Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

loving this fight, even if I can't roll above a 5 to save my own butt

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

actually I did have a +2 still, now that I think about it. +6 to strike - 4 for defensive = +2

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

Ok got it BAB = +2 +4 Chr -4 Fighting Defensively. All good thanks for clearing up my mind. Now quit stealing the DM's bad rolls.

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

no joke!

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

Ummmmmm Correct me if I have this wrong but isn 't Ward close by to Natalie and Russian Woman Agent with Natalie knocked on the ground and he just leaves?

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

There is that. I like how noone actually noticed the other white lady in the office.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

In an Intel office, there are all kinds of people. .. ;-) you are correct though, Ward is at least aware of the agent, Natalie pointed her out before going in to investigate.

Male Witty Grifter Faceman 3 (6,000)

Can I hear them?

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Yes, definitely

Male Witty Grifter Faceman 3 (6,000)

Oh well, maybe next time. I already delcared my action.

The Exchange

M

I love the fact that Timothy actually knows the weaponry from this time frame. :D

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

Thanks! I have modeled my character after my uncle, CAT Shannon from Dogs of War and a Lt. Colonel Mackenzie fro SOF magazine.

During the Cold War, India got the majority of their arms from the Soviets, they thought the Indians were a strategic partner after the Sino-Soviet split against China. The Pakistanis bought mostly European NATO stuff from Belgium and Germany.

I really like these kind of games.

The Exchange

M

just as long as you forgive us narrativists who don't know all the ins and outs of the situation :D

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

Basically since Razor is out numbered 4 to 1 he plans on chasing these guys down stressing them out as they can't shake him. Once they are good and stressed out he will start bumping and grinding again. And maybe throw in a crisis at the end for good measure. It does me no good to get to lead 0 and have a firefight with a van full of unarmed men.
BTW does Razor know its 4 in the van?

Not entirely unrelated I never change my vitality points on my character to reflect the nights rest. I would regain 3 vitality per hour of rest and I was down 10. Should I update my character sheet to show full Vitality.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Razor saw four men get into the van before they left. Whether there were more in there before is up to question.

Yes, go ahead and add those points.

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

go get em, Razor!!

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

Going to try this strategy 2 more times and then try and cause an accident. And hope that I have a good opposed check on that turn.
DM Shadow let me know if you would like me to post multiple opposed checks in one post to speed up the gameplay or if you want the Chase to proceed round by round.

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

wow that was some lucky rolling some of those save rolls would have been trouble if they were the check roll.

Male Witty Grifter Faceman 3 (6,000)

I'm out of town until tomorrow night. So I won't be on until then, or most likely, until Friday. Sorry :(

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

Nat and Ward are the Charismatic types. I can help but my character doesn't have the interrogationy stuff in him.

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

yeah but my charisma can't help until i get another point of will. Last time all I had was a +1 total to my rolls.

side note: I may have shorted myself on skill points.

The Exchange

M

hmmm our GM brings up a point, we can at least assist each other, assuming CHA allows it. I'll post when I get a chance

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

DM what is your interpretation of page 367 "Further, the Prey's vehicle, if any, cannot move, either because it is broken (if the chase ended with a crash), or because it is trapped by the Predator's lead vehicle or the terrain." So my question is since the the chase ended in a crash is the van considered broken equaling 3 failed saves or is it 2/3 way to getting broken? And then another 3 to getting destroyed.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

It is close to broken, and trapped by the terrain, as in some of the bricks from the wall have collapsed onto its hood. It could be driven if it was dug out.

Damn, Macomb isn't taking any risks, is he? Also, I'm not sure if I need to do anything during this interrogation? I (my character) don't speak Russian and you're already rolling for me, it seems.

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

When outnumbered 4 to 1 you even the odds before asking any questions.

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

I would have killed them out of hand. Smith isn't a huge fan of indiscriminately killing women although he doesn't mind so much because of his experience in Vietnam.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

I was rolling for Ward since you said you were going to be away for a bit. Now that you're back, you're welcome to do something else, of course.

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

Thinking a single survivor could be a source of information.

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

Funny thing is that the whole chase took 1 Minute in game time.

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

was away for the weekend, I'll be back in touch shortly. step one: see if I know russian

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

I have a question about this interrogation. First off, if this DC has a max helpers thing, we're all sorta out. but also, if this is sorta needing done quick, the wiki does offer the 'streamlined version' in case you want.

If I can assist, I'll do so, as I really don't have any specialty in this field, the most I had last time was that +1 to the roll.

Male Witty Grifter Faceman 3 (6,000)

It makes sense that I'm botching my rolls seeing as I don't speak Russian :P I'm trying to charm her and probably insulting her in 3 different ways. In that case, actually: GM, Ward will stop trying to charm the Russian now.

Male Witty Grifter Faceman 3 (6,000)

Does my swiss army knife have pliers?

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Of course

-Posted with Wayfinder

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

Not in 1980 it didn't. The multitools didn't come out until the mid 1990s. The best you would have would be a weak pair of scissors. :)

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Sure they did. http://www.multi-tool.org/vintagepliers/hoffritz-plier-1.jpg?attredirects=0

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

I was going to say that my swiss army knife from the 805 had screw driver, tweezers, toothpick, scissors, can opener, bottle opener, corkscrew, several blades, nail filer, but no pliers but I had a cheap model.

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

I stand somewhat corrected but pliers weren't standard on swiss army knives. :) but its fine with me.

Male Witty Grifter Faceman 3 (6,000)

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, Smith :p Especially if it's a gift horse of torture.

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

Making do with less is how rangers do... :)

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

I know it was implied, but I got serious ewwwed out there just now.

That aside, I'd say Timothy's using Worse Cop to end this, but he doesn't have the will modifier for it. Hmmm

Male Caucasian Scout 3 Snoop 1

My character doesn't like this kind of work at all, but missing mission critical information that could get his comrades killed is not a risk he is willing to take.

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

would I need a knowledge roll to know why the KGB'd send a false agent to the consolate, because I sure don't understand why, OOCly.

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

why yes I shorted myself 4 skill points somehow.

I haven't corrected it, depending on what GM wants to do about it, if anything. Always fine with the 'you snooze, you lose' philosophy

Savage Rifts RotRwT

I haven't had a chance to look over that with a fine forth comb, but go ahead and spend those 4 and if there is a discrepancy, we'll fix it later. Right now I'm more concerned with how the story is going :-)

-Posted with Wayfinder

Female Human Advocate 2/ Martial Artist 1 20/20 Vit 11 HP

if there is an error, I'll gladly fix it, thanks. I'll update shortly.
updated: Slightly more canny, slightly more manipulative

Male Irish American Soldier 2/ Wheelman 2 38/38 V 16 W

I think Smith is right that the attack only makes sense as a diversion.

this is still a relevant question on my behalf

Mis or disinformation, alter records, incriminate someone, steal documents.
