Harlis nods and emerges. "I'm happy to follow along and aid. My statue doesn't encourage me to be the door opener. There is is still a door here to explore." he points while standing ready to help once opened.

Sele opens the door carefully.

The room is bare in decoration, the only adornment being four empty hammocks hanging from the rafters. The room reeks of brine and rotting wood.

A small hole in the stern sheds a bit of dim light. Another door leads to somewhere else.

Harlis follows up, shield at ready, but hand free to spell cast or draw longsword as needed.

With Harlis behind him, Sele checks the door....it's unlocked.
Cautiously opening it, he peers inside, where everything is dark.

One light cantrip from Harlis later, and Sele sees a cramped and empty room, save the pungent scent of the sea that wafts from the stairwell set in the center of the room.

When Sele moves over to the stairwell, he notices it leads into a sumberged area.

If Spenser didn't have a light source, Harlis casts light on his sword, after which sir Quixote swims towards the single door, the shining sword on his back casting a shadow on the wall.

Swim checks to follow brave sir Quixote.

Reminder on swim checks:

Success means you may swim at up to half your speed (as a full-round action) or at a quarter of your speed (as a move action). If you fail by 4 or less, you make no progress.

You can hold your breath for a number of rounds equal to twice your Constitution score, but only if you do nothing other than take move actions or free actions. If you take a standard action or a full-round action (such as making an attack), the remainder of the duration for which you can hold your breath is reduced by 1 round. (Effectively, a character in combat can hold his breath only half as long as normal.)

Well, since there's no objections otherwise, here we go.
Harlis, i don't recall if your water breathing is still in effect, but probably.

For starting the swimming, i'm assuming everyone uses both free hands.

Harlis [Water breathing?]
Sele 16/24
Spenser 16/24
Vassago 16/24

After Spenser makes his initial swim, the three others follow, or at least, try to.
Both Sele and Vassago manage to swim after him, but Harlis' armor is seriously playing against him. Sele gets to near Spenser in 2 rounds.
It takes the others some time longer, but the team heads to the door in a Tetris block formation.

Spenser and Sele draw their weapons waiting for the others.
When everyone is present, Spenser opens the door, but sees nothing ahead, and shakes his head when he turns his head to face the others.

Exploring ahead still, he makes his way into the room.

The room you are in, as well as the one the lacedon came from, are indeed on a slant. Which now made me learn a new English word, looking that up. ^^
And indeed, moving about requires swim checks as such. The bottom of the stairs and the row right of it, is not wholly submerged, but are considered terrain & obstacle. Not that it is relevant, current time.

Combat is over, but poor Spenser drowns at the end of it.

Waaaaiiit a minute. Did I just die again? Because if so, and there's no other way to prevent it in time....

folio reroll on Constitution check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 ))))):(

I should really say something here: Technically, that last roll (and the one before it), were intended TO STOP BLEEDING OUT. I did not quite realize I was drowning, and hence never rolled to stop that...which would mean I get separate rolls for that for TWO ROUNDS.

Constitution check to avoid drowning, previous round: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Constitution check to avoid drowning, this round: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Good call on the folio, but f!ck the dicebot for that. :(

See above edit; I SWEAR I thought I was rolling just to stabilize, otherwise, my second-to-last post would have featured not 1, but 2 Constitution checks.

You stabilized already when you hit the negatives.

Spenser con vs bleeding out, GH: 1d20 + 1 + 2 - 5 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 2 - 5 = 13 Pass.
Spenser's body proves durable still, and he stabilizes from his wounds.
Spenser is going to have to make consecutive checks against drowning.

You rolled the 2nd check vs drowning, with the result of 9, which was below the DC.

So making sure I understand what's going on... so we got attacked savagely, Spenser is likely (and unfortunately) a goner. I need to swim out, but I'm still paralyzed, is that correct?

And if so, can I use a folio reroll on that Paralyze save?

Reroll if allowed:

Fort: 1d20 + 7 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 5 = 28
Swim: 1d20 ⇒ 13

GM:

So... assuming if all of the above works out... what is the timing along with Spenser? I know he is drowning, but assuming someone got him out, could I slap a heal on him to make him conscious and thus not drown? Just wanting to make sure I know what my options are and what can be done.

And sorry for not posting about this idea earlier... I just saw that I wasn't up for combat, and didn't pay attention to why I wasn't able to post in combat.

Yes to savagely attacked.
Not confirmed until judged as such by Magabeus.
Yes to paralysis, 2 rounds, last round of combat included.

Sele emerges, sloshing aside the water, as he gets up the stairs, his lunges relieved to be take in fresh air once more.

Vassago has 12/24 left, but let's handwave that, as once successful swim check gets him to the shallow part.

Vassago:

With underwater combat, once someone falls KO, like what happened after the 1st round, they immediately have to make a con check to avoid drowning.

The lacedon switch, as a group, between non paralyzed targets.
They'd gang up on a PC, that's a lot of potential paralysis saves, with a fair risk of falling to one of those attacks again.

Taking the above into account, the main problem would likely have been them being in the way, if they were ganging up on either of you three.

With the team swimming to gather at the door, something is taking positions.

Enemy stealth:

Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

When everyone is ready, Spenser pulls open the door, and peers inside.
Perception Spenser, good hope: 1d20 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 + 2 = 1

Spenser, would you like to use your folio here?
Just asking..

GM:

Fair enough; perhaps if I had acted earlier so it would have been far worse retconning, then it may have turned out better. But thanks for considering.

And as you posted, are we redoing the past couple of rounds of combat then?

Magabeus deemed it such, so yes.
