About Jason "Snake" Ward

BACKGROUND:

Jason "Snake" Ward, 26, is the son of Franklin S. Ward, a highly respected, and highly feared, officer in the Central Intelligence Agency. From youth, Franklin pushed Jason into the agency, and Jason might have gone off the cliff if it weren't for his silver tongue. Whereas Franklin wanted Jason to be a soldier, Jason had other plans, and managed to persuade his father to let him be a spy instead. Still being forced to train, Jason was at least content that this was something he could was actually good at, though he still learned to master handguns and throwing knives. It was at the academy that he earned a repuation as a "silver tongued snake oil salesman," lated shortened to his nickname "Snake."

For years, Jason worked his way through the ranks, recieving no special treatment for his father's position. Many, in fact, who knew both of Ward's father and his success, resented him for it. And so, it was no surprise, that 2 years ago, they would all have justification to punish Ward. Because all those years ago, on March 23rd, 1978, Franklin was caught selling high-level secrets to the Soviet Union. He managed to escape the CIA and go into hiding, but Jason was disgraced. Franklin's actions reflected poorly on Jason, who was taken in for questioning. After assuring the CIA that he knew nothing of it, he was allowed the remain in the agency: After all, Jason hated his father as well, so why would he hide him?

So for years, Jason worked to regain his reputation, and has partly managed to do so. All the way from a mere low-level office worker, to a supervised agent, back to where he is now. While his repution is rebuilt from the shambles he worked his way up from, some still hold resentment for his father's act of betrayal. But now, stationed at Camp Peary, awaiting assignment...
