GM Chyro |
Larro is still KO after that bit of healing.
@_@
Sele the Thorn |
I didn't want to use a further loh on him..
Sele heals him up with the wand and then has the sword on him and says
clw wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Where is Airk? And has anything happened to him?
GM Chyro |
Larro, is somewhat surprised he is still alive.
"You come in here disturbing our daily lives, beat down me and my buds, and then expect me to just talk?"
After that, he stays silent.
Sele the Thorn |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Sele jumps over with glee and hugs Vassago .. good to get you back.. then realises he was apprehending a hoodlum.
Utterly perplexed Sele is speechless for a second
"You attacked us, when we merely requested information about Airk, I think you should take this chance you've been given and speak, lest you
end up in a jail cell."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
GM Chyro |
Pity i can't favorite something twice.
So a +1 to the above.
Larro stays silent.
Spenser Quixote |
"Prithee, goodman, we art on a noble quest, and have need of earth-salted kenning we hath been told thee hold; though we be not of peerage, perhaps, I salute thee as a fine man-at-arms, and many's the tale of doughty warriors who meet as foes and part as allies, the hard nut of bellum blooming into the flower of pacem through proof of mettle. Wouldst thou nip so swich a Story in the bud so anticlimactically as this?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 additional +1 if we're in Absalom; you never specified where we are
Keera Airbornt |
Yes we expect you to talk after having been beaten. Why would you still be alive if not? thinks Keera. Fortunately she has learnt to wait and pet Sobrino instead of say everything she thinks.
GM Chyro |
Not specified?
Larro stays quiet, and defiant.
Butler:
Sir, may i suggest some more frightful words, if the polite ones fail to serve their purpose.
Spenser Quixote |
The best one for that might actually be Vassago, so giving him a chance....
Vassago Ignatio Ilsidore |
Vassago, tired of getting the run around from the man, looks at Larro as he gathers water from the surrounding air, forming two large fists of water around his hands, his eyes glowing with elemental energy. "Sir, you have wasted enough of my time and that of my friends. Speak now of what we want to hear or feel the horrific sensation of drowning where you stand as I shove this sphere of water right down your throat!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
GM Chyro |
Larro frowns with a slightly arrogant grin.
"You'd have to off all my patrons to get away with that, you know.
There's 12 of them who'd witness my murder. Explain that to the city guard."
"Last i heard, though, your quarry left permanently."
*Snikt*
Yes....thing is this guy's not the greatest source of information, before any magical means.
Sele the Thorn |
Sense motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Sele has no idea at Larro's motivations..
Keera Airbornt |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Keere sighs, bored to see how the thug is not cooperating a lot. You should try to do that without killing him, Vassago. This way he will have a better motivation to talk.
But before even trying, lets give him an oportunity to talk about Dargo Mar. Maybe he knows where to locate Dargo.
GM Chyro |
Larro shrugs.
"Think what you want, i'm just saying he's left."
He slightly looks at Keera, at her mentioning another name.
Sele the Thorn |
"We need something to go one.. anything?"
Keera Airbornt |
Keera moves toward the cavalier and whispers at his ear. Can you help Vassago and Sele to make this man talk about Dargo? I'll do it by myself, but some people think a blue girl is not very intimidating.
Spenser Quixote |
Sir Spenser looks up from trying to stop Lot from ransacking the bar.
"Quid'st I ought rattle my saber-tongue under these auspices?" He whispers back. "Yon dogsbody's checked us in a draughts-game of wits."
His mind refocused, he ponders the man's previous cryptic statement.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Okay, what does "*Snikt*" mean?
Spenser Quixote |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Sir Spenser turns to the others.
"My friends, we tarry and prattle here for naught. Our quarry art clearly no more. He hath run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible." He looks down at the big oaf. "Methinks with the goading of this cur."
He leans down to the big oaf.
"Dost thou deny it, sirrah?" He asks with dangerous gentility...
aid the following Intimidate check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
GM Chyro |
I doth sense a reference to Monty Python's Parrot sketch. :D
With Lot being told to come closer, the fishermen see their way clear and rush out.
Larro smiles faintly, though slightly more worried right now.
"I didn't even touch the guy."
His words sound like he might not have done so in person, but knows of it.
Sele the Thorn |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Spenser Quixote |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 FFS.
Spenser shares a dumbfounded look with Sele, then looks back at the others.
Keera Airbornt |
Sense motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
And Keera looks as confunded as the rest.
Also Spenser and Lot aided to the next intimidate check, and we haven't have anyone ;D
GM Chyro |
His eyes are trying to keep staying aimed at you, but for a second you see them faintly twitch towards the two (by now dead) buddies of his.
GM Chyro |
Butler:
Master, if i may, mayhaps searching the premisis would yield result.
Vassago Ignatio Ilsidore |
Vassago glares at the man, asking Spenser to 'watch over this cucaracha' as he looks around, seeing if they missed something in the hecticness of combat.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
And thanks GM; still catching up to the story in this game as I've been focusing on the PbP I'm GM'ing during my month involuntary hiatus.
GM Chyro |
Vassago casually walks towards the center of the inn, where he stands still to look at his surroundings.
Aside from the water below, nothing of interest is heard. He however notices there are more rooms than initially were visible, in the back.
One of which is locked....
Sele the Thorn |
Sele will accompany Vassago, just in case there are more minions. He is still holding the bad guys sword
"What have you found Vassago?"
GM Chyro |
No additional minions are found in the tavern.
Vassago Ignatio Ilsidore |
"There is more to this place to explore. Perhaps what we seek is within these chambers, mi amigo." He explores some of the other rooms until he reaches the locked one. "Senor Kenji, can you get us in?"
GM Chyro |
Butler:
Sir, young sir Kenji is on a mission break for the time being.
He said he had such an experience before.
Spenser Quixote |
"LOT! We art impedimented, and narry a canny box-man in view! Break yon threshold free of its hinges!"
Spenser mounts his steed in order to add that much more force to what he is about to do...
aid Lot's Strength check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
...unfortunately, he is exactly as much extra burden as extra force.
Lot |
*glikglikglikglikglik-snort*
Lot helps himself to one last bottle of liquid courage before barging into the uncooperative door.
Strength check to break down door: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 plus whatever salient modifiers I might be forgetting
GM Chyro |
Spenser decides to mount Lot, but has to dismount again at the doorway, which turn out to be sized for a medium humanoid.
The corridor to the rooms is but 5ft wide, likewise on their intersection.
Instead, he decides to ram his armored shoulder into the door.
At first he hears the hinges creak, and with the second shove, it breaks open.
The room is mostly organized, but it shows some traces of a hurried departure, for whatever reason.
It takes little effort, but you find a bunch of notes and a locked metal box.
Spenser Quixote |
Instead, he decides to ram his armored shoulder into the door.
At first he hears the hinges creak, and with the second shove, it breaks open.
I beg pardon! 'Twas mighty Lot did that, not I!
GM Chyro |
I know, but since Lot doesn't fit in the medium sized corridor where there door is in, i figured you'd have liked to do it yourself with that roll.
If you'd rather not consider it open, your call. :P
Spenser Quixote |
Darn, didn't see the corridor problem. Ah, well - I'm sure it's just as reasonable reasonable to say "plate armor > door" most of the time.
Sele the Thorn |
"Well done Amigo.. a mighty shove."
Sele will enter the room and look for any traps
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
"I'll look for traps, i'm not that good at finding them so any help would be good.
Keera Airbornt |
Keera and Sobrino move toward the room and help Sele. I, and my magic will help you my friend Keera says before casting guidance on herself and starts looking around.
Perception, guidance: 1d20 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 16 + 1 = 33
GM Chyro |
The team searches the room thoroughly, but no traps are found.
Yay, no fireball going off in your faces! :)
GM Chyro |
Vassago does indeed find something of interest.
Your quarry has ventured for Vaydren’s Might:
1,500 yards offshore in the Flotsam Graveyard, he has researched -and found it to be, beneath a one-mast ship known as the Iron Tide.
The Iron Tide is recognizable by its mast, as it is carved into the likeness of a woman clutching dangling, iron chains.
Sele the Thorn |
"Lets go then... and find us a ship to sail out to this graveyard or a boat maybe?"
Sele will then proceed to the docks once a consensus is reached
