expertise. I only now realized you don't :/ I hope there's no hard feelings. Plus, it's the 80s, so they are more likely to believe that a guy is a captain than a woman. Sad fact of life that people treat women that way :(

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

*rolls some dice behind the screen* Haven't watched the Unit, but heard it was a decent show.
Natalie remembers that her manual is in her carry-on bag above her seat, which she will have to work her way back to.
The passengers look incredulous at Ward, but they seem to believe him. A flurry of questions and statements bombard you, some in broken English, many in foreign languages. The ones you can understand..
"Will we get there on time?"
"Will we be reimbursed for this?"
"Oh thank you. Allah be with you."
"As long as we get there safely."
"Never flying this airline again."
"You don't look old enough to fly."
"Who is flying this plane?"
etc..
Meanwhile..
"Control copies." There is a pause. A very long few seconds later, another voice comes on.
"Pilot, this is Kareem Almuhed. I fly for Pakistan International. Control tells me you know some basics about instrument reading. I can help you, but I need to know if you have someone trying to revive the pilots."
At that moment, the Steward returns with the first aid kit, as requested.

Jason "Snake" Ward |

We will be delayed, but the extent of which I do not know. You will all be reimbursed as per company policy, with a 50% bonus reimbursement as well. Those of you who fly this airline again will get a free ticket as well, as a show of good faith. The auxiliary pilot is flying us down right now. I am more than old enough to captain this plane, thank you very much. And Allah be with you all. Now, I ask again: Is anyone here a doctor? A nurse? A lifeguard? Anything? Anyone?

Natalie Burns |

Natalie manages a grimace as she looks at the two downed pilots. "I've got that red cross manual in my carry on, it's bound to help. I'll be right back." She gives an encouraging nod to Jason as she makes her way back to her seat to retrieve her carry-on luggage.
Dex 1d20 ⇒ 13
Either way, she prepares for the possibility of several items coming down out of the cargo, considering the bumpy terrain.
If I can shift to 'fight defensively' after I get to my seat, I'll do so. I just picture everything falling out of the hatch!

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

"Copy pilot. Going to guide you in as best we can. First thing. ..", Kareem goes through a series of checks with Smith and continues to give instruction as to how to land a Boeing 707 when you've never flown one before. I'll need a series of checks here shortly
Natalie manages to get to get seat and retrieve the needed manual without much fuss. As she arrives back to Ward, the steward says, "I have some training in first aid, but it was a two week course."
-Posted with Wayfinder

Jason "Snake" Ward |

Jason reports to the cockpit and takes a seat as Smith's copilot, I'm not such a good doctor. I'll let the red cross agent and first aid knower get the serious business done, and I'll just play pilot. Now, anything you need of me? Maybe the air conditioner controls?

Natalie Burns |

Natalie opens up the manual, "I'm a liason, not an aide, but at least I should be able to lend a hand. Captain Ward can see to the passengers if they act up. We'll do what we can for the pilot."
She looks into the manual, and moves to aid the steward.
I'll aid another, and if the manual gives a gear bonus, I'll give it to the steward of course. I said to myself, 'should I get Medicine?' and I said, 'I'm sure someone'll have it.' Sure wish I had taken feat training : bandage for at least a mild bonus!
Aid another! 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

As one of the pilots starts to come to, Smith thinks he finally has the hang of flying. The pilot, though somewhat groggy, gets up and takes a seat next to him, after shooing Ward out of the way. "I.. I don't know who you are, but thank you. Let's get these people on the ground safely and I will make sure PanAm thanks you personally." He doesn't wait for a response and puts on a headset and starts speaking to ground control. After that, he starts ordering Smith to push some buttons and turn some dials in order to right the plane.
The steward continues to try to revive the other two pilots with Natalie watching on.
As Ward gets up, he notices someone in the back of the plane, pushing his way past the other passengers towards the front, very much in a hurry...
Director Chavez was never a directly nice man, so when he offers you a cup of coffee during your briefing, you are genuinely suspicious. "Razor? Interesting. I'm sure I'll hear the details later. I've just sent three agents on a gathering mission to Afghanistan. They need a babysitter to make sure they get home safe with the cargo. You're it. As soon as you arrive, make contact, meet with the local ISI representative and be on your way with the mission. The details are in the dossier in front of you. You leave tonight." He doesn't say much more as he turns and leaves the briefing room, a single file folder is on the table in front of you.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

The pilot looks at Smith. "One moment we were going through approach procedure and the next, we all started feeling drowsy. We tried to fight it off...I was the last to go down."

Natalie Burns |

Natalie's relief is apparent, though she wonders exactly how much she did to help, and moves to take care of crowd control for the moment. She keeps a watchful gaze on the crowd, though she didn't see what Ward sees, Timothy's comment puts her on guard. "You may all relax, it seems the co-pilot was simply hypoglycemic, and was low on sugar. PanAm appreciates your civility and composure."
She stands at the entry to the cabin itself, unarmed.

Jason "Snake" Ward |

Jason takes the dagger and walks slowly through the plane towards the man, "The other pilot is awake now, and is getting us on the ground. There is nothing to worry about.". He tries to simply blend in as he approaches the man and tries to conceal the dagger as well.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Control comes back with "Copy pilot, alerting local authorities now. "
The other pilots start to come to and the one flying the plane answers. "We each had something different to eat, and none of us felt ill, just very tired. "
With the plane back under control, most of the passengers attempt to return to their seats, except for the one pushing his way to the front.
Ward make a Stash Item Sleight of Hand check and then roll for Initiative.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

As the man approaches, he seems to be going for something in his jacket. Sure enough, he pulls out a knife of his own.
This sends the rest of the passengers into a fear frenzy, to which he replies, "Shut up..shut up! All of you, shut up!"
The passengers comply, leaving Ward facing him in the aisle.
"I don't know who you are, but you are interfering in the Great Jihad. This plane is mine and we are all going down with it. Now get out of my way!"
Ward, you have surprise. It will cost you a move half action if you draw the knife. He is about 5 feet from you.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

yes Natalie, you would have to climb over seats and passengers in order to get behind the assailant.

Timothy K Smith |

Notice the quiet 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
He turns to the pilot in a whisper and says,"The threat is not over, lock this door after I leave and do not open it unless you here tap tap tap TAP tap tap... any other knocking, do not open the door until after we land"
Smith turns to join Ward and Nat: Initiative 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

want to post what happens, but what is Ward attacking with? Does he draw the knife?
-Posted with Wayfinder

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Okay, just wanted to clarify, as it matters with initiative and such.
The terrorist doesn't look surprised as Ward comes in with Smith's blade in an upward thrust. He steps to the side, as much as he can, flipping his own knife to a combat hold, rather than a threatening hold.
Surprise Round Over
Round 1 Initiative

Terrorist (14)

Johnny "Razor" Macomb |

I hope I am okay to start posting in here. Thought Bloodmoon gave me the go ahead.
Meanwhile thousands of miles away and a few below...
Johnny Macomb waits until Chavez leaves the briefing room to rifle through the mission folder. He takes his time reading through each agents description. The profiles are not long and consist mainly of physical descriptions and head shots (the kind that don't leave behind a bloody mess). Johnny whistles through his teeth when looking at Natalie's photograph. That's one fine looking agent He thinks to himself as he reads about her skill set. When he gets to Ward's picture and description he nods slowly. Is this that guy Ward trying to work off his Daddy issues. Motivation to bleach his father's transgressions could get us all in deep trouble. Now this one can be useful if it comes down to a shoot out he thinks as he reads through Agent Smith's skill set. At least I won't have to babysit THAT much. Now who is it I am supposed to contact
Razor leans back in his chair as he reads through the dossier on the local ISI agent he is to rendezvous with. As he does his mind goes rapidly through a checklist of gear he will need to pack and get to HIS, ok the agency's, Helicopter.
DM what can you tell me about the ISI contact that was in the file

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Smith moves through the aisle as best he can, slipping past Ward in a surprise move to attempt to grapple the terrorist. He manages to get a hold of his arm holding the knife and struggles to maintain it.
I had thought everyone was going to post their actions, but that's okay. The Boeing 707 only had a single aisle, with two passengers on one side and three on the left.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Smith please make an Athletics (Str)check to maintain a hold on the terrorist..

Johnny "Razor" Macomb |

Razor finds his mission gear which includes lining up a requisition of Helicopter out of the Japanese Army Base. Humming "Flight of the Valkyries" to himself he lines up the next available flight out to Japan. Damn that was a good movie. What was the name of the girl I took that film? Whoever it was she didn't like it said it was too violent. Clear sign that she wasn't the right one for me. Violence seems to be more my dance partner than any one lady ever has.
Hope that flight plan is ok. I assume all mission gear picks are acceptable since I haven't heard otherwise.

Natalie Burns |

If it does only take one half action to move to flank, I do this, otherwise, next round is soon!
Natalie calls out to the crowd, though her intent is upon the knife-wielder, " Nobody panic, CQC training is administered to all flight personel for your protection."
Fighting Defensively
Diversion against Terrorist
Bluff 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 -4 for fighting defensively so an 11 vs Terrorist's sense motive.
If I win, his Initiative lowers by 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Half action: move to flank Terrorist.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

So as I mentioned in the discussion thread, I will roll for you guys from now on if I need a reactionary roll so we can keep the game moving along.
As Smith maintains his strong hold on the terrorist's arm, Ward climbs over some seats and passengers to get to him,
Athletics(Maneuver): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14 and is now standing on the other side.
The terrorist continues to struggle against Smith's grip and is too distracted by Natalie's movement,
Athletics (Maneuever): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1 to be able to fight back effectively. Natalie is unable to make any progress and instead falls flat on her face in the aisle behind Smith due to a sudden shudder in the plane.
Round 2
Smith(25)
Ward(18)
Burns(13)
Terrorist(9)
A make shift map.. CBSTW
C= Cockpit, S= Smith, W= Ward, B= Burns, T= Terrorist
You make your flight plans easily enough, landing periodically at various refueling posts all the way into Pakistan, where you are directed to land at Karachi airport. When you arrive, you hear that a plane is coming on approach that has to be quarantined because of possible terrorism. Unfortunately, this also means that once the plane lands, they are going to ground everyone until the situation is resolved.
While you are having your OH-58 Kiowa looked at and refueled, a ground crew personnel walks up to you holding out a piece of paper. "Macomb?"

Natalie Burns |

I *would* pummel, but it's a full round action.
Natalie rights herself, using a seat to help steady herself in the volatile wind condition. " On it!" She exclaims, bringing her elbow up and across the terrorist's face, a restrained action done to hopefully put this guy down properly.
+6 to strike when unarmed, -4 for subdual, +2 for flanking.
Subdual Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 for 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 subdual damage
Happy hundred posts, all!
